near train station and metro
the carpet floor less clean
Close to Gard du Nord. Many places to eat nearby. Friendly receptionist. Could leave luggage in storeroom.
TV and bedside light did not work. promised repairs did not happen. Bathroom door would not shut. No plug in basin. No extra pillows available. Too hot - no control. Quaint temperamental lift.
Near to Paris Gare du Nord station where the Eurostar departs to London from Paris. This is what I choose this hotel as my train is early in the morning. Walking to station is just less than 5 minutes.
When I want leave the room, I saw a bug at the pillow and a used tissue paper under the bed. Cleanliness need to be improved.
Location is close to the Gare du Nord, very convenient to go to any place of Paris, including airports. there are a lot of non-expensive cafes around.
The personnel was not very friendly, the room was very small and dark. It is a place to spend one night during a short business trip, no more.
No Wifi in the room.
The location was tremendous if travelling by train from Britain. The price for centre of Paris also great.
Nothing worth noting if taking into account the price
Close to paris nord. Helpful staff.
Lift is too small.
Very good room
Location, location, location. Room standard was ok for the price but really the location and helpful staff (late check-in, allowed us to leave our bags) are the only things worth mentioning. Bathroom could be cleaner but given the limited stay it served it purpose fine.
Could be cleaner but I've seen worse!
Look, if you're used to soft down lights and room service at your beck and call then this hotel is not for you. Yes it is a little shabby around the edges, as am I. I found it quaint and charming. Clean and quiet, ridiculously convenient to Gare du Nord with bars and coffee shops right at the front door. Yes the breakfast is light on, that's how they do it in France. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. I read so many negative reviews on this hotel, but like to make up my own mind. So glad I did.
i could hear people peeing in adjoining bathrooms, bit funny really.
wifi connection is poor at level 2.
- Good price - near metro - 40m - a lot of restaurants
- Not clean room - small room, - Hotel really with 2 stars - not more !!! - Wi-fi problems.
Fresh towels every day
Hotel is nothing like the pictures not a modern up to date hotel there was a lot of maintenance that needed to be done broken shower and stains on the carpet
Helpful staff 2 minute walk from Gare du Nord 3 minute walk from open tour bus stop 3 minute walk from brilliant bakery Option of breakfast Had Wi fi
No option to have a hot drink in your room. 209, although very clean, was very run down - mildew on wall, crumpled curtains, stained tiles, cracked grouting on bath.
We loved the location. The big bonus was the ability to leave luggage after checking out. The front desk staff. The shops and metro in the immediate location. Room 105 had very good wi fi.The price.
Where to start. The floor at the foot of the bed had collapsed. The toilet was disgusting. No hoover had been near the carpet in years. The curtains was filthy.I couldnt use the shower because of the mould and dirt. My son was braver than I. No tea and coffee in room.
Only good thing for me is location. So close to Gare Du Nord.
I choosed this hotel even i read so many bad comments. I gave a chance and chose this hotel for last night in paris as i had an early train with too many luggages. The most important thing for me is kindness. The other things can be tolerated about the hotel. The people in the recepcion are really dissatisfied and rude. They underestimate people and hardly reply your questions. They gave me a room and when i open the door i saw two open luggages. And i told to recepcion guy and he sad he would take the luggages out and then we could stay in the room.He tried to gave me a dirty and smelly room. I refused that and asked for a new room. The new room was empty but still it was smelly. I would never and ever recommend anybody to stay here..
Good location close to underground and various restaurants. Not too far from central Paris and it's tourist attractions.
Area a bit dark with plenty of obscure characters on street corners.
Good price near metro - 40m a lot of restaurant
Not clean room smal room carpet floor not straight in bathroom mould Hotel really with 2 stars - not more !!!
good location good value for the money
staff lacked personality and helpfulness room was dated and had a hole in the floor covered by carpet mold in the bathroom loud area of town
having to haul my suitcase up and down steps to elevator - would have been nice to be aware of this ahead
people talk bad about service... take your breakfast next door at a typical Paris cafe ... our room furniture was a bit old fashioned but OK, though close to station quiet at night. We were room 104 firstflor, not problems at all with wifi, insects or cleanliness... well the staff dumps the laundry on the ground... is that really a thing to give a negative point...??? I enjoyed being close to station and metro !!!
Easy to get to train and underground, nicely renovated, clean, safe, great for l'Open Tour bus on/off tour. Small grocery around corner (Carrefour Cite'). But as this is a main train station, some care is still needed in area. Some reasonably good and safe restaurants and cafe's in neighborhood. We had 2 single beds and they were good for sleeping.
We were there during a fall heat wave, so room very warm at night. A/C not sufficient, so left window open and there was street noise during night - clean up, ambulance once. When we closed window and stripped down for heat, slept ok.
