Novotel Nice Centre Acropolis  

Easy access to the old city with tram which is 2 min away from the hotel.

Old fashion and not the standard of a 4 star hotel. Bed not particularly comfortable. The whole hotel needs a bit of modernisation.

We stayed there for a week for figure skating world championships, and in that regard the location was excellent: the arena and the practice rink were within 50m from the hotel, which saved us a lot of time. Also, I'm a smoker, and they have rooms for smokers.

The breakfast can be better. There wasn't that much variety.

Friendly staff, clean, air-conditioned, well-appointed rooms, with comfortable beds. Delicious healthy fruity breakfasts, available inside and outside. A small but essential rooftop swimming pool, to cool off in and laze around on hot afternoons. The hotel is convenient for shopping, the seafront, and the fast local transport.

Evening meals are not good value for money, as they are expensive, with small portions. However, there are hundreds of restaurants in Nice to suit all tastes and pockets.

Good clean rooms. Pleasant staff - very helpful when we needed some medical advice. A bit of walk from main area but very near tram stop,

Our room wasn't luxurious but well appointed and serviced to the standards we expect. The hotel's best feature was its location: not in a fashionable area but very close to the excellent, fairly new tram line that took us into the city within a few minutes – and to other locations. There is also a bus station very near the hotel, serving some of the locations we wanted to visit out of the city. It probably follows from the above that the hotel is especially suitable for those not driving themselves. We liked it so much we stayed a second week.

Swimming Pool Area Small and in need of updating & Refurbishment.

Disabled/wheelchair user faciliities

The hotel swimming pool was inaccessisble to wheelchair users. I chose this hotel especially because it had a pool. That problem was not clear in the hotel description and was a real disappointment. The staff were apologetic, the reception manager in particular, offering to change us to another location. However, then we would not be in the destination we had planned for. The swimming pool issue was truly disappointing, when it was the main reason, apart from the accessible room, for choosing the hotel.

Location. For access from the airport - get the 98 to Gare Routiere or 99 to Gare sncf and then take the tram direction Pont Michel alighting at the stop after Acropolis. The 4 euro ticket for the bus can be used on the tram and on local buses for a day.

Super location, right by Tram line, with easy bus ride in from the airport. Room cleaned every day of our 4 day trip, to high standard. Free Internet access in lobby bonus for our teenagers.

Agréable et pratique. Pas trop onéreux.

Ménage non fait sous la télé. Pas de sur-matelas. Petit déjeûner: accueil inexistant, un grand nombre de mets non renouvelés, les oeufs étaient froids.

Le prix excessif du parking. 20 euros pour une chambre avec pdj a 105 euros. 1/5 du prix de la chambre. A ce prix la, j'aurais aimer la retouver laver. (ma voiture)
