The hotel was in a great central location. It was a short walk to Notre Dame (I have a slight walking disability) but could handle the walk. The bus stop is directly across the street from the hotel and ATM's are next door or across the street. It was such a short walk to the Seine. The restaurants and shops were right there as you left the hotel! The staff were courteous and friendly. We did not speak french but this did not interfere with having a wonderful time in Paris. People were very understanding. The staff helped us with the route to Verseilles by getting us a print out of the bus and train (rer) route to take. They gave us the bus numbers and the train stops to take. The room was very clean. The bathroom tub was used frequently for my aching muscles. It was small but adequate. The hotel is great for those who want to stay within a budget and still have a clean, comfortable room. Our room had a balcony looking out on the Rue de Rivoli. The balcony doors were recently replaced so noise from the street was a minimum. I plan on booking there again next year! We did not have a key...the person at the desk would ride up the small elevator and open the door with a master key. It was a minor problem because they were quick to open our door and because I was not alone. I could leave the room and then knock to have my grandson open it. We also would leave in the early morning and return in the late afternoon so going in and out was at a minimum. The beds were a little hard, but that is a very personal thing, It was minor and my body adjusted!

We loved the location. The man who worked the desk the weekend of April 13-14 - day shift was so helpful and friendly. The rooms were kept so clean. The woman who checked us in on April 10 was not very nice. She also seemed to have trouble with the computer system to make changes. On the morning of April 11, we turned in our key at the desk in the morning when we left. There were 2 of us in the room, so we thought if we came back at different times, the key would be there. We were told at checkin we could only have one key. When I returned that day, the key was not there and no one knew where it was. It was never found. Finally, on April 12 , a man gave us two keys!

Location, location, location!!!! View of the balcony. You have view the busy road of Rue de Rivoli. The hotel is very close to the gay area Le Marais, and in walking distance to the main attractions of Paris ( Louvre Museum, Pompidou Museum, Norte Dame de Paris, Place de Vosges, etc...) Even they provide 24h reception, the night porter asked us what time we gonna be back and he requested that he will open the main door of the hotel only once, because he didn't want to interrupt his sleep. This was a bit funny...we felt like young children when the parents ask what time you will be back home. Another thing is that if you want to pay cash you need to have the exact amount. The lady in the reception when we wanted to pay she mentioned that she didn't have enough change. Despite all of the cons, I would prefer this hotel when I will go back to my amazing Paris

Brilliant location, with in easy walking distance of most central sites. Very clean and comfortable hotel. We felt our room and bathroom were quite spacious for an attic room in Paris. The price we paid was very competitive. We were at the back of the hotel and it was quiet at night. The reception staff were a bit cold and clinical. The breakfast staff were friendly, but the breakfast room/ bar was rather cluttered with rows of tables which made the area rather cramped. This area looked as though it had not served as a real bar for a long time. However, there was a note in the hotel guide stating drinks could be purchased for the fridge in the bedroom. There were no tea/ coffee making facilities in the room as had been stated.

Loved the hotel. Have stayed several times in Marias in different hotels, but this was definately the best 3 star we've stayed in. Great value for money. Really friendly helpful staff, especially the reception guy. Also great location and great breakfast (very rare for Paris 3 star standard.) We'll definitely come back next year!

Excellent location (but there were many other hotels in the area) - There is a lift - There are several cafes and pubs and shops around the hotel We ordered several months in advance on Booking website. We chose this hotel because it said that the room has a balcony and coffee facilities We arrived at the hotel at 11:00 tired from the flight, But we were told that we could get the room only at 13:00. Most hotels we stayed in, never had a problem getting the room earlier. When we arrived at 13:00 we were told that the room was not yet ready!!!. We had to wait another 20 minutes. After all this, we discovered that the room has no balcony and no coffee facilities as it said on Booking.com. In addition - we got a room in the attic when you get hit in the head every time going into the bathroom, And when it rained - all of the water came in through the window and slid the rug. Toilet in the bathroom adjacent Rough glass window - It gives a unpleasant feeling when sitting on the toilet. We asked for late check out Even if required to pay, But we were told that there is no such option because the hotel is fully booked, But when we looked online, we saw that they still offer rooms for sale on this day. They cleaned our room even though we left a sign do not disturb. We paid 150 euros per night, which is a very high price for what we got Now the good things: - Excellent location (but there were many other hotels in the area) - There is a lift - There are several cafes and pubs and shops around the hotelWe ordered several months in advance on Booking website. The location was great, on a main street, right next to la Marais for the bars and restaurants. Ideal for the gay traveller. Nice breakfast. The room was a little gloomy. We had a room facing into a small courtyard.

location, not tiny room, big bath-room with window, good air-conditioner, refrigerator (mini-bar) we asked for a room faced to an inner area (to be quite), but it has another minus, it was impossible to open the window because of quite strong unpleasant smell from the kitchen. it doesn`t have kettle.

hotel had an elevator which is nice. opening windows which is good. safe in room is handy. the reception staff was friendly enough. I had a very unfortunate experience. Firstly, I was fairly sure I woke up with bites from bed bugs. But I could not prove this because the Hotel responded saying they could not see any bugs. I know bugs are hard to find as they have a fixed wooden bed head. They said they would get a professional to check, i have not heard back. I was physically threatened by night auditor when he did not allow me to bring my cousin to the room. The night was during Gay Pride, and I am certain he was homophobic and just being rude. He said if I come back he'll "paint the wall with my face". Very rude and ruined my stay in Paris. Hotel located right next to Le Marais (gay district) - definitely avoid if you are gay.

Lokation, lokation, lokation! The room was very dark and one of the lamps wasn't working. The room was next to the elevator and you couldt hear people talking in the elevator. So don't get the rooms 105, 205, 305 and 405, call and ask in advance. But if you aren't looking to spend mutch time at the hotel and you got a good set of earplugs, it is a great hotel.

The room was perfect for one person staying a few days/nights. The hotel is in a wonderful location, with easy access to shopping, groceries, cafes, restaurants, Metro stop St. Paul, etc. The room, though on the third floor facing the street was very quiet due to the installation of double pane windows. When windows were closed there was no street noise. It was also air-conditioned. The gentleman at the registration desk was very knowledgeable, helpful, and obviously enjoyed his conversations with hotel guests. The breakfast room was small but very pleasant, with a view onto the street. The food was good standard breakfast fare and worth the extra charge of 8e. I was glad I booked into this hotel and would stay there again next trip to Paris.

Our stay at the Paris Rivoli was marvelous. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Sylvie was particularly helpful with directions and reservations but everyone was great. We stayed in Paris for two weeks and the location was wonderfully central to virtually everything we needed. The room was always clean and the soundproofing from the street noise was great. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Location was super. Clean room and bathroom. Staff at reception was very helpful Being right on one of the busiest streets of Paris, it was quite noisy even with the balcony door closed but there is nothing the hotel management could do to improve this. If one choses to stay at such an in area , one should be prepaired to accept this !

The hotel is located in the centre of Paris. It is a quaint little hotel very close to Notre dame church. The staff were friendly and helpful, the service was great. They all spoke English. All rooms have a shower over bath which may be difficut for older travellers. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back again if in Paris. The shower over bath made it very difficult for my elderly friend.
