Novotel Bayeux

Very contemporary and well apointed...better than our expectations and larger and more accommodating than the older area hotels. One of few hotels that could accomodate 3 adults in one room. Excellent access to walking in the charming town and accessible to the tours of Normandy Beach, etc.

Breakfast was very expensive and not a good value at all. Limited food and average at best.

Quiet atmosphere, handy for Bayeux Centre and the Wartime sites. Good breakfast Near to major ferry routes

Our room was comfortable and clean. The lobby area with bar were very pretty.

The included breakfast was not good. Eggs were cold. I thought that there were laundry facilities within the hotel were patrons could do their own washing but such was not the case. It would be wonderful if this and other hotels in Europe could offer this service so that laundry would not have to be sent out.

A cheap and cheerful option. Nothing terrible, nothing amazing. The walk into town is about 15 minutes but it's a straight route down a relatively quiet street and perfectly pleasent if the weather is nice.

One thing to be aware of - there isn't a bar as such, just a little spot in the lobby and not somewhere you would really want to sit - however ask them to show you the outside space by the restaurant and take your drink there for an improved option.

The bed was great after several days on a pull-out sofa bed in Paris.It was quiet,clean, and affordable.

we had dinner in the hotel one night the food was very poor , if we stayed in the hotel again we would eat some where else.

The staff were very helpful, the bedroom was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Modern hotel close to downtown area, walking distance to supermarket, plenty of free parking on sight. Good selection of breakfast items.

The direction to the pool access is unclear.

Room was modern and well equipped but the carpet needed replacing.

Restaurant staff have to double up as bar staff during meal times, this means the bar is largely ignored, leading to long waits for service for a 'pre dinner' drink. Staff also appeared rude to guests from a certain part of the world, not my experience, just an observation

Fair price and good location. The cleaning staff were very efficient.

The staff at the reception could be more pro-active and friendly in providing their service to the customers. Pool could be heated.

This hotel was situated ideally to view the wwii d Day landing sites as well as exploore the charming town of Bayeux.

We did not like the long life milk for tea:coffee in our room.
