Beds are comfortable Decent Shower/bathroom
Food in restaurant is terrible Walls are thin, can hear much of what your neighbors are doing (yikes!) Staff is largely indifferent (but, they are French) Restaurant not open for lunch, especially on Sunday's when almost nothing else in the area is open
We were two couples staying for a 4 night stay to visit the D-Day landing sites. The hotel is well situated for this (we had our own car) easy to find and easy in and out each day. Each evening we walked in to Bayeux for dinner. Breakfast was really good, staff very helpful. Beds really comfy, foam mattress firm but not too hard. Rooms really clean. Overall a really good experience. There is a fridge in the room and a Carrefour nearby... Great for all that local cider!
The Wi-Fi wasn't so great... Intermittent connectivity, not a great problem, but if you wanted to work, it may be.
Clean comfortable affordable. Good Wi-Fi close to Bayeux township and local restaurants.
Location in good size town. Close to attractions in area. Quiet. Helpful staff
Everything was good
Driving past the Exit sign on departure. In future i will avoid French "chain" hotels like the plague.
Frigid welcome from surly Reception Clerk. When finally asked "Is this your first visit to a Novotel"? was prompted to answer "yes but likely to be my last"... Non existent bedside lights & sepulchral restaurant area did not improve my mood.
the cost of the breakfasts, they are not as good as they use to be.
Good parking area. Restaurant prices were good value. Good breakfast choices. Separate toilet
Air conditioning not cool enough - we had to keep opening a window to get some cool air.
What a beautiful city.
Having to leave.
Electrical failures in bathroom. reported on my arrival .After 3 days still no action.Fan loudspeaker heater all non functioning,I ask myself how about smoke n fire alarms.
Helpful staff, large room, very comfortable. Both Dinner and Breakfast worth the money. We would have been able to walk to the Tapestry, CWG Cemetery and the D Day Museum. Although go early to visit the Tapestry.
Can,t think of anything.
Right into the car park from the motorway
The town was very expensive
Pressure in shower wasn't good, took a while to work out how to turn it on.
Good place to stop if coming from or returning too the UK Also excellent base for visiting the 2nd World War Invasion Beaches
Breakfast brilliant although at extra cost. Beds very comfortable. Modern minimalist design Location great for exploring Normandy and only a short 20 minute walk from the centre of Bayeux. Staff very helpful, pleasant and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
Very comfortable clean hotel with free car parking. Really good location, easy 15 to 20 min walk to centre. Will stay again.
Staff Breakfast Parking facilities
Most helpful and informative reception staff ever! Good location 10 mins walk maximum into Bayeux. Handy for motorway to Caen (25 mins)
Kept losing wifi so had to keep re entering codes into iPhone.....small point really.
affordable 4 *
bedding was clean. One day the room was not serviced.
single beds very narrow, very hard and uncomfortable mattresses
Good breakfast and staff.
No pillows on arrival, unable to plug the sink. 3 tea bags all different and minuscule milk. How much does a decent cup of tea cost? Simple thing which could be done better.
Was easy walking distance to a very picturesque town. Very friendly staff enjoyable stay
No minus points
The staff were fantastic, both at the front desk and in the restaurant. Most spoke excellent English, which helped when I couldn't get the right French words out. The beds were firm, but very comfortable, the rooms quiet and clean. The location was great for both the town centre and for the roads to other local attractions.
The restaurant was on the pricey side, but the food was very good.
Location - an easy walk into Bayeux for the tourist bits and also the Normandy war museum was not too far. A nice breakfast was available with plenty of choice, enough even to satisfy a particularly picky son.
a bit dated and no secure car parking, though could have put the bicycles in the garage. Would have been nice to have adjacent rooms, though my kids are older and managed ok being a floor apart.
The hotel is very well situated to visit the Normandy Beaches. We ate in the restaurant each night and although the choice was a little limited the food was very good. Breakfast was good too.
As in all hotel drinks were expensive.
Rooms were comfortable and facilities okay , handy for a walk through the town and visit to the Tapestry museum,
unfortunately for us there were two or three coach parties and therefore it was noisy and chaotic to enjoy relaxation time in the hotel.
