A pretty unspoilt town which does not feel like a tourist trap. Lots of local restaurants used by local people. Very good value for money. We loved Le Bec Fin, La Parenthese at the Hostellerie Provencale, Ma Cantine, Terroirs and Trattoria Bettina et Bettino. Great variety of shops selling unusual things. Fantastic art galleries. Excellent car park so close to the centre of town. Fabulous Saturday market. A town in which you can stroll morning, afternoon and nighttime and always see something different. Super park if you travel with a dog!

Uzes is really beautiful… a fabulous food market and many great places to eat and drink. Very beautiful old historic village to stroll around and take in the history. Pont du Garde nearby and lots of little villages to explore if you have a car.

It’s a beautiful old historic town with lots of nice restaurants and shops. The nature around it is gorgeous, there are also lovely villages nearby, not to mention Pont du Gard which is a win for when you travel with dogs.
We had a long lunch at Chez des Amis, parking is easy in Uzes. We stayed at Mas des Lilas, there is an old walking path from Mas des Lilas into Uzes.
What is horrendous are the mosquitoes, they are an aggressive bunch. But that is not just Uzes that’s the whole of southern Europe. We went to Italy on this trip as well and it was the same.

Uzes is a family favourite since we were introduced to it about 10 years ago. It is a gem of a city. Excellent food. Friendly locals. Great wine. Lots to see and do both in the town and in nearby villages.
In terms of eating/drinking the areas around the town square - Place aux Herbes -are pretty average.
Avoid all of it, with the exception of Terroirs which has very nice food, their wine by the glass is not so great but if you order a bottle you'll be fine.
Generally the best dining is on the ring road - specifically Rue Gambetta and blvd Charles Gide.
This year we discovered two outstanding places.
Usage, 6 Boulevard Gambetta, Open every day but Sunday. Wonderful fine french dining, reasonably priced
also for fantastic wine try
Copains Comme Cochon, 5, boulevard Charles Gide, open daily - fantastic sharing platters and the best tomato salad I've ever eaten.
Also Comptoir du 7, 7 blvd Charles Gide, considered to be the best restaurant in Uzes. Its pricey but nice. We didn't go this time.

Very pretty medieval town that had many small streets, cathedral and small shops to explore. Lovely square full of restaurants in the centre of the town, with the restaurants either under the arches of palisaded stone buildings or canopies, all around trees that were covered in twinkly lights at night. Great range of menus at reasonable prices.
Usez is only 10 mins drive from the Pont du Gard which is well-worth a visit. Parking there is 9€ Flat rate for your stay but we’ll-worth the cost: take your swim wear, towels and lunch to enjoy a swim in the the refreshing river after exploring the Roman aqueduct & museum.
Many local wineries nearby selling very good wine at reasonable prices, with tasting possible.
Easy access from Usez to other small medieval towns nearby.
Great location for exploring the area. We’d only booked 1 night at our accommodation but wished we could stay longer.

We know Uzes well, we have family living close by and we love this city. The best market for local produce. Lovley stone buildings and interesting small streets. A place with plenty of history. The Pont de Gard is close by and well worth a visit.
The location was perfect...it was so central to our needs.
The room was lovely, and the views were exceptional.
The hotel was quiet...we never heard a thing from any other rooms. The staff were so helpful and so incredibly friendly....their English was way better than our French...which we appreciated. We loved that the whole experience and visit was so originaly french ..would most definitely visit again.
This is a very old (16th century) French home with a large courtyard. If you like modern hotels this is not your place. If however you like history and character in your accommodations this this just might be for you. The hostess was excellent, but she only speaks French, so use a translator or learn a bit of French. It is very quiet and just a bit off a main road with plenty of parking in the back.
location, amenities - we had the 2 level annex apt with kitchenette and bed and bath on 2nd level. Dining on main level in the hotel and also on rooftop ( elevator accessible )and our meals were fantastic with good wine. . There is a bakery right across the road and you could smell the goods being baked early in the morn.
We stayed for five nights and absolutely loved it. Perfect location in the centre of Uzès. Quiet bedroom at the back of the apartment. Beautiful comfy bed with high quality linen and towels. Gorgeous period spiral staircase.
Safe public parking close by. Excellent restaurants and wonderful Saturday market.
The location of this apartment was fantastic right off the Place aux Herbes but wonderfully quiet and it was impeccably clean. any france was extremely responsive by text and Barbara Concièrge was delightful and very punctual. This apartment has everything you need and we highly recommend.
This property was superb. It was spotless and had everything you could possibly want. We had breakfast each morning which was very generous and good. Highly recommend this property when visiting the beautiful town of Uzes even though it is just out of the town.
The apartment is well located, right in the heart of Uzès which is a charming little town. The apartment is well furnished, including tea, coffee, and other light drinks. The check-in is flexible (there is a coded-box at the entrance for the keys).
Great place, very welcoming host, fantastic pool, big enclosed garden. We had a scenic walk from the location with the dogs into Uzes which is a beautiful place with great restaurants and shopping. Location also not far from Pont du Gard.
This was my second visit to this wonderful little hotel in the heart of Uzes. Francois and Eric are superb hosts. My room was beautiful, breakfast great and I look forward to my next visit……
We loved everything about Bon Jour Uzes...wish our stay had been longer! The apartment is beautiful, in a perfect location, and the owners were lovely! We will definitely be back!
This was a comfortable hotel at the edge of Uzes. Very nice 2 km walk into town along a quiet road. Good meal in restaurant in auberge and a very good breakfast in the morning.
The hotel is clean, bright, simple and great for a short stay. It is a drive away from town, rather than being in the centre. There are several seating areas to choose from
This charming flat in the center of medieval Uzès is a wonderful place to enjoy and explore the beautiful town of Uzès, and perfect for a couple. We will be back again!
Clean comfortable and perfect location in Uzes which is a very cool town. Easy walk to sights, restaurants, bars, coffee, boulangeries-pâtisseries and etc.
