We have stayed here before and liked the quirkyness of the rooms and furniture and now even with the difficullty of the Hotels refurbishment (not before time some would say!) the hotel staff were welcoming and freindly at all times..our room was good the bed comfortable and the sheets crisp and white...the bathroom was good, clean and the towels were good and fresh daily, they have new flat screen TV's with English channels. The breakfast room was as we rememebered it but with less choice than before (I think the managment had taken account of some negative comments posted recently about the food) We wonder how the newly refurbished hotel will look? We will come back next year to see and hope it manages to hold on to its Parisienne charm. Good luck Pavillon Pereire Arc de Triomphe..we think you must be closed by now..thank you for our stay to see the Tour de France for another year !
OK the hotel was noisy with builders but not at the weekend and not until 8am, the lift had been used to transport some rubble. so the carpet and walls were a little dusty..however we saw it being cleaned as best as it could be. There was scaffolding up so our front room view was blocked with builders netting but to be expected when they are trying to keep the hotel running and completely rip the guts out of it....sadly we saw the quirky fitted furniture being removed from some upstairs rooms on our last day sadly it will probably turn up in a French Antiques market somewhere. C'est la Vie!
Location, coffee aparat, bathroom
no conditioning, cold water ending, fasad's workers from 8 a.m. Restoration of fasad now is beganing.
I only liked the staff at reception, which was my only human contact there.
I did not like the room, which had no air conditioning, had a warm mini- bar with no drinks a price list and wallpaper falling off the wall. I did not like to have to take a cold shower on my last day. When I complained the answer I received at reception was the hotel is very full. Everybody must had+e taken a shower! This is the 21st century and the hotel is in Paris, in a very good neighbourhood in Paris, I should say, and they have the nerve to make me pay full price for a room when they didn't even offer warm water. I am disgusted keep away from this dump!
Lumpy, sagging mattress, dirty pillows, dirty bedspread with hole, late wake-up call, very poor breakfast.
Friendly reception staff. Quieter location. Proximity to the Metro.
1 - The photographs on the Internet were all we had to go on for the booking and they were clearly retouched in comparison with the real thing. 2 - The room was incredibly small, with two narrow single beds moved together to make a very small double. The bathroom door opened into the bedroom - against the bed. There was only just enough space for one person to walk sideways around the bed to get about the room. 3 - The room itself was very far from clean. The bins were emptied daily and the beds made up but there was heavy dust in all the corners and thick black mould under the bathroom sink shelf. 4 - The bathroom was only just functional. The toilet was supported with a chunk of wood, the flush was coming away from the wall and there was no plug in the handbasin. The bath would not drain. 5 - Breakfast. Offered in the basement. Stale coffee in a keep-warm jug, orange liquid clearly from a plastic carton and croissants the like of which I have never seen before. 6 - The Hotel is apparently under new Management. This may possibly explain why we were woken in the mornings by loudly chattering workmen covering the carpets with plastic sheeting and masking tape, sawing, hammering and drilling and clumping up and down the stairwell, which is an architctural feature of the Hotel which intrudes into the room we were accommodated in. No-one mentioned this activity was going to be happening during our stay. Yes - the work definitely needs to be done but we both returned home exhausted and unhappy after our long-planned and saved for "Holiday" in Paris. Dreadful.
Checking out in the morning
1. Value for money 2. Poor standard of the room 3. No tea and coffee as stated in the write up. 4. No mini bar as stated in the write up. 5. Poor lighting 6. Rooms are old dated, broken furniture 7. No table / work area to use a laptop 8. Photos of room can be sent to Booking. com 9. This hotel is not worth 188 euros a night 10. Had to sleep on top of the bed as the bed was dirty 11. Had to sleep with the french doors open as the room smelt. 12. Wallpaper coming off the walls 13. Dirty walls 14. I can keep going on, but was told that the hotel as just been taken over by a new owner and a complete refurbish is due in September, but that does not allow for the fact that the hotel have advertised a room with extras and they where not available on arrival late in the evening. Would like to see some compensation for this stay.
Great hotel if you are on a budget.
Is not so close from the arc of Triomphe, you have to walk a lot. Pretty old hotel. If you are on a budget is ok.
Check in Room 406 the wall between the sink and the mirror above: It is totally molded! It is simply disgusting! And there is no excuse: this place is easy to access and you cannot look beside it. I do not dare to think about places which are less accessible and visible ....
Looked good but had a power cut and could not accommodate us. Arranged a taxi to another hotel which was fine and actually closer to the attractions of Paris.
Unfortunate power cut
Locatipn is really good. Staff eere very helpful with us. Definitely recommend it.
Service of staff only
Place and information of place is very wrong
Good value for money. Nice and confy room, a little old but it is Paris, and pretty close to center. The personel was very nice and helpful, it was easy to communicate in English.
Excellent location, get exactly what you've paid for. Hotel met our expectations. Quiet and safe neighborhood, good connections with major attractions.
Uncomfortable beds. Room could have been much cleaner.
Very good value for money - for a 2 night stay it cost me more to eat out in Paris than the cost of the hotel. It is not the Hilton, but perfectly clean and comfortable. I would use again without hesitation. It also had one of the best showers I think I have ever used!
Breakfast was a bit limited, and no English channels on the TV.
The staff was very kindle, helps you with any problem. The rooms was clean and you can also make a coffee or a couple of tea. The hotel is close to arc de triomphe and champs elysees, even walking. It was a nice place with good position, comfortable rooms at a small price in comparative with other hotels with this position.
Like very much the staff were friendly helpfull, excellent also they were always there when you need them I really go back there next time if I need to
The hotel , the rooms, were. Very small not comfortable no wifi for the money we paid wasn't fair I hope they will repair and fix too many fault despite all I really like to go back
Staff were really helpful
No wifi in the room
location is very good. metro is 6 min by foot.
Good Location in a safe feeling area, near to shops and restaurants, and a walkable distance to the main sites if you are fit. Lovely Room, although a little tatty. Well Equipped.
Although we asked for a 'Room as high up as possible', we were given a ground floor room next to reception and the lift, and next to the street. Therefore, everyone entering and exiting the hotel had to stand outside our door and use the lift (which was noisy in or room). Also every time anyone used the bathroom, it sounded as though they were showering in our room. The street was not too noisy, but the people in the next room were very noisy. On our last night when the noisy people had left, there was a lot less noise. However, when the staff came in on Monday morning at about 5a.m. to restock for breakfast, even ear plugs could not hold out the loud banging, and constant use of the lift.
Clean room and bath, working gadgets. Very cheerful and helpful staff. Hotel close to Metro, even a walking distance to Eiffel Towers!!! A nice place, stayed for 10 days...
Unfortunately no WiFi in the rooms, but in the passage and stairway. This could be improved.
If you stay in the hotel, you may go to popular places by bus or metro. The room was small, but everything in it.
Don't believe the hotel was either in Palais de Congres or Arc de Triomphe. We've struggled to find the hotel during the 3 hours as they have stated non-real adress information just to give the people the feeling that the hotel is close to Champs Elysee.Even the french people didn't direct us to the hotel.
We stayed for four nights. On the last day of our stay, I left my room at around 11 am and got back sometime after 1 pm. The room was made but there were no towels in the bathroom except for one floor towel. I went down to inform the front office and was told that he would inform the maid. Later on one maid came but to replenish one coffee and two tea bags in the room. When asked about the towels, she said it was not her duty but she would inform the other maid who never showed up with any towels. I left the hotel for dinner a little before 6 pm after informing the front office that I still did not get any towels and would personally pick them up later that evening. Back to the hotel around 10 pm, I went to the front office and asked for the towels but the night shift was not informed at all! He went to get some towels and gave to me. But it was not until I finished my sower that I noticed all the towels given to me were floor towels! I asked my wife to go down and get the towels that people used to dry their bodies not their feet. There was none! The front office even said that they looked clean enough! I had to use my own small handkerchief that night! Would anybody use the hotel floor towel to dry their hair, face or body???
Nice, helpful staff. Originally, we booked 3 person room, but hotel offered 2 rooms (1 person and 2 person) instead.
A bit dusty in the room, although beds and towels were clean and fresh.
