There wasn't a whole lot to not like, so I have to pad this to make
the 200-character minimum.
Minor (repeat, *minor*) concerns:
-- the stairway to the rooms is spiral, and narrow, so if you have large luggage, you may have some difficulty lugging it up and down.
-- the stall in the shared lavatory is likewise quite small, though this seems to be a cultural/European thing, and should not be viewed as a specific shortcoming of this establishment
-- WiFi, while free, was much stronger in the café (downstairs) area itself, and was spotty at best in the room, at least during my stay.
Terrific location -- near the Père-Lachaise and Voltaire Metro stops
(serving 3 different lines), and downtown. Also, for you hipsters, about
500 feet from the entrance to the cemetery where Jim Morrison is buried.
The owner (in particular) and staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful. When I needed help to figure the best way to the airport (CDG) when departing, the owner took the time to write down directions and which Metro lines were the best/fastest way.
The room was actually larger than I was expecting, and I was able to get a restful sleep.
The cafe/bistro was likewise pleasant and enjoyable -- a great place to while away an afternoon with coffee and a book.
If you're looking for an eminently affordable place to stay, in a good location, with terrific access to a wide variety of entertainment options, I heartily recommend the Obododo.
