Morlaix is a small town with an abundance of cobbled streets...
Morlaix is a small town with an abundance of cobbled streets, medieval buildings, a river marina and a magnificent 19th century Viaduct being it's centre piece, all within easy walking distance. There's an abundance of traditional Tabac's, Cafes, Patisserie's and Restaurants catering for all tastes. Le Grand Cafe de La Terrasse at 31 place des Otages is worth of a particular mention. The town is an ideal centre from which to tour the delights of Brittany with its friendly and hospitable local population.

Morlaix is a beautiful medieval city that offers so much, sightseeing, shopping, incredible food. Most incredible was the proximity to the Brittany coast. A short bus ride away (bus stop right across the street from Duc de Bretagne), the coast and seaside towns were so beyond beautiful. I could not imagine a more peaceful place that offers so much opportunity for outdoor activity. I will return soon and often.

Very walkable town, very clean, interesting buildings/history. Good reataurants, fromageries & patisseries. Multiple restaurants in close proximity to accommodation. Taxis are non existent. Bus system hard to access. Nothing to avoid.

It is a bustling, friendly multi cultural town with an iconic viaduct which you can walk up to (if you have the energy). There is a port with small boats, walks, a helpful tourist office and lots of free parking. Eating out is easy.

Other Morlaix hotels are down a long hill and are more challenging to reach with luggage. This is a newer facility and is in a quiet setting away from the traffic noise of Morlaix. The host helped us carry our luggage up their stairs. The breakfast was very nice with homemade fruit spreads for assorted breads and a crepe, fresh fruit, and yogurt. The rooms are large. We felt welcome and had a comfortable stay.

Lovely apartment over two floors, with a nice functional courtyard out the back! (Great for relaxing outside with wine and cheese after a long day! Good functional kitchen. Comfortable bed. However, if you have mobility problems, this may not be the place for you. The stairs are steep. Also, the bedrooms are on the lower floor, while the toilet is upstairs. Could be tricky if you 'need to go to the toilet' during the night.
