Staff and hotel lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Breakfast very poor, as copious amounts of food on hot plates but everything cold.
WELCOME PARKING HUGE BED STAFF ATTITUDE COURTYARD AND POOL
VERY SLOW SERVICE IN THE COURTYARD FOR GUESTS WANTING DRINKS ON FRIDAY O5 SEPTEMBER, SO MUCH SO THAT SEVERAL GAVE UP.
Loved the position. Close to transport and Montpellier le Comedies Square with bars, restaurants, a great buzz
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was OK with a good shower, but a hard bed. The terrace bar was pleasant on a warm evening. Breakfast was really good. Excellent parking in a secure garage.
Getting to the hotel is a nightmare through the convoluted streets of Montpellier. The hotel is beginning to look a bit tired and could do with some renovations.
Hotel has an excellent court yard swimming pool. Brilliant city centre location.
Hotel difficult to find by car, Rooms are very tired and could do with renovation.
nice room, clean, spacious
one staff member not very helpful
Lovely quiet garden area with a pool which was great in the heat.
Very noisy at night when the window was open with the racket from the street.
Receptionist very professional and went out of her way to find another room when I found the mattress too hard. Bath as well as shower. Lovely large period rooms and public areas. Breakfast buffet, both hot and cold, really good and lovely staff. Terrace ideal for breakfast and relaxation.
Hard mattress in initial room but it was dealt with immediately. Area around pool very small.
Spent three night earlier in August before country travels as we flew into Montpellier , also last night before leaving .Hotel is beautiful with super employees ! Real nice pool area and incredible restaurant . It's under five minutes to train station and lees than five to city square and 100s of restaurants and stores .The only downfall was finding it by car as it's tucked away and hard to locate fast . We were very happy to stay there and was a highlight of our trip to France . Don
Location and overall pleased with stay
The hotel is in need of some refurbishment. Did not give a satisfactory menu for a vegitarian
Atmospheric hotel with lovely outside space
The location. Next to many locations.
Graffiti and baseboards could have been cleaner. Smaller details if cleanliness although excellent sleeping. Comfortable bed
We loved the whole Oceania Le Métropole experience, from the edgy location to the shabby chic of the hotel. There was nothing shabby about the staff or the service in the restaurant or the bar - all the staff were very professional indeed. The location, 2 minutes from the main square was brilliant, too.
The car park was a tight squeeze for some of the larger people movers that are in favour at the moment.
Great location, excellent room size, loved grandeur of foyer and ground floor areas.
Small shower. No fridge.
Spacious room with high ceiling Comfortable bed Secure gated parking within premises Excellent location in the middle of Cours Mirabeau Superb wi fi connection Loved the rococo furniture in the lobby area Last but not least, wonderful and most helpful hotel staff one could ever wish for!
Lacked a kettle/water boiler, though you could ask for hot water from the staff easily should you need it The bathroom could do with some upgrade TV channels were mostly French
Traditional style, comfort and charm of the public areas. Central location. Good breakfast.
Shabby bedrooms. Noise at 3:00 am from other guests using the pool, which should have been prevented at that hour.
In a very handy place for getting into Montpellier. Has its own car park. Swimming pool.
Everything was fine in hotel but Montpellier is a bit grimy!
Staff Pool Tranquil Clean Good nights sleep Efficient
A part of the shower broke and fell off and hurt my friend..drawing blood on her foot.....The staff acted quickly to repair it but did not offer anything by means of an apology. Perhaps a meal or an offer of a free night (or even a brandy) might have softened the blow.
Swimming pool in the garden
furniture in our room was too old (however, everything was clean)
The historical elements of the hotel are quite beautiful - the overall atmosphere is peaceful. We were most impressed with the staff who were very professional, polite and kind. We had a huge issue with our original room - once we alerted the staff to the issue they acted immediately to ensure our comfort. We were most impressed and did enjoy our stay very much. We were advised that the hotel will be undergoing exciting, significant renovations in the near future. We look forward to another visit and gladly recommend this hotel to anyone.
Our original room was a horror. The foul smell made the eyes water, the carpet stained all over, the bathroom looked as if it was not cleaned for quite some time. This was a huge shock, to the point that we were trying to change reservations at our next destination as we could not stand to be in that room. We explained the situation to the staff who were most understanding and kindly showed us another room which was a HUGE improvement overall. We were far more comfortable and much happier - overall we enjoyed our stay.
Location & the breakfast was excellent. The staff were most helpful.
Room needed a coat of paint & some of the towels were threadbare.
Bathroom lifting and decor not good
Very helpful reception staff lots of effort to help you.
Breakfast staff seemed not happy to help. Had to ask for plates and cups when they cleared our table early. Could hear noise quite easily through walls
The Metropole is a beautiful, charming old hotel, walking distance from the train station. It's on it's way of renovation, let's see how it turns out when in it finished. For our stay of 6 nights we had a big, nice room in the 3rd floor, facing the courtyard of the hotel, meaning it could be silent, except when you have a family above. The (high)ceilings of the hotel musts be quite thin and therefore it felt like having a horde of elephants trampling around e.g. in the morning when you what to sleep in as it was a holiday and in the evening when you trying to fall asleep. The people working at the lobby are helpful but should think about where to place families. And it doesn’t make sense to have a family room in the top floor, except you want to be a family hotel.
