“The staff was cordial, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The room was very spacious, modern, clean, and had a nice view. The bathroom was well stocked with ample towels and the extra pillows and bedding was already in the closets, always a plus to not have to request them.”

The location is very convenient - next to Les Halles transport junction, from which you can quickly get anywhere by Metro or train. The property is more worn-out than shown in pictures. Staff appears to be under stress and not particularly happy to work in this hotel. However all our needs and wishes were dealt with quickly and accurately.

Good quality rooms - punctual service at reception High speed internet is too expensive - 3 times the price of other hotels we stayed at. When you are paying 285 euro per night it should be included. It would have been good for some advice on good local restuarants etc. We were given a smoking room when we clearly stated non-smoking. We were given the correct room straight away after seeing reception so well done for fixing the error promptly.

Location, location, location.... Just a short walk to the Louvre, hop on hop off tours, large choice of cafes, brassiers for reasonable priced meals. Pillows and beds were very comfortable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel Would have made it easier to access cash if an atm was in the hotel reception area.

Its location in the City within walking distance to many great attractions such as the Louvre, Notre Dame, etc 1. The hallway on our floor had a horrible odour when we first arrived. It mysteriously disappeared later that day and was fine after that. 2. The free wireless internet in the room was very slow. A faster option was offered for a price and made one feel "teased" about having this no cost but unsatisfactory option.

Perfect location for trip with friends. Lovely, spacious room for 3 people. We loved the breakfast. Shops just outside the door. A few minutes away from the Pompidou center, 10 minutes from Louvre and approximately 15 minutes away from Notre Dame. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a great stay, and and we will return with our children next time in Paris.

Location. It was close to metro and RER lines, making traveling to the airports and city attractions easy. Breakfast was versatile and the restaurant along with the lobby was quite comfortable. Free bathrobes and slippers were welcome. Especially the slippers were handy after a shower on the wet bathroom floor :) We had a free minibar (softdrinks only) which we liked, as we didn't have to carry drinks to our room from the town. The safe in our room opened by itself one morning :O Even after discussing it with the personnel, it was left as a mystery how that happend. Breakfast had it's problems as well. Soya yoghurt ran out after the first morning, one of the tomatoes tasted like rotten, the tee water boiler wasn't on one morning, as well as the toaster wasn't plugged in. The toilet seat was located in it's own little closet separate from the bathroom were you wash your hands afterwards. The rooms in general could use a little renovation or modernization. They look like they are from the 90's.

The location was great - we walked from the Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe down the Champs Elysees the first afternoon. Two Metro stations right out the door. Buffet breakfast included with room was good and had both hot and cold items and great coffee. The front desk helped making reservations for dinner for us and had good recommendations as well. The mattresses on the beds were a bit too firm for our taste and the pull out bed was not quite level.

The location is very convenient. A metro station quite in front of the hotel entrance is always fine and if it is a central station like Chatelet it is even better. The reception and bar area is quite stylish. The breakfast buffet is excellent and was clearly above expectations ! The staff is very polite and helpful and speaks fluently english. No complaints whatsoever. A good choice in relation to the price. But: the room was quite small ! a room without a clothes cupboard is a bit odd and uncomfortable I would say. The bathroom however was clean and big enough.

Ease of access to various sights and metro line. Many shops and cafe's in the area and good selections of restraunts. The staff were very helpful and assisted with any questions we had regarding the area and mean of venue access. The reason for the fair rating in comfort is becuase the air conditioning did not appear to work. We were informed that as with a hotel in London the air conditioning thermostats were still set to winter and therefor only blew warm air. The fact that they only blew warm air is correct even with the control set to 5C, we were infomed to leave the controls off as in London and open a window. A hotel of that rating and costing that price I belive should be able to provide better control for it clients, how hard can it be to have an electrician reset the main thermostat? just do it earlier.

Its location, and modern design. The rooms were smallish but adequate and modern. Major construction in the plaza outside of the hotel relating to the large scale redevelopment of Les Halles. Noisy street from bar patrons from 1-3am on Saturday night, which the hotel did nothing about, apparently. Someone eventually called the police to break up the noise. Hotel had the heating on in late March when it was 20c outside, so rooms were very hot, requiring open windows in evening. Concierge was helpful, but in typical Parisian fashion, would answer the phone while you waited for attention, and chat for minutes, giving the impression being in person was less urgent than calling on the phone. Annoying.

The Novotel Paris les Halles is situated in an excellent position, two stops from the airport and with a metro station right in front, with many major attractions nearby and lots of shops and restaurants as well. The rooms are big and comfortable.Staff is very friendly. I would say that for paris standards the price/quality ratio is very good. If I were to visit paris again that is the hotel I would like to go back to and I would highly recommend it.

I was disappointed that a big hotel chain was charging 12 euros for wifi access for 24 hours which was clearly excessive. I have stayed in a number of four star hotels which offer this service for free and it would make me think twice about booking into a Novotel again.

Check-in staff were friendly, efficient and kind. We request to change rooms as they were too noisy because of the renovations, they acceded to our request swiftly. Wireless IT connection could be good if available in the rooms for free like in other hotels we stayed in, in England.

“Location mainly, as it was just a short walk from the train station. We were completing our 2-week vacation in France with a 1-night stay at the Novotel, having disembarked at Gare de Lyon from Grenoble. It was easy to walk over to the Botanic Gardens although the weather had turned cold & grey by that time. If it had been nicer weather, we would probably have walked all the way to the Notre Dame.” Kong-chong, Singapore |
