Location, ideal for exploring Chambery and close car parking. Friendliness of staff. Very comfortable bed

Not room that we believed we had booked. Very overpriced menu. Main Shower not hot enough,had to use hand shower No comfortable seating Inadequate air con. Overpriced for what we got!

Everything, this place is the nicest hotel that I have ever stayed in (and I have stayed in alot of them). The manageress showed us to our room and explained how everything worked. It was very nice of her to communicate in English as my French is ok but her English is very good. The apartment was clean and superbly appointed with a gel fire between the two bedrooms. The breakfast was expensive but the bread was devine!

We ran out of hot water for my youngest son's shower, although he was the fourth person in the shower that morning.

Everything. The hotel, room, location, proprietors ...very warm and err ...French. All in all a magical experience.

The fact that I couldn't stay longer due to other commitments.

We stayed in a junior suite and it was an unusual and comfortable room. It had an ipod dock, spotlights, mattress toppers, bathrobes- everything for a relaxing stay. All fittings were good quality, and I especially liked the hangers which were loose, so I didn't feel like a suspected thief! This is a very luxurious hotel and the staff go out of their way to be helpful. The sofa bed was made up for us every evening and put away in the morning, and yes, there were chocolates on the pillow! I would love to stay here again and recommend it to people who don't mind paying a bit extra for comfort and luxury.

True to its name the hotel is tricky to find. Look for No. 10 above the iron gate and you won't go wrong.

It would be extremely difficult to flaw Petit Hotel Confidentiel. Room with a great bed (in size and comfort), tasty breakfast served in the room, luxury features such as Loewe TV set and a funky ipod dock, fast wifi. Above all that, I will put service with warmth and smile.

This lovely little gem of a hotel is located within the old town, but still very close (easy walking distance) to the train station. It's quite different from more traditional hotels with foyers and public spaces, breakfast rooms, restaurants etc. Petit Hotel has none of these, but I saw this as a definite positive in that privacy, peace and quiet are in abundance. It has quite a magical 'cocooning' feel about it, and this is certainly enhanced by the wonderfully warm welcome and service given by the concierge Charlotte and her husband Jerome throughout our stay. The room itself felt spacious although not overly large, but it had everything one could want... Barfridge, coffee/ tea making facilities, free wifi, ample wardrobe space, sound-dock and a flatscreen tv (with watchable channels!). The bed was huge and very comfortable, and even the bedlinen felt gorgeous. The shower 'room' was just that... I think Charlotte said it was 4 square metres. It certainly felt quite luxurious to relax under the double rain-shower heads in that enormous space, and then wrap myself in a big fluffy bathrobe. Parking was surprisingly cheap (35 eur/ 6 nights), and conveniently close to the hotel, really just next door, in a secure parking station. As Chambery is situated so close to Annecy, Aix le Bain, Chamonix etc, I found Petit Hotel to be an ideal base from which to venture out each day, and to come home to each night. I will definitely return!

Beautiful room! Nicest one on our trip through France. We got in late after having car trouble and the concierge asked if we had eaten dinner yet. We said no and he promptly called a restaurant and made a reservation for us ... Great service!

There was not one specific think that I can say I liked about the hotel, as everything was really lovely, neat and the staff where extremely friendly. Loved the place and will definitely go back!!!

The design of the room was lovely,beautifully clean and very well equipped with tea and coffee,towels,toiletries etc.Very well positioned for the historic part of Chambery and its shops cafe's restaurants etc..

The only negative for this beautiful place is it's lack of parking right outside,it just makes unloading in the rain a bit of a pain.Parking is available nearby in public carparks,but when you have a family and alot of luggage it's annoying.

This hotel was a big surprise due to its unique rooms and luxurious facilities, I don't think you can get anywhere else something so nice for that price. The room we stayed in, had a lot of space and up to date facilities from flat screen with over 300 channels to an modern radio with iPod dock. One of the highlights was the shower!! I have never seen something like this in an hotel before, a waterfall shower where you could easily fit 4 people inside! However the room was very clean and newly renovated with modern and matching furniture. The service was very friendly and caring. I can absolutely recommend that hotel to anyone!!!!!

The hotel is not really accessible by car and a little bit hard to find. But this should not be a hesitation to visit this absolutely phenomenal and beautiful hotel in chambery.

Tout, je suis rester émerveiller devant cette si belle chambre.

Dit kleine hotelletje had je over het hoofd gezien, maar eenmaal binnen erg knus, persoonlijk en met smaak ingericht. Onze kamer, juniorsuite verdeeld over 3 etages, is origineel en bijzonder stijlvol ingedeeld. Heerlijk bed en smakelijk à la carte ontbijt!

Wij waren al 3x langs gelopen, zonder het hotel als zodanig te herkennen. Let op het huisnummer 10!
