Almost everything. Beautiful decor throughout. Great location, underground parking, superb food/drink/lounge/pool area. Internet connection is way way too expensive, and didn't work well at all - and the business centre was worse than useless (€1 per 3 minutes - took over 5 minutes just to get a connection). Staff (apart from one) not interested in helping.

Hotel was pleasantly surprising for the price that we paid. Free wifi was a bonus, although the connection was not stable and we had to keep re-logging in. Quite a walk to the main port area but bus stop 1 min from the hotel made it convenient. Staff spoke english well and were very helpful. The food at restaurant Victor was excellent. The decor is tasteful and welcoming. Will definitely stay there again!

Staff, as always were, very friendly and helpful. There was parking available. The location for us, turned out to be a bit too far from the city centre. We like tower the old parts of town so being a fair way out made it awkward for us. The hotel itself is fine.

Modern hotel well situated on the way from the old harbor( extremely touristic) to the beaches.Easily to find if you take the tunnel which leads under Marseille (take the last exit named Pharo). Same when going to the airport. Parking beside the hotel.Well isolated rooms, 1.80 bed. In my eyes, i't probably the best choice for Marseille, because situated not too far away from the center, but calm. By feet, some 10-15 minutes to the harbor, but you can also the your car and park it in the Charles-de-Gaulle-Parking. A trip of 3 minutes. The staff is very helpful. The "baggagiste" in front of the reception-desk gives you plenty of explanations. One advice: take the car direction "corniche" (so straight on) and the beaches and at the end, take left to the calanque Sormiou. The hotel reception will indicate you the way and take a reservation, so that you can get to it with your car (car restriction from April on).Restaurant le Câteau. Overwhelming view to the sea! The old center is a bit disappointing. Take also care of your hand-bag. We were robbed by scooter attack 2 streets away from the old harbor. The awful clothes of the staff.

I liked the fact that after a business event on the other side of the street sofitel, we could come back to the hotel and have dinner in the restaurant with colleagues at 22.00 hours I did not like the fact that it was not well indicated in the parking that guests could park on the -4 level for lower parking rate. I parked on the 0 level and there was no understanding for this miscommunication. I paid 30 euro for 1 night in the parking!

Staff were always friendly and the rooms were very clean. The brunch platter was very good and worth the money as it includes free wine also. Although I booked a double room, I was given a twin. The room was also very hot and the air conditioning didn't appear to work. The location was good in some respects but it is quite a walk to the port.

The breakfast 16 Euro per person is almost classic French. But there is no another place to get it.

The location of the hotel was excellent, just a very short walk to le vieux port. Very friendly staff and could speak english which was a help as I am not fluent in french but I know the basics. Lovely comfortable hotel and very clean and I would definetely recommend this hotel and would stay there if I went to marseille again. The only downside was the price of a pint of beer. That was a bit steep but thats the way the euro seems to be going these days. I am very happy with my welcome at the hotel and send my best wishes to everyone at the hotel. I enjoyed my stay and I hope to see you again sometime. Thankyou. Merci Very happy with my stay. There wasnt anything that I didnt like

The hotel is very conveniently located - not far from the Old Port. The area is quite calm and nice - quite unlike seedy places surrounding the harbor. The hotel is quite pricey but it is value for money. There was an apparent lack of staff at the reception in the evening when I arrived - check-in took some 20 minutes. Otherwise, everything was ok.

Great hotel near the city and close to the beach. Better to stay here than close to Vieux port which is very touristy. Nice pool area and nce restaurant with great service. Nice design. Jakob, the Swedish guy working there is a great person! Great service and a lot of knowledge about Marseille. He made the stay worth all the money!! Some of the other staff weren't as helpful as him, and really didn't listen to us, but Jakob helped us in every way! Some traffic nearby.

the hotel was very relaxing, a great location in between the harbour and the beach. I enjoyed the pool and the room a lot, which was very comfortable The airconditioning didn't really get any cooler, even after I set it to extreme low temperatures. The dinner in the restaurant was a bit overpriced and not of great quality. Had some issues with getting the free wifi to work but found out after 2 days that this was because of multiple devices being logged in at the same time in our room. Other than that I have nothing to complain!

10 min walk from city center, nice location, clean, well designed reception, discount at the nearby public parking Slow internet only in the reception area. They charge the coffee making facilities that are in the room (2,50 euros for a nespresso that you make on your own!)

The location of the hotel is good, although on a busy road (where in Marseille isn't?) just out of the noise and bustle of the Vieux Port area and closer to the small beaches around the esplanade drive. The entrance and reception of the hotel are in a distinctive old building, originally the Pasteur Institute, adjacent to a modern four floor building housing most of the hotel facilities. The decor of the hotel is modern, lively and fun. The pool area and bar/restaurant area also had a sitting area which meant you could enjoy the outdoors without having to order a meal or drinks. There were a number of smaller, more intimate seating areas around. The personnel were invariably helpful and courteous with a good attitude, although in some cases, noticeably new at the job or not particularly well trained. The air conditioning in the room would only work on very minimal setting, but we didn't open the window as our room was directly above the service area at the rear of the hotel. Although we were on the third floor, the noise from this area was infuriating, starting with first truck delivery at 6am. It also seemed to be the staff smoking area, as there were often small groups of employees gathered there talking. Although the staff were polite and helpful, there was a general lack of professionalism about the place e.g. both mornings at breakfast at the outdoor restaurant, we sat near cigarette butts either on the floor, or in full ashtrays on adjacent tables, clearly left over from the previous evening's customers at the bar. Surely, when setting up for breakfast, the staff could have seen this and cleared away the offending articles?

Spacious rooms and the location is nice. There is a car park right alongside the hotel with an allocated slot for hotel guests. Nespresso machine in room with 3 types of coffee capsule to choose from. Comfortable bed and good tv network. Inet is available through swissom I have been using this hotel for a few years now, and think it could do with a bit of upkeep - paint work; carpets etc.,I Had room service and it was very poor indeed, a surprise for this hotel that used to boast a good kitchen

“I don't believe you can find a better value with location and quality in Marseille. It is easy to locate, ideal for walking to all areas of the city including (obviously) the Vieux-port, the city's shopping area, boat rides, as well as Notre Dame de la Garde. No charge for Wifi is a big plus. Parking is across the street in an underground garage, easy to get back and forth to hotel. I have stayed here on two separate trips and will continue to stay here on return trips.” Ursula, Norfolk |
