The lady that ran the operation is very friendly and helpful and speak good English. Good breakfast.
Staff was great, spent a long time telling where to go and how to get there. English was ok, not great, but she tried really hard. Her husband does not speak as much english. Arles is quiet but the walking around is awesome anyway. Top veranda was very nice as well
Older hotel, was part of the charm but some people are picky. Wifi is free and actually decent, but not very fast. They close up at night so you have to have a keycode to come and go. You can wake them up in an emergency though, they stay there.
everything was perfect! free parking, very clean, situated in the old house, good price, perfect breakfast
close to the attractions
Everything was excellent
The Hotel in General
The Shower in room 18. It is elevated say 25cm, I found I had to exercise real caution in squeezing through the sliding door and descending without slipping ! It was a concern !
Good location away from central tourist crowds, but a short walk over the bridge.
Lack of tea or coffee facilities, apart from breakfast time.
The Hotel Porte de Camargue is located on a quiet street. The room was roomy and comfortable and tastefully decorated. It is located within easy walking distance of the train station and all the monuments and museums connected to Van Gogh. We found some wonderful restaurants with awesome service.
Location - close to old town Parking - free Breakfast - good, for France Sleep - quiet and sound Staff - cheerful and helpful
I liked everything about it. Our room was a twin and had French doors overlooking the tile roofs of the nearby houses. It was only one block from the Rhone River and a ten minute walk to the city core. The roof top terrace was beautiful.
Nothing. It was all good.
Everything was clean, bathroom looked new and had a good shower. It overlooked an alley way so was quiet. We arrived late and staff were helpful enough to give us the code to get in and leave our room key and bill on reception.
Walls very thin and you could hear people using their bathroom, walking along the hallway etc. Fine for an overnight stay but I wouldn't stay longer. They gave me someone else's bill for 2 nights instead of one and it took a while to sort it out next morning. There is very little parking and the area looks a bit dodgy at night
Very friendly staff, great value for your money.
Comfortable quiet room, convient location; helpful, knowledgeable staff, free parking.
Room a bit gloomy
Value for money Staff Location is ok
Friendly, unobtrusive staff. Good vfm
The hotel and staff were very accommodating. Breakfast although extra was very good. The room was efficient and very clean. AC on warm days was very welcome. A great location close to the enter of town. I would gladly recommend this hotel!
hard to find parking
Great air con Lovely fresh breakfast Fab roof terrace
Parasols on roof terrace didn't work and I hoped to relax here Coffee at breakfast could have been better
First of all, the hostess made the room available for me though I arrived earlier than the check-in time. The room is super clean and comfortable. They even charged me "children's rate" for my breakfast because they forgot to bring me the croissant! Their honesty and gentleness is very impressive. I travelled in France for 10 weeks and stayed at many hotels. This only happened once. Merci!
The hotel is located on the other side of the river. Walking from the train station is 20+ minutes while dragging the luggage. But it is a pleasant and easy walking, I have to admit :-)
Well, if you really want to be absorbed in the atmosphere of Provence, you can boldly stay at this hotel. You should not be put out of countenance about the appearance of the hotel as it won't disappoint as it is typically for this area.
Breakfast was nice and room was quiet
Location was hard to navigate and not close to city center. Walk back after dinner was not ideal. Parking was non existent and we were told there was a parking garage close by but we never found it and had to trust street parking which turned out fine for one night stay. The room didn't cool down even though the a/c was running. The maze to get to room 3 was ridiculous.
Very good located, clean and correct hotel. Ideal for a short stay (eg. overnight while travelling)
Very friendly staff, was available to help with any request Staff suggested excellent restaurants in the area Excellent location
Breakfast would have been a bit pricey
Very good breakfast, friendly staff
