Some free public parking lots nearby, counter staff is courteous and helpful with directions.
Numerous problems like bathroom door unable to close properly, windows unable to open/close properly, aircon & room smelt of cigarette, no holder for shower head, no holder for soap, bed with broken springs, dirty room, sink drainer cap missing, poor WiFi receptivity.
very nice hotel with a big comfortable room, big balcony free public parking next to the hotel very friendly staff giving you all the information you need; also we arrived 2 hours later than the check-in time and they waited for us bus to the center is right across the hotel very fast wifi!
unpleasant incident with a drunk resident who started screaming and hitting all the room doors in the middle of the night, but the hotel staff apologized and solved the situation
Shower walls and curtains were dirty and full of mould. I was so disappointed. Bed was concaved in so you keep rolling into one another. And the bed room was alot different to what the add was betraying. I understand its a 2 star hotel but it charges crazy prices for what you get. I truly think its disgusting how they can charge people to stay in those rooms. I hope people see this post because I definitely wont be staying there again.
Good Wi-Fi, separate shower, good stuff, silent room, good conditioning, free parking all streets around, 2 double beds.
8 EUR for breakfast, I suggest to eat in the restaurants around ;)
The hotel neptune may not be the best hotel in the world but the hotel owner is an absolute legend and probably one of the most helpful and polite people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. From spending about half an hour helping me hunt down a place to print some business cards, letting us keep our bags their all day even when we had checked out, and even going as far as letting our friend who had no where to stay stay in with us for free, we would not hesitate to use again purely on the service. They aim to make you feel at home and couldn't recommend more for that. Thanks for making our stay in Cannes awesome :)
Only real thing was the shower connection on the wall was broken so had to hold it and the wi-fi was a bit on and off.
For beach it would be good. It was on a good bus route.
Breakfast only started at 8am and was served in the hall. I was out earlier anyway as I was there for work. Brothers who own it are extremely helpful and gave good advice on local transport etc.
there was nothing that I didn't like.
Though the hotel room looks nice in the pictures, the reality is far from what we were expecting to find. Room is desperately crying for maintenance and redecoration!! Straps of old painting were cracking and hanging from ceiling in several places. As for the bathroom, the situation is far worst. The shower base was dirty and full of mold. Where it was supposed to be two tiles, we found only two deep big holes showing the plumbing. The hairdryer plug a menace to safety!!… out of place and showing wires!!! Besides all this disgusting things, an annoying noise similar to someone sawing metal all night long. To describe the room in one single word…. Nightmare!!
Wifi - single line. Wifi connection kept on dropping when hotel took money online from customer bookings - when queried, they said they had to unplug internet for hotel to plug in money collection equipment/connection!!!! Infuriating when on international skype calls. Taxi fare from centre = approx. 14 euros at night when bus service was poor. This counter-acted good room-price. Bus fare and service from hotel to centre in day-time was excellent at 1.5 euros.
Very quaint room and staff friendly. Value for money.
No secure parking.
