The hotel is located in a lovely old building in the centre of Paris, conveniently located next to the Métro station. The building is also not at located directly on the streetside, but just behind another building, so that the noise from the very busy traffic is not audible in the room. Generally, facilities (bed, shower...) are very good. We were on the third floor without any lift, so had to do several flights of stairs to reach our room. Moreover, since the building is very old, none of the steps are fully horizontal or even the same size, which makes it a difficult climb for elderly or disabled people. |

Staff friendly; room very small, but clean; location convenient; second and third floors would be manageable. 5th floor was impossible (and we are fit). The 87 crazy stairs (yes, we counted; none were wide enough to accomodate an entire foot and most were not level) were a real barrier not only for carrying almost anything up (gracious staff were available to help when we arrived, but not when we departed), but also to returning for a brief rest in middle of a day of touring. No services on the 5th floor (i.e., capacity to heat water for coffee/tea), heightened the disadvantage of the stairs. Staff willing to heat water at reception desk, but who would be crazy enough to return to the room to drink? Finally, as the stairs are the only exit, I couldn't help wondering about what would happen in an emergency. Nice people, really challenging facility. |

The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was excellent. We were on a cruise prior to our stay and had a great deal of luggage. I would have liked to know ahead of time that the facility did not have an elevator/lift so I might have requested a room on a lower floor. Getting our bags up and down the tiny spiral staircase was, interesting! |

Extremely noisy, very small rooms located on a street with a lot of traffic and people passing by whole night long (windows have simple glass and even ear plugs don't help -->couldn't sleep at all!), very small rooms, no safe in rooms. Very bad value for money... this hotel was a one time experience... |

in centre of Paris, fair price, 24/7 presence of staff. possibility of checking out and storing your luggage for the day obviously the five stairs we had to climb, but that was a conscious choice. no problem |

we liked location, close to city center and metro station, free stable wifi access, possible check-in before official check-in time and late check out, 24 hours reception, baggage storage room, long breakfast time very small room (app. 6sq. meters for 2 people), noise from corridor through the door, when somebody was passing our door, very steep uneven stairs, no lift, but no problem for young people, limited choice of breakfast offer, in case of open window there was big noise from busy street |

It is extremely well located, at the end of the Rue de Rivoli and next to the Metro Saint Paul. It is in the heart of the Marais, which is a very lively area. We were able to return to the hotel 24 hours a day. The communal areas are fairly dirty, and the rooms are very small. |

The location was good-in Marais, Metro stop in front of the hotel. Very noisy. Air conditioning did not work. No elevator. Very narrow winding staircase--fortunately I just had a carry-on bag, have no idea how a large suitcase would get upstairs. |

A clean room at a convenient location for my purposes No elevator and extremely uncomfortable stairs to get to the 5th floor. Broken airco and therefore had to leave the window open to a very noisy busy street. |

Location excellent, the room was beautiful, bathroom clean and functional and no residual bathroom smell. The room looked over the main street, but even though you thought it would be loud, it was quiet with the windows closed. Why there was ai-rconditioning, a major plus in a small hotel in Paris and it was first class a/c The stairs are too steep for older clients with knee/joint problems and unfortunately the previous person in the room must have smoked so it permeated the room |

the staff was pretty nice and hospitable.able to communicate well in english and quite helpful as well.however as mentioned by previous guests, the stairs in the hotel were very steep and narrow.there are no lifts.imagine trying to get your laugage up to the 4th floor! but the location of the hotel was superb though. |

Room was clean. Internet access constant. It was a bit cold and no heating was on, though it is june. I did however get an extra blanket. The stairs are really narrow...but i had already been warned about that. Though I was happy I had a light suitcase...the stairs are a bit on the dangerous side. |
