Mercure Nice Marché Aux Fleurs  

Prima hotel. Prachtige ligging. Marché aux Fleurs dichtbij met talrijke restaurantjes. Parkeren geen probleem: drie garages in de directe omgerving.

Een formele klacht is reeds gestuurd naar het hotel voor een aantal zaken. Maar wat wèl voor belang is voor de site: airco deed het niet, het was maar wat warme lucht dat rond werd geblazen. En dat voor 172,00€ per kamer ! 2 keer wat van gezegd tegen de receptie maar zij beweerde dat het het wel deed. We hebben nauwelijks een oog kunnen dicht doen van de warmte! Personeel (en directie) onvriendelijk en niet meedenkend.

Excellent location between the boulevard and the old town. Nice room with perfect sound insulation. Very helpfull staff.

Personeel was vriendelijk,de ligging was goed en voor de rest valt er niet veel te vertellen.

We hadden de laatste tweepersoonskamer,met twee enkelbedden en een klein badkamer met een half bad,ik had ook een haardroger verwacht

We liked the position of the hotel on the seaside and being able to cross the road straight on to the famous Nice promenade. The old city is immediately behind the hotel with the Marche Aux Fleurs area and its restaurants easily accessible.

The hotel did not have a lift, but the hotel staff helped carry the luggage up to our room on the 1st floor level.

The staff were most helpful ..creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The rooms were tastefully decorated and kept very clean.

Location.. Location.. Location. Easy access to the animation and color of the Flower Market, the Old Town, the vast public gardens and - of course - the Sea, via the Quai des Americains and the Promenade des Anglais. A tram provides a rapid and direct link between the gare and the hotel. (We came down by train.) The room itself was spacious, well decorated and clean, our bed large and comfortable. The bath was large and well appointed, with guest bathrobes, scuffs, etc.

The buffet breakfast was mediocre and overpriced at 15 euros (the local norm for hotels, it seems). It was difficult to keep the room at desired temperature with their thermostatic control (temp + fan speed) and forced air at ceiling level. The only soruce of heat in the bath was through the open door. (This in December 2011.)

A room with sea view is available, but only with additional charge.

The furnitures and decoration of the breakfast room can be improved.

We had a problem with a train reservation for the next day and the receptionist was exceptionally kinde and helpful in trying to resolve the issue. The rest of the staff was helpful as well in giving us information about the city. The location was excellent as well.

Location excellent in respect of beach, market, old town, restaurants and shopping. Public parking quite close by. Coffee/tea facilities in the room.Two television sets, with adequate channels.

No lift and the room's bed on mezzanine floor, accessible via narrow staircase,not convenient for mature couple like us.Aircon effective, but a bit noisy.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They spoke very good English which was helpful. The location of the hotel to the beach as well as the food market behind was excellent.

The view from our room wasn't very nice, which was abit of a shame.

The location was simply amazing! Right in the center and especially right in front of the sea on Promenade des Anglais! The staff was very nice and helpful! The room was very clean and I enjoyed having a 2 floored bedroom!

The only turn down was that where the air-conditioned came out (even when it was off) made a lot of noise! I couldn't fall asleep easily so the next day I bought some ear plugs.

our original room smelled like cigarettes, but we requested another room and staffs were great for relocating us to another room.
