Normotel - Restaurant La Marine  

We liked everything about the hotel and though the restaurant was first class. I would rate the hotel the best we have stayed in anywhere in provincial France (we like to visit France at least twice a year, usually one visit to Paris and one to the country). The staff were very friendly as well as efficient, both breakfast and dinner were excellent, and the room was very comfortable. Caudebec itself I think is an excellent place to stay: easy to reach from the ferry at Dieppe, a good centre for the coast, Rouen, Le Havre and most parts of Seine Maritime, easy parking at the hotel, and a very pleasant small town without being too 'touristy'. The river makes for constant interest. Every aspect of the hotel reminds me of the sort of good quality 3 star English hotel I used to stay at with my parents 40 years ago but now seems impossible to find at a reasonable price in England. I hope we will be back next year.

Very friendly and attentive staff, who are able to speak English if needed. Well situated overlooking the Seine in a fine town withgood road connections.

Steep steps to the road at front of Hotel.

The room was pleasant and had a wonderful view of the Seine and a balcony from which to enjoy it. The location was convenient for exploring Caudebec-en Caux. The evening meal was good.

Its glorious and convenient location meant that the pleasure boat moored overnight opposite disturbed us as it had its engine going all the time, including all night (presumably for air-con, which the hotel did not have and which meant we kept the balcony doors open: it was hot!) There were few other guests.

The categories don't cater for the main reason for my choice - dog friendly and over looking the Seine, surrounded by a scenic valley - excellent for a stop over on the return journey home. Neither the dog, my partner nor myself could believe the luxury the dog was permitted to wallow in; including the fact that he was accommodated in the restaurant/ breakfast room, much to his delight. On the human aspect, excellent shower and comfortable bed.

Staff were very helpful. Hotel was in a nice location in Caudebec, and although our room was at the back, the front rooms would have enjoyed a good view of the Seine. Rooms were quite compact, but clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a good continental breakfast, in a nice dining area. Free Wifi was available and worked well. We found it easy to get parking outside the hotel, which was free.

We stayed during a hot weekend, and the rooms did get very warm. Nearby restaurant played music very loud, late into Saturday evening, which combined with our necessary open window, made sleeping, especially with small children in the room, difficult. The only reason we have said "fair" for value for money, was that they had no family rooms available, so we ended up having two seperate rooms to accommodate our family of 4.

Great value for your money in a little tranquil town if you can live with a fact the hotel is in an old building. The lobby and the restaurant with a view to the river Seine are beautiful.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. Staff was very attentionate

I liked its setting and the fact that I could sit and look out onto the river from the balcony. The breakfast was delicious with a wide choice. The service was excellent.

I would have liked somewhere to sit in the room other than on the bed. I had trouble with the shower which I couldn't switch off. The member of staff who dealt with it for me said that the tap was very stiff.

Location. Good breakfast. Clean.

Could not get any international news channels on tv or any English speaking channels

Bedroom small and out of date

Large, clean and comfortable room. Super view over Seine. Interesting to watch different boats/cargo containers using river. Fairly good choice for breakfast - lots of cakes but not many cold meats. Overall good though. Would stay there again.

mauvaise literie, la chambre très vieille, lumière dans la salle de bain très insuffisante, mobilier très vieux, et bruillant.

Notre chambre rénovée avec vue sur la Seine.

Nous avions réservé 2 chambres avec vue sur Seine, une seule l'était. L'autre donnait sur la cour et n'était pas belle (ancienne, porte accordéon pour la salle de bain) Il parait que nous devons faire notre réclamation à booking.com à propos de la chambre qui ne donnait pas sur le fleuve, alors que sur la réservation, il était bien spécifié "ces chambres offrent une vue sur la Seine" personnel peu aimable. Dommage car Caudebec est très intéressant.

Du fait de son ancienneté l'isolation extérieure est déplorable.Bruits de circulation permanent. L'isolation intérieure est également à revoir.

La taille des chambres spacieuses

Il est urgent de procéder à un petit rafraîchissement des peintures et papiers peints. La literie n'était pas assez ferme. Mais cela pouvait aller.

hôtel qui ne paye pas de mine de l'extérieur, mais très bien à l'intérieur. J'ai été étonné que ce soit un hôtel 2, qui pourrait pratiquement prétendre à 3 étoiles. Le cuisinier s'éclate dans ce qu'il fait! j'ai été très étonné par la qualité !!! à recommander!

L'accueil assez moyen

Les place de parking juste en bas de l hôtel gratuits ne sont pas négligeable car leur parking payant est je trouve cher pour ce que c'est. La situation géographique permet de faire les restaurant au alentour. Il n y en a pas beaucoup mais celui juste à côté est pas mal du tout. C'est une pizzeria restaurants. Pour ce qu'ils veulent une bonne pizza je le conseille. Après par exemple en autres plats il y a du requin ou du saumon et toutes sortes de plats

Chambre à l ancienne avec sa salle de bain. Moquette au sol mais très propre quand même. Une petite remarque pour le chauffage. Ceux d origine ne suffise pas donc on a eu dans la chambre un radiateur électrique pour aider à chauffer. Pour 3 nuits passées là bas on a un une nuit où on a pas eu besoin de mettre les chauffage car je pense que l'on était chauffé par les autres chambres. Un peu désagréable car trop chaud.
