Location and service in restaurant was very good

When we arrived we did not get the type of room we had booked and the staff in the reception argued that our booking was incorrect even though we had printed the confirmation. As hotel was full there was no choice and we were not offered any compensation as it was not "there fault". Also the room was dusty, the soap and shampoo bottles were empty. Small things but not good enough for a 4-star hotel.

Very nice hotel with everything you might want right there but not too many options in the immediate area. Service was good to excellent and we ate one night in the restaurant -- outstanding food and service. It was too cold when we were there for there to be too many golfers (which I'm sure the hotel caters to primarily) but that may have actually added to our enjoyment of the facilities. Good spa on site and while out of the way as far as getting to/from it was peaceful being on a golf course facility.

Breakfast was good and plentiful but the staff was not overly friendly -- perhaps it was the language difference? Also, the small fishing village was pretty much still closed up for the off season so there wasn't much in the was of places to eat or shopping. However, we were out all day visiting the D-Day sites so we just made sure to take care of those needs prior to returning for the evening.

Very close proximity to Bayeux and the Normandy Beach landings area/museums. Breakfast was good, although I had to ask for hot water for tea several times. We ended up stuck there during the March freak snowstorm and were in the hotel for several days. The staff tried hard to accomodate the guests for food.

We were there under unique circumstances with the snowstorm that stranded travellers for several days. Would have been good if staff had tried to keep the front entrance clear of snow and the path to the restaurant as well. No one even tried.

Nice hotel, only stayed one night. Great location to visit the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach, Normandy, France.

Close to sites

Very good location to the D-Day beaches. Nice hotel. Good food. Excellent staff.

Very friendly and helpfull staff, good restaurant, spacious and well designed room and bathroom.

Very noisy (thin walls/floors). Advertised as 4-star hotel, but is only 3 stars (as stated on hotel's own sign!) Room was sort of clean, but not spotless. Overall: overpriced given value offered.

It is comfortable and welcoming with quiet rooms and good views. On this occasion the hotel was chosen because it is within easy distance of the ferries running from Cherbourg. We simply stayed the one night following a long drive up from the Bergerac region. It also has a very good restaurant. In the past we have made the hotel our base during our visits to Normandy.

Nice hotel, actually around ten km from the actual Omaha beach but a great place from which to tour.

The staff were nice, breakfast was good, the country side was lovely and the restaurant on site was also very good.

The bathroom was gross. It smelled of mildew and there was pink bacteria on the cauking between the jacuzzi tube and the wall.

Location - Close to d Day landing beaches. Size of rooms.

Very poor hygiene practises. Our first room had a peculiar odour - perhaps covering up cigarette smell and the toilet was not clean. When this was reported to management, they were sceptical and tried to make the excuse that the hotel was old. This was not the problem - obviously the cleaners were not too familiar with the use of a toilet brush. The toilet was cleaned for us, but we moved rooms due to the smell. The others we were travelling also had problems with a dirty toilet (faecal matter on back of toilet seat). Someone was again sent to clean it, but despite spending 10 minutes cleaning they missed the actual problem! AIr conditioner did not work. We cancelled our second night here, but staff did not seem concerned.

Nice hotel, but irritating that breakfast was not included in roomprice. Nice surroundings en perfect for visiting the D-day sites.

14 euro's for the breakfast is too much. Especially when you see what's on offer.

Superb facilities and rooms. The rooms have air conditioning. Staff speaks English well.

L'amabilité du personnel. Le parking, la proximité des sites du débarquement. Je recommande cet hôtel .
