The location of this apartment was excellent, in a quiet backstreet near the heart of the city. The apartment itself was beautiful, housed in a 16th century house, but with beautiful modern furniture, and the most comfortable bed.
Really loved the location, the beautiful historical building, the trendy décor and the warm welcome. It is also next to the food market (les Halles) which makes it really convenient for last minute French food shopping before heading home!
Alexander is a great person. His hospitality is amazing and was one of the best beds in the trip.
Great studio, wonderful setting. Alexandre is a great host. Highly recommended.
One really small point. Could do with a small light just above kitchen area but really not a big problem.
The modern designer interior with the character exterior. The privacy and quietness while being so close to everything. A fabulous host whose highest priority is the guests comfort. Felt very secure.
Not much to dislike. The bathroom looked fantastic, but on a practical level, if you prefer to take a shower, using the handheld shower hose in the bathtub was a bit awkward.
Location of the apartment is great!! It is very close to everything and yet far from any nuisance. It has quite a charm being an old Chateau. Alexandre was extremely helpful and thoughtful. Everything is included in this studio.
Just keep in mind that just like any old building in France, no elevator and long stairs, so could be a bit of a problem especially if you are not a light traveller.
The "Palais" is a very old mediterranean house with an impressive castle look - you may really feel like a king. Room has the size of an apartment - lots of space. Staff is very friendly. Furniture is odd: back to the seventies. Location: place de la comedie, including large parking garage just around the corner.
Coffee & thee were available but not in the mood to go for bread ourselves. If I would be the owner, I would offer as an option a french "breakfast". We had one around the corner at the place the la comedie which was very ok but would have liked to stay a little bit longer in our castle.
We loved the location, interior design was nice - a mix of old and modern, self- catering, availability of Wi-Fi, no deposit no pre-payment - trust is important part of the service. Alexander was a very helpful host.
Excellent alternative to a hotel. Great value for money as you can use the mini-kitchen. Close to all the major sites and shopping. Host was perfect and gave great tips on visiting the city with little time.
Excellent location, charming studio, extremely accommodating owner
Very central position, wonderful building full of character, lovely décor and very friendly and helpful owner.
Very comfortable, kids loved the stairs.
Fans too noisy for sleep at night, and the window didnt open. Not a problem for us, but three flights of stairs to walk up.
Location is fantastic. The owner, Alexandre, could not have been more helpful taking heavy bags up the stairs and meeting us when we were leaving and taking the bags all the way to the tram stop. (about a 3 minute walk.) I felt very safe in the apartment which is important being female and with my daughter. Also as we were there for a week the washing machine was really useful. I would not hesitate to book this apartment again.
Because it is a loft and I was there in summer it was quite hot in the apartment. However, sleeping with the windows open is fine.
We have two boys and they loved staying here in an old palace. The owner is extremely helpful and considerate. There is no air conditioning but the fans were helpful. Great location. We would definitely stay here again!
Alexandre is a fabulous host! He made sure our stay was wonderful. We loved the old building and the furniture in the studio. The location of the studio couldn't be better. We had a terrific time in Montpellier thanks to our nice studio and Alexandre! He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed.
If I had to mention one negative point, it would be the lack of airconditioning because it was really hot outside when we were in Montpellier (+30°C). But there was a fan in the room, so we were able to get some sleep.
Welcome by Alexandre excellent, on time and extremely helpful... We asked lots of questions which Alexandre was very eager to answer. Central location, close to car parks for those with cars.
We loved staying in this apartment. It has stone floors, and the windows look out into tiny courtyards not visible from the street, and you can imagine you live in old Montpellier. Inside it's modern and elegant and has everything you need. We liked the very big TV and fast Wifi. The beds were comfortable and with the fans in each bedroom, open windows, and stone walls, we could make it cool enough to sleep comfortably. The owner was very nice, spoke English well, and brought us milk and a marble cake. The apartment was very well located near the Place de la Comedie and therefore not too far from the station, but in a quiet side street.
There was no air conditioning, though there were fans and we could open windows. The top bedroom has restricted ceiling height which was OK for us because our daughters had it.
Great location in the heart of Montpellier. Alexandre the owner was fantastic, very helpful and went out of his way for us.
How wonderful to have so much space after spending time in several small hotel rooms. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was relaxing to stay here. My host was very helpful and made me feel very welcome. I enjoyed staying here and would recommend to friends
The position of this studio is great - right in the middle of it all but peaceful as well. The host is fantastic - he cant do enough for you, including coming to the car park to help carry luggage. car parking is a short walk away and very reasonable at 40euros for our four night stay. The building is interesting and full of history. A great place - recommended highly!
We really liked the central location right in the centre of the old town making sightseeing and finding somewhere to eat so easy. The owner was extremely helpful and having a fridge was very welcome. The coffee capsule machine was a nice touch.
The kitchenette was poorly lit and awkward to use.
The building and the room were astonishing: Image a 17th century building completely renovated. I liked the large staircase, the very high ceiling in the bedroom and the decoration details: with modern-art lamps hanging from the ceiling, a marble-engraved fireplace with a large mirror on top. The bed was extremely confortable. You can feel that the owner invested in the mattress, in the bedframe and in the pillows. We also had an expresso machine in the bedroom, and two capsules to make ourselves a nice coffee for breakfast. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Although the place is great, it is pricey.
Location. Close to railway station and old part of Montpellier. Assistance with arrival and carrying baggage upstairs . Size of apartment - very spacious. Very well equipped. Ease of paying in cash. Very helpful owner who spoke beautiful English.
Being an apartment I expected a washing machine, but there was a laundry nearby. The duvet was too hot. Supplying a blanket as an alternative may be a good idea.
large space and the owner was very friendly:he was waiting us when we arrived and he carried our luggage
a towel for the plates was missing!
Very nice landlord, asked how we re doing serval times. Wlan worked fine. Right in the city centre, very chic appartment. Good choice. Came with baby, they had a baby cot ready for us
I am 6'3 and banged my head several times in the upper room as ceiling is very low.
