Location, easy to walk out and access so much of Paris on foot. Quietness, I had a very quiet room
The hotel is looking tired, and could do with a spruce up. I have had better hotels in the area for a similar price
Location Price is OK
Staff were over officious - not all some are quite helpful Had to wait till 2 to check in - but thuey didi find somewhere for meto change
Old world charm. Spacious fifth floor suite. Half block from Louvre and 3 blocks from Metro. Good hot breakfast. Courteous and helpful staff. Many nearby restaurants. Air conditioning.
Noisy children late one night.
The hotel is 4 star but the furnishings are pretty old and shabby
No mini bar(advertised as being one) Poor TV set and channels No coffee making facilities in room Poor wall insulation Servicing room staff poor Bathroom smelly Noisy room from outside activities Very over priced and in need of a substantial makeover
Location Nice comfortable bar with Wifi
Room appeared not to have been renovated since the 70's Poor state of woodwork, bathroom Noisy
THE OLD STYLE OF THE HOTEL, MUCH PREFERRED TO THE STERILE MODERN MAKE-OVERS ONE FINDS IN SO MANY PARIS HOTELS. NICE HIGH-CEILINGS IN ROOMS, MOULDINGS AND DARK WOOD FURNITURE, NICE DRAPERY. LIKED MY ROOM AND LARGE WARDROBE WITH WOOD AND MIRRORS. THE NORMANDY BAR - PUB-STYLE WARMTH BUT WITH LOVELY WHITE TABLECLOTHS, GOOD FOOD. GOOD SERVICE AT RECEPTION DESK, CONCIERGE, B'FAST ROOM. GOOD FAN IN ROOM SO I COULD KEEP WINDOWS CLOSED AGAINST ANY STREET NOISE.
SLOW INTERNET SERVICE IN ROOM (BUT FINE DOWNSTAIRS AT THE HOTEL'S GUEST COMPUTER). ON SOME TV CHANNELS, FUZZY RECEPTION. DO NOT MIND SOME PEELING PAINT ON DOORS. SAW OTHERS' COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS BUT IT IS NOT AN ISSUE WITH ME.
louvre friendly, shopping places are near, near to mc donalds:)
The location was premiere, however the accommodations were sub-par.
Dirty sheets, stain / torn carpets, unkept bathrooms, tattered walls, shabby lobby - certainly not a hotel worthy of its address, price or star status. If we were in Hollywood the review would be a vigorous two thumbs down.
Really only like the location. The room was big. Room 126
The room needed to be decorated, mould on windows and walls, really old bathroom. Dirty carpet didn't want to take your shoes off. Not a 4 Stars hotel as I am use to.
Rude staff. Facilities extremely old & in need of a renovation. Bathroom blocked, bed extremely uncomfortable, room looks like it is falling apart. Extremely disappointed as online the pictures must be touched up as it is nothing like the pictures. Would not recommend to anyone & I have never reviewed like this before.
the staff service was great the first room Tradition room water was cold changed room for the second night
the noise, the noise, the noise but what can you do!
Need to be renovated
The position was excellent.
Lack of service Initial Failure to supply correct room booking Poor condition of property No tea or coffee facilities in room No hair dryer Very old & noisy air conditioner that was very inefficient Bathroom fixtures in very poor condition Lack of communication between staff members
Despite telling them I needed a double bed and that I was in a wheelchair the access was awful. The is a 15cm approx step from the foyer to the lifts which are tiny. There's no ramp and we had to take the chair to bit with me in it to use the lift. We found a ramp, but the staff didn't offer to help assemble it. When the lift broke down, we actually fixed it ourselves. The room I'd booked with a double bed wasn't accessible for even a small wheelchair, but when swapped they couldn't provide a double bed. Room service was poor and over-priced. 93 euro for 2/3 poor sandwiches, a salad and 250ml wine, no glasses, no cutlery and a porter who couldn't communicate. My assistant assembled the ramp on a daily basis, but the staff never offered to help and were generally uninterested in the problems I experienced. If you didn't have a disability the run- down feel to the hotel might be an issue. The paintwork was very scruffy, as was the furniture.
location between the louve and the royal palace was awesome
the place could use some new furniture and wallpaper
-Great location, one block from the Louvre. -Staff worked hard to correct a problem. They also got us last minute tickets to the Moulin Rouge, when it was sold out on line. -Large rooms and bathrooms. -Breakfast buffet was large and hot and fresh.
Location ,for louvre,Tuileries gardens etc Friendly and helpful staff.
Very dated, needs a good overhaul getting a bit tatty
Checking out early!
Regarding our stay at .......... we were horribly disappointed in the recommendation for this hotel. I have booked through your site for other hotels and have always been very satisfied with the service and the hotel. In this case I was disgusted. The hotel we saw online was a charming quaint historic representation of old paris. What we encountered was a run shack of an establishment. The first room we were given was in the upper floors of the hotel and it was hot and cover in mold. It had peeling paint and broken air conditioning. The bedding was dirty and the bathroom was very unpleasant to say the least. Upon complaining to the hotel staff we were upgraded to a room overlooking the courtyard at least thats what we were told. In fact it overlooked nothing but a rundown view of the interior of the hotel. It had a leaking fridge dirty walls, peeling paint, dirty walls, broken strong boxes, windows that wouldn't close and curtains that didn't open. It was as disgusting or worse than the first room. Again speaking with hotel staff they agreed that there hotel was rundown and the management were bankers in the business to make money not provide decent lodging. Is that what this site is recommending? Does no one check out these hotels? We were very disappointed and would have changed hotels immediately but couldn't find one available at the late hour we arrived. So we got up early and moved out the next morning wanting to burn the clothes we had slept in to find a suitable place to spend our vacation in paris. Sad we got charged 138 euros for the evening at the bates like motel. We hope that your site will provide some compensation for this horrible night and experience.
Rude arrogant staff. Ancient plumbing that did not drain. Rooms so hot you sweat lying on your bed but no cooling apart from a very old and noisy fan that is impossible to use. Lost booking and then blamed me with confirmation slip. No decent restaurants close by apart from an excellent patisserie for a breakfast croissant but certainly no lunch or dinner. I'd strongly advise book elsewhere.
With the experience about the taxi booking, there is nothing that I can like
We ordered a taxi to the train station the night before our departure and was assured it was OKay.. When the time came for check out, we found no order for the taxi was placed by the receptionist the night before. To make matter worse, no taxi was available for the next half hour as it was rush hour, and we nearly miss the train. This is very irresponsible as it could disrupt the traveller.s plan and iterinary.
Location, shuttle to airport, Wi-fi,
Room servis - doesn't work. After 1 hour waiting for order I went to external restaurant. Air conditioning - doesn't work Bathroom equipment - preety dated, Lack of remote control to TV
The staff were very gruff, hardly smiled, and every request of mine seemed like a chore to them. I didn't feel valued, or welcome. Parisians in business and hospitality need to learn politeness and graciousness, with a smile. There was no room service.
Cheap price and location
No ironing board or iron available. No air con. Curtains didn't make the room dark enough.
Very good location to Louvre Museum for 3 minutes. Many restaurants are around the hotel. the staff are very nice to help visitors.
The only disadvantage is that the facilities are old, specially, wifi is slow.
