Pietracap20 Route De San Martino-Pietranera, 20200 Bastia (Show map) Very good, Score from 216 reviews“Wonderful position overlooking the sea. Swimming pool was a wow. The room we stayed in was luxurious. We wish we could have stayed longer. If we visit Corsica again we would certainly want to stay here. We were disappointed we could only stay one night. It's in a perfect setting and a hotel we could really relax in. The spaciousness and balcony were wonderful”

The mattress of the bed was dead, not really acceptable for that class of hotel. I asked to have it changed for the second night, they said they will do something, and they did nothing. Breakfast was especially expensive, we did not even tried it.

All the staff were very helpful and spoke English (rare in Corsica). The setting of the hotel couldn't have been nicer and we immediately received an upgrade at check-in - not sure why, but it was wonderful. One of the very best perks was that there was free parking right at the hotel - also rare in Corsica. We couldn't have hoped for a better experience. Plus - they allowed us to check in a day later than reserved without penalty. I cannot think of anything negative to say about this hotel and it's stafff. If anything, the breakfast was expensive. But it was good.

The hotel is wonderful, the room very nice, the bathroom is big. Breakfast was perfect, close to' the Sea and to the beach. It has also a very nice swimming pool in acwonderful garden full of flowers and trees. The only bad thing: mosquitos in the swimming pool area and in the garden.

Hotel staff was reliable and friendly. The room for two people is very comfortable, I especially liked the balcony where you can sit down and look at the beautiful view. The bathroom was modern and well equipped, the bedroom was very comfortable. The internet was slow in the evenings, but it may depend in which room you are.

Hotel was in a beautiful location and was very well kept. the room had a balcony overlooking the sea and sunrise, ideal for breakfast. Bathroom exceptionally clean and restocked every day. A very pleasant hotel in which to stay. We were there for one week. Easily found from the ferry port, good parking. The staff were very 'Corsican' rather abrupt and offhand. They also had difficulty in admitting that anything was not functioning properly. Made some rather moronic suggestions as to the cause !

Hotel is extremely comfortable and a relaxing base for a holiday. Pool was perfect. It's possible to walk into Bastia for restaurants but a long walk to do daily- about 30 minutes so a car is probably needed - or as we did, hire a bike. I'd definitely recommend the hotel.

Good room facilities, balcony with furniture and a great view . Not really a complaint, just to note that you need a car to stay here, 3 km from the city cbd and there are no local restuarants

Beautifully situated, with magnificent views of the sea, an exquisite garden (both visible from our lovely terrace) and a very nice pool which to our surprise was actually not very crowded most of the time. The breakfast is very good, tho slightly pricey, and the staff gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants in Bastia. We also very much admired the many artworks displayed, which we were told were the work of the owners' son, whom we were very sorry to learn had died relatively young. The only thing it is lacking is a restaurant, and if you do not have a car, it's a bit difficult to get to Bastia for lunch and/or dinner, as taxis are a bit unreliable, while the only local pizzeria was not very inspiring. We also found our room to be completely adequate, though certainly not "vast" as we had seen it described. Perhaps other rooms in the hotel may be larger?

The setting: surrounded by flowers and green with a view of the Med. The quietness. The fresh fruit salad for breakfast. The nice pool. The easy parking. The hip 70's look. One needs a car to go to Bastia but that is not an issue.

Modern, clean and fresh hotel, tastefully furnished. Set a little way up road from coast giving excellent views over the sea to Elba and Capri from bedroom verandas, particularly from the higher rooms. Clean, spacious, colourful and well manicured gardens. Well sited terrace with swimming pool, all maintained to a high standard with adjacent showering and changing facilities. Breakfast on terrace or in air conditioned dining room. Buffet style breakfasts very good ( fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit salads, ham, cheese, bread rolls, croissants, jams, including excellent home made marmalade from oranges grown in hotel gardens, bolied eggs, choice of coffees and teas. Very relaxing and quiet in May . Would definitely recommend this hotel. Location is a little way up a relatively narrow and winding road therefore no coastal location. No restaurant for evening meal dispite a little isolation from coastal shops and restaurants. Nearest restaurant short walk or a few minutes car journey away, ok going down but walking back up after meal + wine not so good.!! Breakfast expensive @ 15 euros / person. Would imagine some difficulty with parking in height of season.
