In the heart of the Latin Quarter, Familia Hotel is located less than half a mile from Notre Dame Cathedral and a 3-minute walk from Maubert – Mutualité Metro Station (line 10).

The Hotel Américain is a charming hotel set in the heart of the old area of Paris, called the Marais, surrounded by art galleries, cafes and young fashion designers.
Score from 221 reviews Good
The hotel is in nice area surrounded by some streets with pubs and restaurants. We were on top floor and had some view on Eifel tower from our window (looking nice at night time). Is very close to the metro, what is the easiest way to get everywhere around for €1.70 and walking distance to attractions the closet one was Nothre Dame about 15min straight down to long street.
There was a bit of smell coming out of bathroom but we where out most of the day so not big issue.
The beds were comfortable and location of the hotel was central
Breakfast extremely basic but probably no different to other hotels in this price range.
The staff were very helpful and friendly The hotel was close to a metro station which made it easier to transfer from place to another in the city
I would like to have a bigger room and spacious elevator
Amasing location and view and comfort
The bathroom smelled bad
Small but nice and comfortable room. Well located on a street with lots of restaurants, shops, tourist attractions, etc
I could hear the street noise but it was at an acceptable level.
Location Price Staff
We really enjoyed the location , the beds and the charm and character of the hotel. Will definitely recommend to friends. The staff were helpful and friendly too
Coffee making facilities in the room would have been nice.
Location is very close to bus station and metro stations. You can go to chatelet by bus for 10mins also instead of metro.
There is no shampoo in bathroom.also there is no minibar in room.
The location, staff and very comfortable bed
The position - within easy walking distance of most of the main sights, and close to Republique metro station, from where it was easy to get from and to the airport by train and metro.
The shower with no cubicle or curtain, so that the bathroom floor got rather wet. I also didn't sleep too well because I found the duvet too hot - but it was unseasonably warm for October.
Easy walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame, and many sights. There's a metro stop just steps away that will take you to the Eiffel Tower with no train changes.
Great reception, Great hotel, very good location, Very nice rooms, good beds, not noisy, near Metro, near places to eat and other shops, VERY helpful staff, very clean, some rooms have excellent views, excellent house keeping. Ask for room 60 if you are a single traveller - the balcony is GREAT
the elevator is very small
Very helpful staff, PC available to print boarding passes, clean rooms, large bathroom, great wi-fi access.
lovely comfortable beds the roaring traffics boom in the night! Very polite and helpful staff
a bit more choice for breakfast...fruit or cereal would have been welcome.
I and 2 other adults all shared one room during our two separate visits. The rooms are clean and comfortable with beautiful views. The staff, however, is what made this place stand out. Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and even remembered us when we came back for our return visit. Any issues that arose were quickly addressed by staff. It is very close to the Temple metro stop, which made it convenient for everything we wanted to do.
Very friendly reception and housekeeping staff Good location Lobby is Parisian rustic, but the rooms were simple modern decor. Wifi worked well for me, but I was also on the first floor.
I was on the first floor and it was a little noisy in the morning after a late night - although the Sunday church bells are what really kept waking me up, but there is not much you can do about that.
Close to metro easy to get around to the major attractions very clean but tired newer mattresses quiet at night
It was very very small did not include toiletries
Superb location, about 10/15 mins walk to the Pompidou Centre, 30 secs walk to Temple Metro, 5 mins to Arts et Metier metro, 1 minute to nearest supermarket, cool bistro across the road. Heuvre (sp?) the front desk concierge really rocks, so helpful. Amazing value for this price in central Paris.
Ignore the Americans wingeing about the hotel room and elevator size (that's Paris!) but not there are no fridges and the wifi is really patchy.
Central, and great value
Bedroom a little small
Hotel Paris France was an absolute gem. Not only is the building itself charming and beautiful, but it is in a great location, close to several metro stops--making all parts of Paris easily accessible. The closest metro stop is Temple, and it is also near Republique. Every staff member we encountered at the hotel was helpful and friendly. Breakfast is 6 Euros if you want to eat in the hotel. We didn't try the breakfast, as there are many, many cafes nearby where you can grab a croissant and coffee. The room we stayed in was small but impeccably maintained and very clean. The bed was comfortable, and the crisp, white sheets were changed daily. Despite being on the busy Rue de Turbigo, the double- paned windows keep the noise down pretty well. I would recommend bringing ear plugs and playing the white noise app on your phone at night and in the morning. Because the rooms are packed closely together, it's inevitable that you will hear your neighbors banging around. Also, the wi-fi could be better--our connection kept dropping. The best place to use the wi-fi was in the lobby of the hotel. In my opinion, this hotel was a fantastic value, and we will stay here again when we come back to Paris.
Was a great location right near the Metro, incredible value for money! Very clean, comfortable and well placed with friendly and helpful staff!
Everything especially the polite, helpful friendly staff. Very accessible. One road takes you to the Marais, another Bastille, another Opera, another Pere Lachaise. Three metro lines literally on the doorstep. Lots of eating places, bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby. République is always busy so walking around late at night is not intimidating.
The fact that my holiday came to an end.
Quiet and clean. Very close to metro. Two thumbs up!
Breakfast consisted of baguettes and croissants. That's it
