Only two good things: The hotel is located in Petite France and was just a few minutes' walk in either direction to delightful areas. There was one staff member who was extremely helpful, waiting up for our late arrival, carrying our heavy suitcases up the several flights of stairs and insisting on bringing hot water in a jug to our room himself. He was the only good thing about the hotel itself. Where do I start? The room was shabby. The cover on the double bed had stains over it that we didn't want to investigate. The mattress was so bouncy that we had to take it off and sleep on the floor. The ensuite was so tiny that you hit your elbows when trying to dry yourself. The shower curtain wrapped itself around you during each shower and the nozzle sprayed water into the bathroom rather than the shower recess. Having a shower was like doing battle. The reception was closed each day between 11.00 & 4pm. No hot water was available and no option to store your own food. No-one emptied the rubbish bins or did any room service. No laundry facilities & dodgy Wi-fi connection. No lift. It was a very low-quality backpacker stopover.

Perfect City location. Beautifully located in a little side street. Very friendly staff. We were running late and the owner posted his number on the main door so we could contact him and left our room unlocked and ready for our arrival

Price Free wifi in the room Friendly staff Central location Recommended only if you are looking for a cheap place to stay for a couple of days and all you need is a bed and a bathroom Room too small Plugs and lights didn't work Problems with hot water Noise from the corridors and rooms Be careful: the central door closes and you have to remember the code, we forgot it and spent a quarter ringing the bell but no response, fortunately a client finally opened it as he was leaving!

The price was relatively low in comparison with other hotels. It has a very good location in the centre of Strasbourg and near Petite France. Although the price was low, I would have expected the rooms to be cleaner. The carpet was very dusty and with spots on it (of old vomit?). The bed was very low, and almost just a mattress on the floor. Blankets were dusty and had cigarette marks on them.

Very nice staff, English spoken. Cool old house in perfect downtown location. No backup toilet paper in shared bathroom. Not very clean bathroom, noisy plastic shower. Blanket was rather thin. Generally, the hotel equipment was not in a well maintained state - ok for sleeping only but not more. I felt it is a pity not to make more out of this nice house.

Friendly and helpful desk man, who offered to carry my suitcase up to my room, as there is no elevator; location among quiet back streets in city center; decent value for money; adequately-sized desk; extra blanket, which compensates somewhat for lack of heat (see below). No heat on a chilly October night; 5 cm gap at top of low door of shared bathroom lets anyone slightly tall look right in.

The hotel is very well located close to major touristic sites and in a very quiet area. Stuff in the room is old and not well maintained.

There was a young man working the desk who was quite helpful and friendly. He also spoke fluent english, which was comforting for us as non-french speakers The beds were a bit uncomfortable and there were holes in the sheets.

The staff were pleasant and helpful when they were there. The location was simply lovely. We were left with a blocked toilet overnight as there are no staff on duty to deal with it, and the person we managed to contact by phone was not prepared to do anything. We were offered a reduction off our bill of the cost of one breakfast. I did not like the lack of staff at most times there was no one on duty.

Most i liked the friendly people at the reception :-) I got immediately a map for strasbourg and they offered me to give me any tip for sightseeings/restaurants/etc... Beside that i just love the location of the hotel - i never needed public transport. From the trainstation to the hotel i maybe needed 20 minutes. The area from the hotel seemed to be safe, so I wasn't worried about going alone to this place :-) I will go there again! :-) It was pretty simple there but still I enjoyed my stay.

Location of the hotel is quite impressive for those who enjoy city walk. The old building is charm and urge imagination. Even the hotel is in town center, we found it a quiet place to rest at night. Need to maintain facilities especially things that seemed broken or ready to broke. The sharing space like stairs and reception are charming old but would be better if they are intense cleaned.

Traditional old house in the city of Strasbourg. Historical furniture. Perfect place to stay: You are in the middle of the city, have a very good, nice room and frindly staff - and you can use the spare money you do not need for the hotel for other nice things!

I loved the location and the staff. Tradition feel was great as well. Furniture could use some upgrading but for my family's budget and the location of everything being walking distance not bad. Plus we spent most of our time out in the town that we just used the facility to bathe and sleep.

It's right in the center, close to everything The clerk on arrival was nice, but not very useful. She had absolutely no idea about parking, so I had to search myself in the city. The shower needed some repairs, and the shower curtain was torn up in some places. The 3rd bed was really small and uncomfortable.

The prices are very low, nonetheless the hotel is really a good option. Located inside the old town, the bedrooms with shower are really ok. It was my second time in this hotel this year. The first time the INternet was slow, this time it was normal.

The only thing enjoyable about that hotel was the location and being in a hotel that old in that area of the city. Overall it is not worth 50 Euro´s per night. Should be classified as a backpackers, not a hotel. The stairs are very loud, there is no service. I had been there for 2 nights before I actually met a staff member.
