1) Staff in reception was rude when I asked why internet was not working. She said you have to wait. I asked how long. She replied rudely as '1 year'. This is not customer friendly at all. 2) The unpaved road towards the top of the mountain.
Good room clean and cosy.
Difficult to find, a bit further from Evian than we realised.
Staff good but kept saying someone was coming to repair wifi !!! For whole of our stay!! Location is good if you like Quiet as in 'away from it all'! There is a Pool but they don't sell bathing wear ( they could do well here as I would have bought one)! Forgot mine! Gym for use during office hours only!! Price is good but when you add in no wifi and reduced access to facilities pool /gym etc not so good
No one came to repair wifi so it was off during office hours and on after 6ish and even then very temperamental - we stayed above office NOT RECOMMENDED Although opposite apartments looked good!! VERY NOISY AT NIGHT WITH NEWCOMERS COLLECTING KEYS !! DO NOT BOOK IF YOU RELY ON WI FI WOULD HAVE RETURNED HERE NEXT YEAR BUT NO GUARANTEE OF WIFI IS A PUT OFF ! Such a shame as would have liked to try out the apartments that look across to office block Take your own pillows
Nice, quiet place, with perfect view
Address is wrong :-)
It was a studio, large enough to move about.
I specifically asked for a kettle and I was told there was one in the kitchen. Unfortunately, there was no kettle in sight. Needed hot water but did not want to use the microwave for this purpose as the microwave was on a high shelf above the cooker hood which I considered VERY dangerous when bringing the bowl of hot water down from the microwave. The Gym and swimming pool do not open before 9.00am which I could not use because I consider this too late. Usually these facilities open before 7.00am so that guests can have their breakfast after they have been to the gym and enjoy the rest of the day.
Great location for Evian - maybe 4 miles. Not too expensive. Quiet
Reception does not open until 3 so need to bear that in mind when arriving. We had 2 floor apartment in main building, Low ceiling in small bedroom so had to duck to get into bed. Small, very hard double bed with square pillows - very uncomfortable. No T Towels provided, asked and told they didn't have enough for every apartment but would try and find spare one for us! Got in 3 days later!
The location and that the staff spoke English
I have never seen anything like this it was dirty every where, big lumps of hair and dust in EVERY corner and on the stair. We didn't dare to look under the beds afraid of what we might find, the walls had spider webs every where and the whole apartment smelled of cheap food oil. The floor in the upstairs bedroom hasn't been washed for a really LONG LONG time, and if it had it must be with a very very dirty mop. So disgusting. In the kitchen all glasses and dishes had to be washed before you could even touch them. Also the WIFI didn't work very well.
Our sink was clogged and the reception closed at 19h and Sundays.
The tiny studio we were given is not like in any of the photographs. No sofa. Kitchen did not have doors on all the cupboards. The bathroom was not very clean and the wifi did not always work.
The second time we visited the reception, they changed our accommodation to a slightly better chalet. However this should not have been necessary and would not have been had the accommodation been clean and as described. The 2nd accommodation was slightly cleaner.
Dirty floor, walls, cover on sofa bed was filthy and the mattress was covered in hairs! The receptionist couldn't be bothered to come and look. Other people's clothes left in second apartment. Broken glass found under bed when we swept up before we left. Not enough comfortable seating for the maximum number of occupants. Wooden chairs are not comfy to sit on for a period of time. In 1 bed apartment there was only 2 hobs without heat indicators and 1 pan and 1 frying pan could not sit safely on it! The 2nd apartment had 4 hobs which was better.
The location near Evian was lovely. We loved Lake Geneva and there was lots of walking in the area. The layout of the site was practical and pleasant and the chalets were very spread out with lots of outside space. Nice, warm swimming pool which the children loved!
The one bed chalet was small and extremely dirty. The walls were covered in mould which is not great when you have an asthmatic child! The windows could only be left fully open or closed which made it difficult on the ground floor at night. As the children had the bedroom, we slept on the sofa bed which was too soft and saggy resulting in 3 poor nights' sleep. Added to this there was an awful lot of noise from youths running around the site late at night. Finally, the wifi was pretty much non-existent and when I took this up with the receptionist the answer was to try again later. When it eventually did work, it was too slow to be of any use. Not that we rely on internet access but it was advertised as a major facility...
Very helpful staff with good customer service
Wi fi bad connection
Great view. Rooms clean and comfortable
Fridge barely worked. Wifi sporadic. Asked for more toilet paper/garbage bags. Told not provided.
No service Staff presence Poor furniture
We liked the location.
The manager was awful consescending and rude. The room was dirty. The beds had bugs and insects! The coach smelled of urine. The main door was jammed the toilet didn't work. It was the worst experience we had in Europe.
Pool area was nice, especially with small children. Nice view over the lake from the apartment.
Nearest super market rather far away. The kitchen didn't have a dishwasher, although there was a spot for one.
Location Rooms Cleaness Security
Located above Evian with good view of the lake.
Very dirty (we had an empty bottle of bier waiting for us on the front when we first arrived). Spiders and webs all over the room. The toilets were broken. Room facilities, including beds, sheets, pillows etc. were very basic. Front desk were nice but not helpful. WiFi and cellular reception is practically dead so we were offline during our stay.
Pool and tennis courts. Beeakfast option in reception building.
Isolated location without any shop in near vicinity. I cannot understand why there is not a shop on site with basic supplies as it is quite a drive to reach any shops or restaurants. There is no proper ceiling between upstairs and downstairs - literally just the wooden floor boards - so no sound insulation and, in fact, the kids could peek down at us through a knot hole in the floorboards. I did not feel that the chalet had been cleaned well before we arrived as the floor felt grimy under foot. Wardrobe door didn't slide well on rails. Shower did not have a wall attachment so you had to hold it above you to wash.
Lovely location and views. Pool was a real asset and worked well regardless of weather.
Kitchen was really poor, states fully equipped kitchen, however, no oven, toaster, kettle ortin opener. Making family cooking a challenge!
It is nearby Evian and with a good surrounding
Spent 2 hours to find the house. Still it is not on international route guidance, not on map. The given street name is not recognized.
Nice, clean and comfortable place. Great surroundngs. Arrived late but well guided for key in safe.
A bit of a walk up the hill from car park to carry luggage and little kids arriving late at night. Need GPS to find the location.
difficult to find
The location would be lovely if not in the clouds and so isolated. The receptionist was lovely, clearly overworked as she was the only one left to check the rooms after cleaning, which obviously she hadn't had time to do. She did offer to change our accommodation but we declined and had our money refunded.
The accommodation was dirty, mould in the bathroom, dirty skirting boards in the kitchen. The pans were dirty and unusable. The room was dark, cramped and had windows set so high you couldn't see out of them, more like being in a cell. There are no food facilities on site, not even for basics like bread and milk, which for a self catering site is dreadful. Also there is no restaurant, cafe or bar. Very remote so you have to drive to any shops after you arrive which for us travelling for 6hrs was not pleasing. The directions given for the site is also confusing as no distances mentioned and our SatNav didn't recognise the postcode. Eventually found it using my app on my mobile.
Swimming pool, the peaceful surroundings, the well stocked kitchen and the comfortable bed
Long wait to check in (30 min in queue) the musty smell when we went in to the chalet, the dirty stains on walls and cobwebs, the lack of action by the staff when I commented that the room was below par, no hair dryer
