Score from 67 reviews Good
The Hotel was in walking distance of restaurants, shops and station. The spa facilities were good; the massages and facials we had were excellent. The breakfast buffet was varied and served in light spacious surroundings. We chose to dine out so I can't comment on the restaurant. Reception staff were helpful and welcoming. Good wi-fi connection.
No negative points. Visitors need to be aware that the town centre is some distance from the port area on the lake.
The only let down for this hotel was the restaurant. We were very disappointed.
The hotel in General was clean and central to the location and nice facilities although the swimming pool could have done with some maintenance work. There was no toiletries or breakfast and for £130 per night was not value for money.
One night the fire alarm went off most people came down to the reception and then told it was a false alarm. No apology from the management not even a cup of tea for the inconvenience
Rooms, beds, robes, pool, reception, staff.
Good location, Spa was excellent
Scrambled egg at breakfast was burnt.
Beautiful grounds. Comfortable and clean rooms. Easy in-and-out for exploring the city.
While calm and serene, the hotel lacks energy. Besides the grounds (which are beautiful), the hotel is fairly generic.
4 star facilities city centre convenience helpfulness of staff parking onsite
no complaints whatsoever
Staff was very friendly from room staff to restaurant and swimming pool. Rooms are pretty new and done to a great standard. Good amount of space and like the separate toilets.
You booked that place for the swimming pool and it was closed for one of the day we had booked and we didn't know in advance.
Proximity to "centre ville" and Japanese Garden.
The staff were extremely helpful and apologetic for the state of the hotel due to total disruption caused by extended building work. Would not have booked if we had realised what was going on still after the promised completion date. Chose to eat in the town centre rather than at the hotel. Will need to check, on our return to the UK, whether we have been charged too much!!
The menu and the personnel
- Bad smell in the room - hotel still under construction - Bed too hard
We were unaware that we had booked into a building site the renovations were intrusive and we were sadly disappointed especially as all entrances were very dusty , no fault of the cleaners who were obviously trying their best in a difficult situation . We feel that putting this in small print at the bottom of a booking form is very wrong and misleading it should be made bold and obvious !!! Luckily the room on the 5 th floor proved adequate and clean the staff at breakfast were curtious and breakfast was okay
Location Close proximity of restaurants, bars etc Walking distance to train Easy access to Annecy
Incomplete renovations Air conditioning
The room was very comfortable, very well appointed and so quiet! Didn't hear anybody or anything despite being so central.
Obviously the hotel is not finished yet so it's not perfect but I'm sure it will be beautiful. The swimming pool is small and the jacuzzi tiny but the staff very friendly and the massage was fantastic!
The location is perfect !
Unfortunately the hotel is being renovated very disruptive stay, strong smell,of paint and loud drilling noise went on all afternoon . Don't think that he hotel should be open to the public at the moment.
The location and the staff ! All very helpful.
Good pool and sauna set up. Restaurant good value for money
Literie Petit déjeuner
Ascenseur long et en panne.
It was a nice relaxing hotel with a good location.
We were given a superior room, however: - The bedsheets were torn. - We didn't have bathrobes in the room and we realised this when we went to the swimming pool and realized that we should have bathrobes in the room so that we don't need to change there. The staff gave us misleading information: we asked if the main thermal centre of the town is open and were told yes. After driving there it turned out that it is entirely closed. I would at least expect them to make a call and check this before sending us there. I also think that the breakfast is too expensive. For EUR 15/person you don't get something exceptional.
Rooms & car park excellent. Staff also excellent. Location also good for the station.
Bar area, was the breakfast room, no soft seating. Restaurant was not competitive with other restaurants near the hotel.
cleanliness was not perfect.bathroom not perfect restaurant not well organized very long to be served the maitre d hotel not so smart with customers
The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is near the center of the city and it offers a great massage treatments.
We booked a suite which is supposed to have a "spa tub". It turns out it's just a normal tub. The TV in the room was supposed to feature canal + programmes, but there were none due to "bad signal". Spa area of the hotel needs a facelift. It looks old and a bit depressive.
Everybody at the desk was very friendly and professional, and they did not force English on us, much appreciated. Room 301 was not away from the elevator, as I had requested, but it was still reasonably quiet.
The lighting in the room is very bad, and makes it very hard to read or do pretty much anything you need your eyes for. Internet connectivity, while free, was very poor. For 94 euro, the room was not all that expensive, but very small. The breakfast at 15 euro was very expensive, but it gave me an amazing experience; I've never seen or tasted such disgusting food. I lift one steamer lid to behold a steaming heap of shiny, lardy, pink, foul-smelling excrement… oh, it’s actually bacon. Gross. I lift another to find pale-yellow “scrambled” eggs and try them on my plate. They have the consistency of day-old oatmeal, smell horribly of rotten fish, taste like old newspaper soaked in spoiled one-percent milk, and have something burnt floating about in them, too. These eggs are so horrible they are truly remarkable (maybe they are not egg at all, but some sort of product from who knows what); it would be difficult to replicate the same results without using a variety of chemical non-food products. Truly - have seen nothing as awful as this breakfast food! But they also had dry bread, day-old pastries, and some fruit that was too hard to eat, along with some ham and slices of overcooled cheese.
The hotel was nicely located in town. Very convenient. Great breakfast and nice staff. Also the room was spacious. It is in need of redecorating but it is adequate.
Bed was too small.
