Comfortable room, romantic view over Parisian rooftops, fantastic neighborhood of galleries, boutiques, and brasseries. L'Restaurant within the hotel also excellent dining experience.
We should have known to book the pool early! Don't be left out of experiencing this unique feature of the property.
We already knew L'Hotel so we spare you the things you can learn from the site. During my stay I got pretty sick and we decided to go home. There was fantastic help from the receptionist organizing this, which was a great endeavour because of the planned strikes in Belgium. On top of that there were no charges for the cancellation of our last day. We already came to the hotel because of the great atmosphere and the service but now you've also won our hearts. dear staff from L'Hotel: Whenever in Paris, We'' ll be back!
Excellent location, staff, style, history and truly memorable experience
This is our second time back so obviously we like to hotel. The location is very good, we love the piscine, and Alexandre is an amazing hotel concierge with excellent advice that made us both smile everytime we talked with him. The toiletries are a wonderful brand and the layout of the hotel is intimate and in general, the staff do try to take care of your needs.
The hammam is certainly worn and in need of repairs and the rooms are tiny for the price. Some of the other staff were lukewarm. The tv and giant chairs take up very valuable real estate in the rooms which were too warm at night for our comfort. The internet has VPN blocked so you need to be careful about sensitive information when on wi-fi.
Everything. Totally cool!
General atmosphere of the hotel was fantastic, the small pool good fun and service reasonable.
The bed was comfortable but the rubber lined sheeting was not very pleasant at all - hot and sweaty nights sleep. If I visited again I would request the sheeting to be cotton without the rubber lining!
Charming, quaint, elegant, perfectly positioned. Front desk staff were excellent.
Room was very cramped, dark and bed sagged in the middle and mattress needs to be replaced. Air conditioning was ineffective. Bathroom also a disappointment. Preferring to shower, the shower hose did not fit the wall mount and the mount itself was loose.
Brilliant location and lavish interiors. Food, service and underground pool are excellent. Great advice from staff regarding travelling around Paris
I thought the staff were amazing ! So helpful , friendly and polite .
We were on the 6th floor at the top , I really don't like being that high up but didn't want to ask if they had another room available - I survived !
Atmosphere, its shape, its comforts, the terrace, the breakfast, the staff.
It is impossible to dislike anything about L'Hotel
The breakfast, location, the hotel was beautiful!!! Lovet it !!
The bed had som kind of Plastic protection under the bedsheet. Really did'nt like it , slept bad on it :-(
Great location. Accessible to many Paris attractions on both the left and right bank. Polite and generally helpful staff.
The lift was undergoing repairs for two days, which would be difficult for people staying on higher floors and the elderly. Staircase beautiful but quite narrow.
Staff were great, staircase and internal layout were wonderful and felt historic and romantic.
Headboard was too bobbly for comfort.
We stayed in the Belle Epoque suite which was incredible! Spacious, luxurious bedroom and sitting room with the most spectacular bathroom! We sorely wish that we could have taken the tub home with us!! Having dinner at Le Restaurant is a must while there as is a drink at Le Bar! Can't wait to go back there for the third time!
Having to leave
A beautiful boutique hotel perfectly located within walking distance to many attractions and iconic cafés. The staff at the front desk were exceptional and assisted us with making dinner reservations at Hotel Costes.
Having to leave.
They did everything they could to meet our needs. They arranged private cars to help us get around the city. The staff was excellent and worked hard to make sure our stay was perfect. Their restaurant recommendations were wonderful. I will definitely return to L'Hotel.
Beautiful little historic boutique hotel! Perfect location, could walk to pretty much all of the Paris sights- Notre Dame, the Louvre, Les Invalides, Luxembourg Gardens, even la Tour d'Eiffel! Many good restaurants and bars in close proximity as well. Our room, although small, was exquisite! Beautifully appointed, comfortable large bed, the staff were so very friendly and helpful. This was a little jewel in the centre of Paris!
Splendid building and quirky decor in the room. Fantastic location. Opulent lounges and dining area. Nice outdoor space.
Did not like the fact we were told the bar would stay open until at least 01:00am. In actuality it closed early because the staff wanted to watch football so when we returned from supper for a drink, in the bar we were assured would be open, we were sadly disappointed. We were not told the restaurant was going to be shut either which was also a little disappointing as we had planned to eat in the hotel one evening but, this was not possible. Both these minor annoyances did not ruin an otherwise enjoyable stay but, keeping guests informed is not hard to do so perhaps a little more communication would be a good idea. We also booked a taxi to the train station from the hotel and nobody thought to mention to us that there was a national rail strike going on. Just a little more thought about the the guests would have been helpful.
I TRAVEL WITH MY FAMILIY..THE HOTEL SO OLD,UNCOMFORTABLE. .THE BATH TO SHOWER SO SMALL.ONE DAY WE DONT HAVE HOT WATER. TO EXPENSIVE FOR THE 4-5 STARS..THAT THEY SUPOSE.I REALLY DIDNOT LIKE ME.I AM NOT RECOMENDED IT.THE DECORATION OF THE ROOMS,HORRIBLES..,,,
Liked the rooms and the loctation, service in general is not up to 5 stars.
Its not really a five star hotel as overall
The opulence of the decor of the public rooms and was impressive. The bedroom was also opulent but a little worn. The staff were knowledgable and eager to please. The bar was beautiful and the drinks were creative. You really had a sense of history with this place. Very charming!
Our upper floor room was on the warm side all the time. Bedspread was old and worn looking. Most everything else had been updated.
Wonderful interior and history. Very comfortable beds. Very helpful and friendly staff.
Super friendly staff
Bit overdecorated for the summer
Everything concerning the bar, room, service, etc. was simple perfect!
The hamman and swimming pool were not so clean; the hamman didn't have cold water, so without a towel you couldn't sit down; the room where the pool is, is very noisy; the shower was broken...so this was the least part of the hotel. Nevertheless, the stay was superb!
