Top hotel,very helpful staff ,nice to stay somewhere a bit more unusual.the apartments are very good if you need to accomadate a large group

Clean rooms, excellent shower. Ideally you need your own transport, but there is a bus stop right outside the hotel and trains nearby. The apartment was big enough for us with 2 kids.

Location is not brilliant, but who goes on holiday to stay in their hotel?

We chose the olivarius because of its proximity to the motorway for an overnight stay on route to a holiday. Room was larger than i expected. Very secure parking onsite. Seems like a business hotel but great for families as well as quite spacious. Included breakfast (continental + eggs cooked to your requirements). Would reccomend.

We liked the service, able to check in early as room available and hotel quiet, the breakfast (continental with hot pancakes/omlette on request) size of room (2 bedroom apartment), amenities, powerful shower, very comfortable (firm) beds, car parking (free) and 10 minute walk to 4 Cantons metro station (approx 20 mins to City). Ideal for travelling to Lille by car but not having to negotiate the city.

I first thought that I should give as poor grade to the hotel as possible. To keep other travellers away. Then I realised that Lille visit was once-in-the-lifetime, so I can be honest as well: Simply put: Best value for money in years.

Window blinds that didnt effectively block out light from hallway

Bordering on excellent. Highly contemporary. Virtually every wall is concrete, but painted/coated in a way to produce a modern feel. Very good breakfast, with good choices and pleasant staff (on the 2 days we were there). Breakfast always included in room price. Large windows give an airy feel to the room. Separate WCs. Correctly functioning extractor fans in bathroom and WC. Comfortable beds. Pleasing furnishings that match the contemporary theme. Overall this was nearly excellent, only let down by factors below.

Breakfast experience can be tarnished somewhat by too many guests arriving at once, causing crowding at the serving point. Juices run out, but new ones placed in the fridge are at room temperature to start. Dish washers removed from rooms under a replacement programme meant we were without a dishwasher for our two days. We should have been informed of this at the time of booking. Lighting in rooms inadequate. Main lounge area too dim to read, and two wall lights were filthy from build up of dust. Some crocery dirty on arrival (yuk... cleaners should be more vigilant), and missing items appear not to be replaced. Bar noise from ground floor penetrates many room lounges, and is unacceptable when it goes on past 10pm and into the early hours. Bad hotel policy on this. You hear it in the lounge, but probably not in the bedrooms (unless you stay in a studio) because of a double door. This was probably the worst aspect of our stay, and staff seem unable to do anything about it. Location of this hotel is a bit remote, and you probably need a car. This is not a problem for everyone. If it were not for these points, our stay would be classed as excellent. But taking everything into account, we rate this hotel highly.

As a family we really enjoyed our time there, the breakfast was good, the kids loved the football table and the pool tables.
