Location location...and staff very friendly, 24 hours hot water.
I booked a car from hotel to cdg (solo passenger) for 26 euros and turns out that your not a solo passenger, there's another passenger already in the van..
The saving grace is that it is over the road from the Eurostar.....
To pay that price for this hotel is a scandal....
After a very uncomfortable bed and tiny room in London, we were quite happy to find our stay at New Hotel Gare du Nord to be the exact opposite. Bed was extremely comfortable, lovely little balcony, staff helpful and pleasant and a great location, although not in central Paris, having Gare du Nord across the road was so convenient for the RER to airport, Metro and also the Eurostar from London. All in all great value for money.
room is small and pretty old
Customer Service...they were very helpful
Location right next to the Metro and Gare de Nord Very comfortable bed and sound allround facilities
Location Plenty of places nearby to have breakfast Good hot water shower Good wifi Good heating Friendly staff
A bit noisy A bit worn
+ Excellent location oppisit to the central train station, Gare du Nord. + Very quiet place, suitable for business visitors to Paris. + Availability of many restaurants, coffee shops, and super markets very close to the hotel
- Toilet and shower are separated in different rooms. - Uncomfortable narrow staircase. - No electrical socket near the desk, required for charging laptops and phones.
Location is close to main train station.
Cleanliness of room need to improve as you can find some bug on the bed which is ridiculous.
Noise. Room too small.
Except location nothing is ok
No service, it's almost like self service
Staff hotel on duty when we are check-in on 6 nov 14 12 pm very nice .He was friendly, helpfull and informatif.thank u mr.
Lift and acces to the room
Room clean, very new bathroom. Comfortable
Small staircase, some stairs at the exit of the elevator, not great for big luggage.
Updated bathroom Location couldn't be better to trains from Gare du Nord station Quiet room
Hallway and stairs were steep and not well lit. Only 2 pillows
Not enough light ib the room bulb s blown
Liked the location except for noise but must expect that, can't have it all.Bathroom was fairly recently renovated but badly needs paintwork attended to.
Lift was cute but very scary, opening onto staircase on 2nd floor was dangerous.
I liked the position because it was basically in front of the Gar du Nord with Metro stop just there. The room was generally clean and big enough. TV was working well.
The shower was very old. The pillows of the bed were so old that they were yellow underneath the pillowcase, I didn't use them. The staff was a little bit strange, they didn't leave us any receipt when we paid and they didn't ask any documents. Basically everybody could just go and ask for a room key and steal your stuff.
The location is really good.
I was locked outside of the hotel for an hour until the hotel staff finally woke up to open the door. Also I got shouted at for not leaving the keys by the reception... Would rather stay at ibis or kyriad next time.
The reciption guy is the worst I had met
Close to gard du nord. Staff were friendly and helpful. Great view of gard de nord
Noisy. uncomfortable bed. Seedy area
Close to all transportation. Nice people to deal with. Close to eating places. Interesting place to walk. We ended up liking the place
The elevator was a problem The door opened up 5 stairs from the landing up or down. (you have to see it to believe it). The first day we were there the water to the shower was not working but that was fixed by midnight.
The young concierge who was of great help when things went wrong on 24/10/14
The elderly concierge who was completely ignorant of the problems I encountered on the first night of my stay offered no apology and did not acknowledge the evacuation of the sixth floor on 24/10/14.
Awful all nearly every account, from the mildew coating the bathroom ceiling, to the wifi that was spotty everywhere beyond the lobby, to the room listed as a quintuple that would have been tight for two people to manuever within, to the unhelpful sarcasm of the front desk personnel. The one possible redeeming feature of this hotel is its proximity toward getting out of town.
0600 water poured from ceiling light fixtures in bathroom and hall just outside room entrance. Could not use shower and left the room an hour before I needed to.
Hotel gave me breakfast without charge. As compensation
Water pressure for shower was great. Clean rooms.
Very loud outside. Tiny rooms. No control of heat. Difficulty getting bags to the room.
