Novotel Nice Centre Acropolis    

La disponibilità alla reception,la comodità della stanza,la possibilità avuta di parcheggiare (gratis!) l'auto davanti all'albergo.

Anche se era bello avere la doccia e il bagno divisi dal W.C.,per noi italiani rimane comunque inconcepibile non avere il bidet accanto al cesso!!

La posizione abbastanza centrale. Come parcheggio abbiamo usato il parking del centro espositivo che si trova di fronte all'Hotel (circa 23 Euro al giorno)

Le camere sono piuttosto vecchie. Andrebbero rinnovate e cambiata in particolare la moquette

No residents bar. Taking €100 per person as surety instead of just card number. It is very confusing.

The hotel looks dated and shabby, there are nicer hotels in Nice for half the price, the pool area is also disappointing

Located close to the city centre and nearby the tramway. The room was nice and clean. The prices for drinks and food are correct.

Apparently there is a new Novotel policy to pre charge 50EUR when arriving at the hotel? Breakfast until 9:30!! Our first morning at 9:30 they closed the buffet with such a noise that it was clear signal to leave the room. The second morning the staff walked around and explained friendly that the buffet closes so if we needed something we should take it now. This was a more customer friendly way.

Not much. It's outdated, overdue for renovation but still charging a premium ....

Parking .... Terrible. Parking garage close by but difficult to get into, especially with a bigger vehicle <2.5m high. After driving around for 20 minutes with no success had to enlist hotel manager's help ......

The reception staff so friendly and good humoured. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts great value if booked ahead.

The hotel is about one block from a tram stop which makes for a very convenient way to get around much of Nice.

The neighborhood immediately surrounding the hotel is rather unattractive and the hotel, itself, looks like it was designed for a post-World War II Eastern bloc country. Also, the reception desk was understaffed and some of the clerks, while pleasant, were not as informed as one might have hoped.

Location fantastic - we walked everywhere although for those who can't there is a tram just on the doorstep and a bus and train (Nice - Riquier) not far away. Rooms amazingly clean, every day a turn down of the sheets and fresh towels. Reception staff multi lingual although not very knowledgeable about local area particularly when we asked about return bus to the airport. They could not tell us where it stopped or how frequent it was despite having a timetable in front of them. Fortunately I have good eyes and chose to ignore the advice as she was looking at the wrong sheet anyway! Sussed it out for myself on another walk. Yes were friendly but did not have sufficient local knowledge.

Swimming pool area poor. Guests reserving sun loungers for friends who didnt arrive for ages so we could have used them. Not really worthwhile. Better off going to the beach if you can stand the pebbles. Breakfast was very poor - we went from Thurs to Mon and it almost seemed like they ordered the food on Fri to last the weekend - dined like a king on Friday morning and had nothing on Monday!! No fruit salad, no consistency to hot food - I didnt have any but my husband was bemused by the eggs - raw - scrambled - bacon ... ish - and sausage. There was so much traffic around the hot food it was easy to become a fitness freek like me! The hot drinks were poor - self serve but they completely ran out of tea bags by the Monday morning. This was unacceptable. The staff seemed under pressure all the time. Panicking even. Not enough seating for the size of the hotel. Milk sachets in the room were awful. Didnt get tea bags replaced daily either. I like 4 cups of tea befor I venture out - not possible in this room!

The hotel is more situated away from the old town but has immediate connection to the city centre, anyway a 15 to 30 min walk brings you to the port, the Chagall & Matisse musea & the old and new centres. In stead of entering crowded restaurants in the old town many good and even more cheap and friendly restaurants could be visted.Nice is a wonderful town with a high content of atmosphere.

Parking at the Cote d'Azure isn't evident & very expensive, even here the Hotel has not in-house parking facilities, the triple barrier code protected parking is situated across a very busy avenue.. The hotel charges 25€/day or 25% of the min.room rate. Be also aware the hotel area is situated in one way traffic avenues & highway approach, it can take a lot of time to reach the hotel access ramp (take the Avenue Maréchal Lyautey!!!). The parking exit is not at the same side of the building!

The location is somewhat out of town but very close to the excellent tram service which takes you to the station and the shops in a few minutes. The hotel itself seems well run and comfortable and the rooms are a good size. Having a pool in somewhere like Nice is wonderful particularly as you are some way from the beach.

The area around the hotel is not particularly inspiring but a five minute walk takes you to the Place Garibaldi with some lovely cafes, bars and restaurants. It's a little impersonal and the bar and breakfast prices are high.

The bar staff and evening staff were friendly, and the evening meals were well priced and good quality. Parking outside the hotel was free, providing we found a space!

Morning staff unfriendly and arrogant, Brakfast buffet was disgusting and a waste of money. Cleaners came into our room when specifically told not to, even with a do not disturb sign on the door!

liked that the hotel is clean and the staff being very helpful and friendly. well laid out rooms and availability of smoking as well as non-smoking rooms.

I wouldnt rate it a 4 star. The breakfast facilities / order need to be assessed as it got extremely crowded when getting food. I suggest two breakfast bars/areas for getting food to ease congestion. Also the outside area of the restaurant never seemed to be clean. Rubbish collected in the corners of the terrace and old spilled drinks still on the floor that meant it was sticky and attraced flies and other insects. I think Novotel could do more in these areas that i mention.
