The location was absolutely perfect! The staff was very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

The pool, the room, the restaurant, the reception staff, the cocktails.

There was nothing bad, servie at breakfast wasnt particularly attentive.

We love.... feeling like your a resident and not just a guest somewhere. It's the ultimate Parisian holiday in the best location, everything steps away. The staff so attentive,food delicious and the ambiance so sexy and chic. The under ground pool and steam a must!!!! I'ts our third visit and wouldn't think of staying somewhere else. The best waking up everyday and wanting to pinch yourself !!!!! i'ts not a dream it's L'hotel!!!!

There was a construction going on at the hotel during our stay, which should have been reported to us before our travels. When we asked for some preferences due to the inconvenience, we were dismissed. the restaurant was booked for dinner every night. The hotel should have warned us to make reservations in advance.

It's history and charm.

The hotel has let all aspects of its upkeep slip. We booked seven mons in advance and requested a room on a high floor, got a room on the first floor. When we were moved to the third floor the room had a smashed wash basin, mould growing in the bathroom, Internet didn't work, overall upkeep was bad. One night we returned to the hotel and the bar was shut because their madman had left. They had no back up. A five star,(supposedly), hotel with no one who could mix cocktails. One day we left the room at 8.30am and when we returned the maid was still making up the room. We had to sit outside our room for 20 minutes to wait for it to be completed,(as the rooms are so small). This is a quaint place we used to love but now it's far too expensive and not value for money.

This is my second stay. It is the epitome of what a Parisian hotel should be - great food, great service and charming authentic French decor. Location is great for wandering the streets of St. Germain and soaking up the ambiance.

L'hotel was described on www.Seat61 website as a unique romantic intimate hotel. After looking up L'hotel webpage we decided to book our stay. It turned out to be just as described by Seat61. It was just what we had hoped it would be and better. Location was excellent for our walking to the sites we wanted to see and things we wanted to do.

The staff were helpful and delightful and willingly showed us the room linked with Oscar Wilde. The swimming pool was lovely, as was the dining area. The bed was enormous and really comfortable, and the room was quiet. I enjoyed our one night stay. We went to a jazz club nearby, and there were some fabulous shops very close to the hotel. A great area.

We were in room 24. A few minor suggestions. The lighting definitely needs to be improved in that room. Even with all lights on, it's a dim room and that makes packing difficult. The room is, of course, small. We knew it would be and were not concerned about that. However, with alot of luggage it's quite cramped and it would have been good to have an alternative to putting open suitcases on the floor. Also the air conditioning did not seem very effective.

L'Hotel is quirky - an accomplished piece of uppercrust English retro placed between the Continental fin-de-siecle and1920/30s. The rooms are more fin-de-siecle in deference, it seems, to Oscar Wilde's lengthy stay, and the breakfast music begins in the Victorian era (Gilbert and Sullivan) and proceeds no further than the War. The location is extremely convenient, in the heart of the left bank. For those many tourists coming to Paris for reasons of imagined nostalgia, this may the hotel for you.

We were only there for one night and it was a Monday so we have no experience of the restaurant's qualities. The pool/spa area was closed for some type of works so it is impossible to comment on those other parts of a hotel experience that may add to its charm. I can say that breakfast was mildly disappointing with only hard and soft varieties of chevre served and the orange juice had fermented but the unexpected English retro music kept it all buoyant and mildly hilarious.

The staff and location was great, however the room was so small that it was difficult to do anything - washing, dressing etc was a challenge! I was surprised to discover that there was no discount to a regular rate for the room. I thought Booking.com provided the best deals! I was disappointed, in the future will book directly with the hotel, it is usually cheaper and easier.

This is a wonderful hotel. We stayed for a week. The location is perfect. We love to walk & explored the city easily from our hotel. The staff were very nice & helpful. We'll be back. The price is a little high but you won't regret it.

Service an der Bar. Service war unfreundlich und wir fühlten uns unwillkommen, eher lästig. Dafür war das Reception Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

les toillettes au sous sol de l'hotel. Pour la première fois le manque de chauffage dans ma chambre.

Design och miljö är helt underbara. Ett av de mest speciella hotel jag bott på.

Personalen behöver trimmas in. Exempel: frukosten på söndagen var lite Fawlty Towers, vid avfärd kommer portieren ut på gatan där vi står med väskorna och frågar om vi vill ha hjälp med väskorna!.

Perfekte Lage in St. Germain, alles wunderbar.

L 'hotel is prachtig! De kamers, de bar en restaurant, de buurt, .. Super!

In de voormiddag leek de receptie onderbemand (terwijl er dan toch heel wat mensen uitchecken). Ook te weinig personeel in de keuken/bar blijkbaar want koffie bestellen voor op de kamer kon niet, wat wel spijtig is voor dit soort van hotel.
