The reception staff who worked the afternoon and evening shifts. Very nice and outgoing. I thought my girlfriend and I (who are not partners) were going to get two seperate beds. It was a little misleading from the photographs and descriptions on booking site. Instead, we were put into this tiny room with a double bed and hardly any room to move. We were initially told by receptionist, Emile, that she could accomodate us the next two days with a room with two beds at no cost. When I went back down to reception area to express my concern that we would like to be accomodated that day because our initial room was so tiny and shower head only spurted out hot water. She talked with her manager and they both said they couldn't accomodate us that evening. He then notified us that there would be, in fact, an additional charge of 20Euro per evening for the new room. The manager, who was of East Indian descent, wouldn't budge even though Emile originally said that there would be no additional charge. He then showed me the room were we would be moving into. The room was okay--it was roomier. However, the rugs were worn, it smelt of smoke, the bathroom smelt of urine and wifi reception barely worked. I then tried to negotiate down (which I shouldn't had to do) on the additional charges. The manager seemed to enjoy this and we got into a back and forth. It was a frustrating exchange and it wasn't appreciated. He eventually lowered it to 10e. Emile seemed to go along with her manager. She was polite, but flat and like her manager not overly accomodating. It felt like a game. The other receptionist who worked the afternoon shift made up for both their behaviors. She was accomodating and went out of her way to make you feel welcomed. She greeted you with a smile. Huge difference. I didn't get that from Emile or her manager. They seemed to enjoy giving their paying guests a hard time. Again, we spent alot of money for a nice experience. We didn't get what we paid for and I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

I would definitely not recommend this hotel to any one for the following reasons. The information about the hotel was not accurate. 1. The elevator was out of service and I had to carry my belongings three flours, 2. The wifi connection was poor, so I couldn't not do my work as planned, 3. The room sound isolation was very poor, I could hear people in the next room talking and could hear their tv as well. Every morning, I could hear the cleaning lady vacuum cleaning the corridors outside my room. Every time a person opens or closed a door in my corridor I could hear it as well. All this has contributed negatively to my bad sleep. In addition it was very expensive, about 300 E for two nights, for a a quite small room. In spite of the location, I would recommend you to stay away. There are a lot of other hotels in that locations which are more worth the price. I didn't like anything except the location, which I believe other hotels in the area would offer without the many downsides of the Pantheon.

The appearance and interior decoration. The friendliness of the staff in particular the breakfast lady and the receptionist on our arrival. We were up-graded to a superior room with a beautiful view of the Pantheon and Paris. We were recommended a local restaurant as we had missed our original reservation. This restaurant is not to be recommended. Food very mediocre for the price and owner inexcusibly rude.

I had a beautiful corner room on the second floor with lovely views. The only issue to be aware of right now is that there is major construction going on in the building next door. The first room I was shown was unacceptable to me because the noise level from the construction. I was quickly shown a room at the other end of the hotel--a lovely corner room--and was not disturbed by noise at all.

Super place and super people. Really enjoyed our time at the Hotel du Pantheon. The location cannot be beaten and only a walk to the river. Ideal for the RER from the airports too (Luxembourg station). We'll be back.

Excellent location. Nice room. Friendly multilingual staff. Convenient breakfast. Breakfast is overpriced. Security is a bit lax. The keys that are to be left with the front desk staff are sometimes misplaced, causing momentary heart attacks for guests.

Location is excellent; also, views on the Place du Panthéon side are quite spectacular. The hotel is generally comfortable and cosy, and staff are truly friendly and helpful. This is Paris so rooms are predictably small, and bathrooms accordingly minuscule; we had booked a superior and got upgraded to triple, but even that was a bit cramped. It is not cheap, but that is Paris, and Quartier Latin. Sound-proofing is also notoriously sub-par but again, this will always be the case in small and medium-size hotels. Wi-Fi is present throughout the hotel but the signal seemed to stop at our bedroom door (it was available in the corridor!).

We really loved the room. It was rather big, nice design, separate bathroom and toilet. The view from the window was fantasic! You won't find old furniture there and no smell of old building. Breakfast was fine: yogurt, creaps, friut, cheese and ham and bread of course. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room is a bit dark.

We love the position and the individual nature of the hotel and decor of the rooms and of course the wonderful view of the Pantheon. And lovely friendly staff. Our room although so pretty did smell quite strongly of damp. Also we feel it is a shame the breakfast room is in the basement, it would be nice to eat looking at the wonderful view. Breakfast not very good value for the money!
