Pavillon de Montmartre

It was next door to a hostel type hotel called plug in which from what we could gather was full of travellers in dorms who were right outside your window till 5am smoking and shouting.........

We were booked into Pavillon de Montmatre but, due to a booking error, were upgraded to an apartment overlooking Sacre Coeur. The hotel (not the apartment) is a five minute walk from Pigalle Metro station, away from the (sometimes seedy) Boulevard de Clichy and very much in the Montmatre district. I didn't catch the receptionists name but she spoke fantastic English and seeing as we were trying to sort out a booking error was very helpful with prompting from Booking.com.

It appears the hotel did not raise issues with our booking despite confirming it initially. It seems they were happy to take other bookings without sorting ours out. However, with two rather tired poor-French speaking tourists turning up expecting an en-suite double to refresh in they did sort out a room for three nights with relatively little fuss.

The hotel was very close to the main attractions in the area (Sacre Coeur, Place du Tertre & Moulin Rouge). The location was also convenient -- close to the Metro, different types of eateries, bars, and they are usually open late. Staff was very friendly. Our room key had to be turned into the front desk, I guess for security purposes. We didn't mind at all. I didn't have to worry about losing the key. The room is smaller than what I expected but we didn't spend a lot of time in our room. We slept and showered and we were off to see the city. Overall a great experience! Thanks!

The hotel is 4 minutes away from 2 lines of the metro which is very comfortable. Please note that you would still need to change the line in order to get to the centre. 7 minutes away from Sacre Coeur and 4 minutes from Moulin Rouge. There are lots of cafes, wine bars, pubs, and small restaurants relatively not expensive. Very quite during the night as all rooms are facing the inner courtyard. Breakfast for Euro 6 per person is ok.

Slight noise when someone is flashing in the bathroom of the room next to yours.

A great location ,convenient for the Metro and many local restaurants and bars.Near to many sight seeing attractions. Reasonable,clean room.

The price and central location

Nope. All was ok

Very central from the point of view of Montmartre, close to the Sacré Coeur and many eateries of all nationalities.

The lavatory bowl in our bathroom had a very high water level and the po rcelain was yellowish, as if stained with urine. The flush was sluggish, which may have caused a build-up; a strong person with an ample supply of bleach could have worked wonders. The breakfast was very basic: cheap muesli, plain yogurt, bread, croissants (they kept having to replenish these and they were not warmed), jams, orange juice...We live in France and often stay in hotels, which in general make more effort to please other nationalities by providing cold meats, cheese and fresh fruit. We took our son and his American girlfriend to Paris and they had the room next door. I fear they were not impressed.

Great place, great price

Small rooms, no iron, no comfortable shower, just bathtub without a curtain. But everything is fine for a short stay.

The location was perfect and the room was clean.

The decoration in our room (17) was very tired, with wallpaper coming away from the walls. A rather depressing room. Nowhere near as good as other hotels we have stayed at in Paris for around the same price.

I have stayed at a number of budget hotels in Paris and this was the best in my experience. Wonderful location and value.

Väldigt litet rum.

Hôtel parfait pour passer 2-3 jours à Paris. Exellente situation ( Montmartre- Pigalle). Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes ( du moins dans notre aile) mais propres. Nombreux restaurant-café aux alentours à des prix raisonables.

Muy bien ubicado en el barrio de Montmatre, muy tranquilo x la noche, se descansa, ambiente agradable. Habitacion pequeña pero suficiente para descansar y buen lavabo privado. Muchas terrazas para tomar algo, supers y moulan rouge a una calle. Lo recomiendo totalmente, puede ser caor respecto a otros hoteles pero no sabes lo q t puedes encontrar x menos en Paris, fuimos por recomendación de unos amigos.

No hay cortinilla en la ducha...pero tampoco es algo a tener en cuenta xq despues te dejan el lavabo como nuevo.
