Staycity Serviced Apartments - Gare de l'Est  

Staff very friendly and helpful. We spent the first night (of 3) in a room with a connecting door to the next room, it was very noisy but the staff allocated us a different room the next day which was very quiet.

Facilities in terms of kettle, pans etc a little worn massive build up of lime scale in kettle really bad so I didn't use! Homeless people sleeping in close proximity of hotel, they cause no disturbance and do not hassle you in anyway, just very sad to see in such a affluent city.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. The location was very convenient and not at all threatening as commented by some in the past. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English well. There was an Internet terminal in the lobby as well as free wifi in the apartments. The location was very quiet.

The shower was a bit inconvenient since it was a drain in the bathroom floor with a partial curtain and no enclosure in the floor to contain the water. The bathroom floor got quite wet when it was used.

Location is pretty good - just next to Gare D'est (metro and train station) from where you can easily get everywhere. Staff is very positive and helpful. In terms of accomodation cost for Paris - cheap and value for money.

1) Water discharge in shower didn't work even after the builder tried to fix it 2) double bed consists of 2 small matresses which fall apart everytime you try to sleep close to the second person. Highly uncomfortable

That it had a kitchen and was fairly centrally located. It had a lift.

Bathroom very small, microwave didn't warm food. Very difficult to find from the station-would suggest you get there from Gare D Est rather than Gare D Nord. Wifi not very strong.

the bathroom was quite smelly and the appartment as such was relatively small (compared to what's shown on the pictures), the WiFi connection was a nightmare as the signal was not strong enough in the room and I got constantly disconnected

Pictures are a bit misleading. Room is shaby as though Staycity have added bits of wood to what was a run down block of apartments. The wardrobe was falling apart and shared space with the mop and broom. Wifi did not reach the rooms so useless and the car park is not really designed for anything larger than a compact car. Illumination did not work in the stairwell and access was quite dangerous. I would neither recommend nor stay here again, a shame considering Staycity Birmingham is so amazing.

Small things;no tea towel,breadboard etc. Reception told but roomhelp did not follow up. Cupboard doors nearly falling off. Just in need of a maintenance & sprucing up session.

Heating was good.

Poor quality shower. Kettle didn't work.

Everything was very efficient, the staff helpful and the room did what it said on the tin.

Very convenient location, 4 minutes walk from metro station. Useful Kitchenette so you can save some money as Paris is very expensive for food and beverages. Friendly staff

For the studios/apartments, they just clean every 2-3 days (or after departure) so if you run out of towels you may have to chase housekeepers.

Location was good

Not as clean as the pictures shown by far, wall paper coming off the walls and cupboard doors hanging off. They have Wifi but you have to the reception to get it to work as signal is so weak,. Very noisy outside and non too warm!

It has been difficult for me to find the hotel, I had to call reception. Good location.

As always, the staff at the hotel were great sympathy. Perfectly located. Again I was in this hotel and could not identify some situations described in some commentaries. The place is perfectly safe. I would strongly recommend.

Convenient close to International and local train stations, especially trains to cdg airport, many shops & restaurants around lot of high end and low budget shops Nice clean rooms, especially if you prefer to cook yourself this is the best in town, microwave, induction cooker, small fridge, every basic things there

Location is opposite of the main road and not easy to find the alley, not many people There and some migrant workers or east Europeans usually hang around but looks safe bit expensive but it is depend

i saw some young men doing drugs just by the main entrance at night the evening person was not nice and took my passport because i couldnt pay the same night for the next 4 nights i booked as my collegues was gonna pay with the company's card. i don't think that is professional at all !! especially that the payment is covered by the card we made the booking with in booking.com

The proximity to train station and good for exploring by foot many interesting sights of Paris. The apartment clean and comfortable, perfect for a short break and knowing there was always a friendly face on reception if we needed to ask any questions.

Prep your own food and re-heat your food, you can do some easy cooking, there is a small market shop by the red light. pretty close to metro

It's a serviced apartment, you have to do cleaning yourself.

Very friendly and helpful staff, and a great value for money. Location is great too as the hotel is in close proximity to several Metro stations.

Good location if you travel by trains. No trafic noise.

We had good expectations about the hotel based on the reviews from other travelers at booking.com. The positive points are (1) nearby Gare de l'est, perfect public transport facilities (2) good neighborhood, other reviews bothered about the ‘junkies’ in around the building, from one way you pass them but from the other way you can outrun them if you want (3) employees were very kind, we parked our car the last day till 5 pm for free, had to check out at 11 and (4) in the evenings the place was quiet and the beds are okay, definitely for the price related to the quality. For a good price you have a good stay, if you want to be on your room for longer period of your stay I would recommend another (more expensive) hotel.

Parking spot was good but if you can also read in other recommendation quiet small (its ok for cars up to Audi a4 / bmw 3). The bathroom was not very luxury, the hand shower can’t be mounted at the wall so you have to hold it, furthermore the douche was constipated (we booked a 2 person studio). We didn’t use the kitchenette, but it was good with a freezer, some cooking equipment.

I found the two gentlemen at the front desk extremely helpful and professional. Thank you to them! The apartment was comfortable and spacious enough. Dining table was a good size, and room was warm and quiet. Lots of hot water. It was serviced well. It was in an interesting location -esp to be near the Canal.

Black mould on some of the bathroom tiles. Both sides of the bed need a bedside table, not just one side. The lighting was not very good - need a lamp for the dining table.
