proximity to centre of Paris Helpful reception clean room thoughtful provision of air conditioning unit although it was noisy
Staircase very steep no lift room cramped Awkward access to room with heavy bag. Feeling that the building was constructed in an alleyway between two existing buildings
- neatness/cleaness - geographical situation - presence of all necessary utilities in the room - comfortable bed and shower
- 5th floor - no elevator
Great Location. Located outside metro Saint Paul.
The stairs are quite steep and dangerous. No elevator
Stairs a nightmare with luggage....ac non functional....geysar conked off......bad experience
The awkward stair case The cleanliness The location
The cigarettes butts collection on my window (a detail) The corridor light entering in my room (but I used a towel)
Location, location, location. Nice, clean and surprisingly quiet. Also, good value for money, if you have in mind the usual standard of Paris hotels :).
The staircase is rather narrow, so can be difficult if one has lots of luggage.
The staff was very friendly and helpfull
The stairs was for rock climbers.
Stairs was very very dangerous with no fire escape
Oposite Metro station St.Paul
Incredible small staircase without any elevator! Nothing for large suitcases and elderly people.
The metro is located right in front of the hotel and there are plenty of places to eat on the street. The staff were nice, helpful and polite.
Very old building and although they tried to update there are things that need to be torn down and redone. The stairs were a horror as they turned and due to age were indented making it very risky to bring up and down the stairs luggage as they have no lift.
The location and the staffs were very friendly and helpfull
No sign of Hotel in front. The stair was very stiff. The room was very small and especially the bathroom. No air conditioning in the summer
The location and the behavior of the staff was good.
narrow stairs, not having elevator, no slippers, the door of the toilet was standing on the back (not open completely), not having refrigerator
Location, friendly staff
Cramped rooms, sink drain stuck shut, very dusty common areas (but room was clean).
People and location, staff.
Too expensive for the facilities and cleanliness provided.
Friendly staff, amazing location, lovely bistro with hilarious staff right beside (l'Éléphant du Nil)
No lift and we were on 6th floor, but the location more than made up for it
Extremely helpful and accommodating staff, good location, very pleasant stay!
The location was excellent, right in the middle of everything and only a metre away from the St-paul metro.
the hotel wasn't exactly like the pictures on booking.com, much smaller rooms.
This has got to be one of the worst hotels that I've EVER stayed in. Just generally unclean, old and very worn out, bad design, bad functionality. There is a huge ventilation issue between the bathrooms/rooms. Some rooms are smoking therefore the smell of smoke just moves through the rooms. It was like someone was sitting smoking in my bathroom. Just disgusting. It is a real shame as the building has the potential to be a super cool small hip hotel due to its location to the Marais and the availability of design in Paris. Small does not necessarily mean bad. Mama Shelter has small rooms but designed incredibly well. I would not recommend this hotel. For €125 per night there are much better hotels in the neighbourhood for the same price, if not cheaper
We have been there for our honeymoon. First nobody from hotel didn't answer on our mail about transfer from airport(we were first time in France)and booking room in style which we like. Then nobody help us to pick our luggage to the third floor in those smallest steps in the world. When we asked there to take iron for our wedding dresses, they said, that we must iron it on a first floor close to reception(wedding dress)!!!!in the end, the photo from web-site it's just a good job of photographer, because in real those rooms looks very bad.
Excellent position in front of Saint Paul's metro
Rooms at the 6th floor
is not what is on their web site , not lived up to the expectation
Good location, in the city center and metro at 50 meters. Clean room, decent bathroom. Very friendly staff that speaks English well.
Wifi connection was a bit intermittent, quite small stairs to get up with a lot of luggage. But that's Paris.
Wifi and location
Room was so tiny and fifth floor without elevator was not so fun
Great location value accommodation. Staff very helpful when in difficulty. Spoke english. Hotel had lots of character, not luxury but plenty of style. Perfect for walking around Paris sightseeing.
No major problems or dislikes. Unless I was forced to stay in the hotel room for long periods, due to ill health or some other reason would have preferred more luxury. But then we went to sightsee not sit in a hotel room!
Stairs up to rooms.. Health and safety risk
