Fantastic location. Beautifully preserved excellent accommodation
Rather poor amenities for such a great place: only shampoo and shower gel. No conditioner, no vanity kit, shaving kit. And why do they have a big notice in the bathroom that towels and floor mats are 20 euros each? They have a history of guests stealing floor mats?
Fabulous decor and art. Hugely comfortable bed and great view out of bedroom window. All just perfect and what we needed.
Have no idea!!
This place was great if you like the historic value of the hotel and a place with a great view!
The high price is for the history and the view. Nothing much else.
The art work
No swimming pool or leisure complex
Dusty carpets No view
Location, service and view
Perfect location Excellent service
A bit short bed
Staff were extremely helpful & Hotel was clean.
had a room on front with a balcony, and that's wher it ends. big stain on carpet in Bedroom, couldn't have a proper shower as fixed to wall, no extra plugs for Internet etc. Internet only spasmodic,Television did not work, switches for lights hanging over headboard on white leads-not what expected of 5 star Hotel at that price. Found black plastic screw top in salad in Restaurant! Got compensation for that but not for room.
Old fashioned comforts in a superb location. What a treat v
Foyer and common areas were first rate. The staff were excellent especially concierge, doormen and associated personnel..The location is perfect.
Rooms are very tired and definitely need updating to match the rest of the hotel. There was nothing special about the rooms, tv was small and no ironing facilities without sending to laundry at excessive rates.
The atmosphere of the hotel is very special, something we have not experienced before.
The beautiful, quirky hotel was perfectly placed for a stylish and relaxing late summer break. It was quite a walk to the Old Town, but we found plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the Musee Massena next door had beautiful gardens open to the public, where we took a picnic lunch on a couple of occasions. The museum itself was also very good, and also free - always a bonus! Would recommend this hotel for anyone who appreciates art and traditional styling. If you prefer modern, minimalist styles, this will not be to your taste. The staff were very attentive, the rooms were spotlessly clean, and when we arrived, because our room was not ready we were given coffee in the terrace of Le Rotonde restaurant while we waited. Service is certainly high on their list of priorities.
The only disappointment was that the hotel did not have a private swimming pool. Although we had the opportunity to swim in the sea, which was immediately across the road from the hotel, it would have been nice to be able to use in-house facilities and not have to endure the pebbled beach to reach the water.
Excellent and efficient staff
The hotel was a bit shabby around the edges . Lack of quality amenities .
Size of room, location, staff.
No wi-fi in room and mold on the shower walls.
The hotel is really picturesque and well situated at the very sea shore. Some people can say that the hotel needs renovation & refurbeshment and there is no modern conveniences like in most european 5 stars hotels. But the reason is this hotel is architectural monument with it's own history, so you should be ready to the fact you will leave not in the hotel, but in museum. If you like all this historical stuff, you will surely adore this place!!! :)
absence of modern conveniences and old-fashiond style.
Spacious rooms,, each with individual design Excellent view
Room dining bit expensive
Staff, concierge, decoration, room space
Excellent location, the personal service from all the staff was first class. I would definitely return to this hotel on my next visit.
Room was not ready during check in time. We were tired after long flight
I loved everything. The restaurant LE CHANTECLER was the best ever. The chef even signed a menu for me. I have traveled around the world but this was the BEST HOTEL AND RESTAURANT EVER. I did not want to leave.
Everything was great. The only thing I didn't like was that I was alone. Nice and especially this hotel LE Negnesco was to lovely and romantic to be alone.
Excellent location on Promenade des Anglais
Service. I prebooked lunch in La Rotunde several weeks in advance but on arrival no record of our booking. We were given a table on the terrace and waited half an hour to be served whilst other people arrived and were served befor us. Whilst being served our waiter was distracted and had a conversation with someone in the next table, perhaps this us why there was a mistake on ouf order!
Location, size of room , view from room, cleanliness of room.
On second stay did not ask what newspaper we wanted, next morning I asked for English newspaper told me that I had not ordered one, so they did not have enough. For the money we paid thought we could have gotten paper. Exercise room is a joke.
