Terrific staff service, best in three weeks in France. Quiet room. Very close to metro station.
Room had a bit of a musky smell.
The owners very helpful. Felt very safe for solo woman traveller. Metro close by. Quirky furnishings like stepping back in time might not work in another hotel but here it does.
Love making next door kept me awake and indicated that the walls are very thin. But this is Paris...!
the service is good
no hanger for the showerheads, it's uncomfortable while taking shower
Charming staff who were always friendly and accommodating! The complimentary breakfast was quite good.
Small bathroom but I understand this is the norm in Europe.
Love this area - down-to-earth real Paris, but an easy stroll to Bastille and into the Marais. Lots of nice bars, friendly restaurants, theatre ... and lovely mix of people. The hotel is old-fashioned without being run-down - not deluxe but charming. And as colourful as you could wish, literally. First hotel I ever stayed in where I got a bedspread with sequins :-). And the staff are delightful ...
Old-school 'sausage' pillow in a long roll. Though actually I slept well. Shower curtain that stopped 20 cms short of the floor ... errr not a great way to keep water out of bathroom ..?!
One minute walk to Metro station Best value for money Staff willing to help
Room could be arranged better to give more space and comfortness
Very helpfull staff! Nice neighborhood with restaurants and shops. Near metrostation Voltaire.
Wi-fi system was poor.
Breakfast, behavior of employees, close to the center of the city
Relatively close to everything; not in a tourist area.
The room, including the bathroom, was very small and somewhat expensive, but I suppose that is normal for Paris. I could hear the neighbour talking quite well from the room across the hall.
It is really good location and good staff.
Great location: really close to the Voltaire metro station, close to the Place de La Bastille and Place de Vosges, a lot of places where you can have coffee, wine, something to eat nearby. Nice hotel staff. Teeny tiny but clear room.
Quite a lot of noise from another rooms.
Only 1 min walk to Metro, supermarket and several nice restaurants. Good service, family feeling. Breakfast ok (French breakfast is never more than ok). No noise from traffic or others.
A small fridge on the room should had been nice, but it was no surprise,it was declared from the beginning.
staff super helpful and accommodating. immaculate rooms with great maid service. convenience to metro
lack of a/c precluded closing windows on the noisy nights
Location, kind staff, breakfast was wonderful!
The room was very small with a small en suite, but very serviceable. A quaint French style Hotel, good value
Wonderful hosts, helped us with everything we needed! Very clean. They cleaned our room every single day. Nice breakfast. The hotel had a lift.Very good location. Just by the metro stop and less than 10 min walk from Bastille and Marais.
Triple room a little too small for 3 adults with suitcases.
Happy efficient staff who were very helpful at all times. Fantastic breakfasts served every day with a smile and such hospitality. My familyn who stayed at a hotel nearby on Boulevard Voltaire were envious of our situation. They paid so much more and got no breakfast. Please do not change as we are recommending you to any of our friends who ever want to come to Paris and are put off by the existing prices.
Too many "things" in a tiny room. Mats and doileys on table and floors. We took away bits and pieces and put them in our very small wardrobe. Who on earth needs a trouser's presser in a very basic hotel? It just took up more space in our tiny room.
Close to metro, some good eating places.
Lack of information in the room. i.e check out times, places to eat act.
Very small and congested rooms, only French language, breakfast was not buffet but was served limited upto some croissants and bread with no egg options.
I stayed here for four nights as a traveling student. The owners and staff are so very friendly and helpful! They allowed me to check in early upon my arrival. I needed to print about 50 pages of music for a music program, and they let me print the pages on their computer. When I went to pay for this service, they wouldn't let me! The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and clean, and good for studying and relaxing. The decor is charming and hilarious - a mix of many different wacky and fun aesthetics. My bathroom featured a bath tub with a shower head, which was nice. A great area, near many restaurants and cafes, and near to the exciting Rue de Roquette. The breakfast is a baguette, croissant, yogurt, fruit, and a beverage, and is some amount of euros (I think around 8?). I will come back to this hotel!
The volunteers are wonderful! Very friendly and helpful. The location is good.
The room is very small.
The staffs, the location,
The room is small. I had the same breakfast for 5 days
