Kyriad Hotel Paris Porte d'Ivry  

I was with my friend we booked the double room. The room was clean and comfortable. It's not very big but It was enough for us.It has hairdryer, shampoo, magazines, they offer coffee and water for free, also many french tv channels.The room cleaning personnel was very nice. The receptionists some of them were nice but some of them were not nice at all. It's not far from the centre, about 20-30 minutes by metro(line 7). Also it close to the Disneyland from the Porte d' vry you can take the train to the last stop of the train to Pte de Viencennes and get the metro St Mande (line 1) or walk till Nation metro (line 12). There you can get the train till Disnayland(line A). There is free wifi in the room, it's very good even the conaction isn't good.

The area isn't very good, at night time it is scared to walk fom the metro to the hotel. The window was too small. The ceilings were very low. The hotel was extremely hot. I don't think it would be a good idea to stay in this hotel in summer cos they don't have air conditioning. Some of the receptionists were not so nice. The transportation by bus is not easy since the bus stops for different buses are scattered all over the area. It is really bad for them to charge 5€ to keep your luggage for a few hours since most hotels do this for free.

The price is generally OK

The hotel is in rebuilding during our stay, it smells badly and people moving things everywhere and it is noisy even in the nights.

1. The hotel blocked the money on my credit card 4 days prior to my date of arrival and without any notice or my approval. When I realized they have done so, I asked why they did that at the reception and they first denied saying that booking.com blocked my money and then, that the bank blocked my money. That would have not been a problem if, when I arrived at the hotel they would have charged the money they had blocked, but they charged another amount, so now I had 413eur blocked and 413eur charged by the hotel. I called my bank and they confirmed me that the money had been blocked by the hotel and it will take 14 days before I could use them, that is if they are not charged twice by the hotel. Finally, after it took the reception desk 2 days to understand my problem, they gave me a letter stating they will not charge me twice, letter which I was able to send to my bank and unblock my money. I tried to call the Customer Protection Office in France but the hotel refused to give me the number and also to discuss the problem with hotel manager, but again I was refused. 2. Breakfast was the worst I ever had in Europe. Ham and cheese had absolutely no taste at all and the marmalade was very sour. 3. In the elevator there was a smell of sweat from morning to evening probably coming from other guests or the hotel employees. 4. The room was cleaned every day but it was extremely small. 5. The reception was not very friendly from the beginning and only 1 of their 4 employees was able to speak English well, the others were speaking "Franglais" or only French. All in all this hotel is THE WORST HOTEL I ever stayed in from all my travels in Europe and I strongly recommend to everyone never to stay there.

It was easy access coming into Paris from Germany, we were able to park in the street directly in front of the hotel for free during the weekend.

Outside city center, metro is approximately 10 min walk away from the hotel (far by Paris standards).

They have a hair dryer in the room. It is nice!

Their beds are too small, and I nearly fell off the bed.

I can not find any best thing at the hotel Kyriad. I lost some clothes and any of staff take responsible for the lost. I really miss smile from hotel staff.

One good point, we could take breakfast on the sunny terrace which was nice. Also the breakfast, for 10 Euro was OK.

We were with a group of 30 and took 16 rooms for a 2 night stay in this disastrous Kyriad hotel Porte d'Ivry. Oh man, this was a bad experience. The desk personnel is unfriendly and understaffed and only keeps in mind the hotel rules and not the wishes of the guests. Some examples: one couple had a baby and did not get access to the room, because one has to pay everything upfront and I , the group leader, had already left. It took an hour of discussions before they finally got access. The hotel requested for me to return although they had the number of my credit card! A group of 6 asked for drinks in the bar - that was indicated on the timetable as open, but where refused. A girl at breakfast wanted to take a croissant to her friend who was still in bed and who had paid for breakfast: forbidden. The last day we all had to pay 5 euro per piece of luggage (90 € in total) to put it in the cloakroom until departure late afternoon! Never heard of this kind of rip off before! The rooms where small and badly maintained but clean. The corridors where smelly and dark and ugly. Also the location of the hotel is bad as you have to walk 10 minutes to the nearest metro station.

It is not far from the city center, you can reach the center by metro 7, but sometimes you would need to take the bus which is quite confusing for a tourist. There are many nice good priced restaurants closeby. (Asian restaurants mostly) There is free wifi although I didn't have my computer so I couldn't use it.

L'insonorisation extérieure très efficace malgré la proxlmté du périphérique. Le petit déjeuner.

Insonorisation intérieure à améliorer au niveau des portes de communication entre eux chambres.

Accueil très sympathique et avenant (les chambres ayant été réservées via Booking.com n'étaient pas au même étage : le réceptionniste a tout fait pour les mettre au même étage). Acceuil agreable de la receptionniste quand nous sommes arrives vers midi j'ai régle mes 3 chambres et le parking jusque la parfait .la seule chose positive l'emplacement.

Vers 23h30 nous sommes arrivés pris nos cles de nos 3 chambres petit bémol une des 3 etait occupee ce qui fait que nos enfants se sont retrouvés2 etages plus bas heureusement qu'il en restait.la clim ne foctionnait pas,un grand jour sous la porte et 2 petits lits ou moi qui suis asses fort je ne pouvais meme pas me tourner .

- Restaurant dans l'Hotel - Calme et Emplacement (proche de toutes commodités).

- Beaucoup de Chaleur dans la Chambre : Absence de climatisation ; du fait que la climatisation Centrale (soit disant saisonnière) n'était pas mise en service. - Salle de toilettes vieillissante.

Nie działająca klimatyzacja. Bardzo malutkie pokoiki. Brak lodówki w pokoju. Podczas brania prysznica woda zmieniała swoją temperaturę, raz była gorąca raz chłodna...

Arrivée tardive sans difficulté parking

Chasse d eau chambre fonctionnait très mal la 702. Et cuvette wc mal fixée quand on se relève en pleine nuit pas agréable pour son voisin de chambre

Pratique, métro à coté.

Très mal insonorisé. Sur l'ensemble 2 et pas 3 étoiles.

Chambre etait trop chaud. Pas d'aire conditionant. Chambre, trop petite. Acces au Stationnement trop difficile.

La situation facile à la sortie de l'A4. L'insonorisation fantastique vis-à-vis du périphérique. Le parking sécurisé.

Une insonorisation très moyenne côté couloir. Chambre très petite.

La possibilité de prendre un repas le soir. Le plateau (thé, café, ...., eau chaude) dans la chambre. Le petit déjeuner à volonté.

Descrizione conforme. Qualita'/prezzo buona e vicinanza alla metro.

Camere un po piccole e colazione 10€ a persona

- Pokój ostatniego dnia został pozostawiony otwarty pod moją nieobecność i w tym czasie ktoś grzebał w moich rzeczach, używał kosmetyków, nie polecam tego hotelu. Personel nie przejął się nazbyt tym co się stało.
