Peter was a marvelous host and his breakfast was the best we had in our 3 weeks traveling around France. Good restaurants in the area.
A beautifully renovated old house, very peaceful and friendly and had everything we needed. Easy to find by bike and the hosts were very helpful with our bicycles. A lovely breakfast.
Lovely spacious room connecting room for the children was lovely too. The fridge outside the room was well stocked with wine, beer and juice and was free of charge.
A charming house situated on the banks of a river. The facilities were excellent, beautifully furnished and very comfortable and clean with good Wi-Fi and lots of hot water! If you like staying in period houses this is one not to be missed! We really enjoyed our visit and can't wait to return!
We liked everything about the Old Salt House however do think it worth mentioning that there is no lift available for those who find climbing stairs difficult.
The rooms are absolutely marvelous, with a great river view. We enjoyed it so much we even decided to skip sightseeing for the afternoon and stay in for a while. Complementary whine and water and very friendly and professional staff left nothing to be desired. Compliments and we will certainly return!
We had such a relaxing stay. The room was beautiful, breakfast plentiful and tasty, location so pretty, and even the wifi connection was excellent. Additionally, the staff were welcoming and helpful.
No comment here. The stay was excellent.
Fantastic: location, decor, staff, service, comfort, toiletries, television options, ambience
Spacious comfortable room I was able to watch the final of Wimbledon on the downstairs TV which was a real bonus Excellent breakfast
wifi did not work in room
Our room was very comfortable and the shower was great. Peter and Claire were wonderful hosts. We appreciated the wine glasses and corkscrew in the room. Breakfast was ample and very good. Parking was easy and the view from our window was lovely. The boulangerie next door was great, and it was just a few minutes drive to Chateaulin for restaurants. I highly recommend exploring the Crozon peninsula- drive to the various points, park, and hike the trails along the coast- stunning views.
Beautiful location, great after the madness of Le Mans 24hr race and crowds of St Malo
The friendly welcome, beautifully furnished room, high standards of cleanliness and tasty breakfast eaten together with other guests. Calm and truly tranquil.
Lovely location next to the canal. Help yourself to drinks from the fridge on each floor. Very tasteful decor on a restored building. Hosts very helpful.
No where to eat in Port Launay so had to plan carefully - eat main meal at lunch then pick up picnic supplies to eat by the canal in the evening. WiFi was only available in the kitchen due to a supply issue that was rectified on departure day.
Very well situated and many towns were in easy reach. The manager was extremely helpful and clearly well organised. The bed was extremely comfortable, breakfast was excellent and it was a considerable bonus having a fridge with free drinks. The bathroom had all the extras expected in a high end B&B. Parking space was easily available on the street outside. We loved the view over the river and the moored yachts, and at night it was wonderfully quiet.
The decor of the bedroom seemed most inappropriate for the age of the building and the effect was to make the room seem gloomy. The brown leather sofa made things worse. The bedroom needs to be brightened up.The bathroom needed more effective curtains, especially at night.
Beautiful period features, helpful and welcoming staff and stunning location. Highly recommend :-)
Location, comfort of room overlooking the river. general friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Good breakfast
Lack of advice on local amenities, for example suggestions of where to eat in the evening
Brilliant accommodation and delightful hosts who have us plenty of information as to what to see and where to go. Perfect position.
Nothing - all great
Nicely decorated room which was very well equipped. Complimentary drinks was a nice bonus as we brought food back to eat. Very nice breakfast.
Very helpful staff. Safe place to store bikes. Free drinks (beer, wine, juices, water) from the fridge. Magnificent old building thoughtfully renovated.
No restaurants nearby.
Location/hospitality. Complimentary drinks
The modern pine chest of drawers did not fit with the rest of furniture in room. The Union flag flying outside our window was upside down!!!!!
Excellent staff, beautiful room, plentiful included breakfast, free drink fridge
You have to drive or walk 30 minutes to get to restaurants. The location is beautiful, but really a bit too quiet. I am not kidding that they turn the street lights off at 23.00.
Surprisingly roomy inside with friendly staff and an excellent continental breakfast. A lovely setting by the river with parking directly outside.
Watch the stairs carrying your luggage. The house being so old the steps are all uneven!
very clean - house with charm and good taste - friendly reception - very quiet
