Loved the relaxed atmosphere. Room was great; nice and light , and slept like a log. Air conditioning, and the wi fi were spot on. Shower and bathroom were tiny but not critical. Overall, and I've been going to Cannes for 25 years, this was great place to sleep and have a nice breakfast on the patio.
a 20 minute stroll downhill to the Croissette or promenade. Just remember you've got to come back up the hill if you're walking!
Clean but small room and very small bathroom. took bus to Cannes easily.
Amazingly friendly staff at a comfortable hotel. The free upgrade of room due to low season didn't go unnoticed either.
Parking inside the property was a plus, as we were travelling around France by car. Friendly staff, clean room and quiet environment. Would certainly stay there again.
Shower area was really small. Beware if you are a plus size.
Very nice and elegant property and grounds, secure parking, good location - a very short drive to all the attractions of Cannes, including the beach. Breakfast was typical "French-style" (coffee, croissants, baguette, jam, etc.) plus some cheese & ham - perfectly satisfactory. We were in the studio slightly below ground level - a bit dark, and not a whole lot of space (and not what you would expect given the exterior appearance of the house), but perfectly functional and with a semi-private sitting area outside.
Wifi worked only outside and in public areas, and then only with interruptions and difficulties. This may have been a specific problem of the studio we had.
Really nice and helpfull staff, and they speak English! :)
Very nice couple running the hotel.Very pleasant and polite.
Location not the best but not a massive issue.
Incredibly friendly welcome 15 min walk into town Convenient parking on the grounds
The owner was great and the walled in hotel was a haven
Builders outside on the road .... Minor detail!!
The staff was very helpful. The price was very reasonable for Cannes. The hotel was unique and must have been a grand home in its day..
The hotel is old and a little run down. The room was small. The location, while not awful, is a little ways from the tourist areas, but of course the price reflects that. The internet went out due to a thunderstorm the last afternoon we were there and was not restored prior to our leaving.
Internet works good . Secure location . Owner operator always there watching
Parking 9 euros . Location is dodgy nothing but warehouses around ... Rooms are super small . No room for bags or little chair
Studio was ideal, quiet and peaceful with facilities for self-catering. Room cleaned daily. Friendly welcome from owner and family... and dog!
Beautiful room Lovely house Private grounds
Its a bit of a walk to the restaurants etc, not so bad on way down but is slightly uphill on your way back so takes at least 20-25mins!
Nice family-run hotel with truly friendly staff Good breakfast
around 2-3 km from city center might be a extra expense if you do not like to walk (14 euros on a taxi). I personally found that slightly uphill walk after heavy dinner and wine very refreshing
My friend and I had a great week stay at Hotel Oxford, it’s a family run hotel and even the beautiful dog gets involved in welcoming you in….i will most definitely stay there again on my next trip! Thank you guys! Nicholas
room clean tyidy .
room small . parking can be problem ! entence to hotel on bizzy road not well sign posted . breckfast ok but not wot we exspected ! a good 40 mins walk to beach front road ! not 20 mins !
Great great couple owner. Really enjoyed it! We actually felt like home when we stayed in the mansion. Lots of chats and they provided a lot of help too. the kids and dog are so adorable. Definitely going back next time!
The internet can be improved.
Period style house and excellent breakfast
No tea and coffee in room,
The owner was a nice guy and helpfull
The descriptions are completely wrong, the room was extremely small with holes in the walls and no doors on cupboards...the area and road heading into Cannes is not nice at all.... There's a bad smell as you walk into hotel... The walls are paper thin.... I plugged in my charger and had the next door neighbour banging the walls. It's completely overpriced We booked 3 nights And moved out the next morning and didn't even have breakfast which I had already paid for
Charming house and rooms, 'personal', very nice environment.
Not very close to the center. There are buses. But be prepared for a nice 25 min. walk home if needed. :-).
The attention to detail and the amenities for the price range were extraordinary.
Wonderful hotel, absolutely nice staff there, I love this excellent homestyle hotel, like the owner and their dog! The location is wonderful, very close to the heart of the city.
I really liked the atmosphere of the hotel, the owner and his family are really nice, you feel as if you've never left your home, very comfotable and worth staying in this marvelous place
