tiny room, no hanging space
No elevator, but that is why it is less expensive for the quartier.
The service was quite good. Helpful con siege. Close to Saint -Paul and metro. Excellent cafes/brasseries al9ng rue des rivioli. Heaps of things to see. Close walk to La
Room service was at a different time each day and this was frustrating especially if you like sleeping in. The cleaning staff were quite rude. The room was fairly small and the toilet and basin were crammed in.
This little hotel is on a side street just off Rue Rivoli. You don't hear the traffic noise. There's a Metro stop on the 1 line (Saint-Paul) just a couple hundred yards away so you can easily connect to anywhere in the city. Notre Dame is a short distance away, and major attractions like the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, and Eiffel Tower are easy to reach in a few minutes bus or Metro ride. Next to the hotel is a small square with trees, benches, and lots of bistros. All of them had good food (try the chevre-stuffed chicken at Le Marche). There's also a fantastic little Scottish Pub around the corner on Rue Caron that would have our drinks ready the second we walked in the door after a couple of visits. The hotel is minimal on amenities, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. They do provide soap and shampoo. Also if you're only used to big American hotel rooms you may be in for a bit of a shock on the room sizes but I had room for a large suitcase, and there was a small wardrobe I could hang clothes in. All in all this was a great place for our 11-day stay - if you are on a budget it's a great value that provides all the basics at a great location. Would stay here again without hesitation.
This hotel doesn't have a lift. My room was on the 5th floor which made for some interesting nights after having a few at the pub. If you are disabled this would not be a hotel you would want to book.
I think the room needs a little bar fridge and kettle
Wonderful location. You can walk to everything and almost read the menus of the plaza from your balcony.
No lift to sixth floor rooms is challenging with luggage.
Location was near city centre
Rooms were way too small and uncomfortable Wifi was connected on a single device only It had 6 floors and without any elevators, that was really bad considering the room rents
The location is great, and the price is good too, and the staff were friendly. I paid for breakfast, and was happy with it.
Nothing really, it exceded my expectations and I would stay there again happily.
Vintage furnishings in the room
The public toilet happened to be next to our room which caused our room and the hallway to smell of urine for most of our stay. Luckily we were only in the hotel to sleep at night. I would not return to this place.
The position and the nearby
There was no bath foam (only shampoo) It was not clean enough (French standard) Small room
Rooms full of character. Excellent location, close to Saint Paul metro station. Staff very friendly and kind.
Fabulous location. Staff extremely helpful.
Rooms way too small, although clean and bathroom modern. With two suitcases for two adults on floor, barely room to walk around bed without knocking into walls and had to squeeze through door to bathroom because could not open fully with suitcases on floor. Had small cupboard to hang clothes etc, but had to keep moving bedside table to get to it. Just completely cramped. Plaza was extremely noisy until 1 am some mornings, children yelling and always crowded very noisy. Did realise this was accepted hours for French people. An extremely expensive area for food and although tried side streets didn't manage to find what we considered to be reasonable cost.
Staff is very friendly and helpful! Location is also perfect.
No elevator. Permanent noise from some pipe in the room- it was almost impossible to sleep!! This was awful. Not sure that this noise is in all rooms but mine was on the 6th floor.
Location - perfect Nice - staff Beds - comfortable
The location is great, and the price is fair for what you get.
So.many.stairs. which the day manager found endlessly amusing as I struggled my heavy bag up to the top floor. I understand many European hotels don't help with bags but having a chuckle about me lugging them up the stairs was a bit much...
SQAURE OPPOSITES WITH EXCELLENT CHOCE OF DINING. CLOSENESS TO METRO.
ROOMS A LITTLE SMALL. NO LIFT.
the location of the hotel is excellent. the staff was very kind and helpful. wifi works fine. better to have a small luggage. there is no elevator.
the bed cover was not clean.
very helpful staff; change of room possible without any problems; for Paris, extremely good value for the money
in some of the rooms, there is a very pronounced low hum coming from the ventilation system that never stops
Super nice location!
Climbing 4 floors with a 25kg suitcase without elevator! A nightmare!! Rooms are so small that I couldn't open my suitcase!
The location was nice. Close to the subway and Marrais. Bathroom with shower in the room.
Very small room. No decent table or even a chair to work if necessary; no elevators.
excellent location, just a couple of minutes from st-paul metro station, hotel staff very friendly , room was cleaned every day would stay here again
not really a problem for me, but hotel has no lift, but would be a problem if you were a OAP or disabled
Practically everything. Excellent location, reasonable prices (for a week's stay during Christmass) clean and warm -cleaning service available every day and in terms of warmth I did practically sleep with the window open in December. Friendly staff very cosy atmosphere, good wi fi connection.
Not a major disadvantage, but I guess the lack of lifts could prevent some people from booking in this hotel.
Friendliness of the staff and the good location close to some god restaurants
Very basic accomdation for a 'superior' room. Very small room. with only a bed and a cupboard. Very noisy plumbing. You could hear every toilet flush and every shower and bath noise.
Location is brilliant and staff are very helpful.
Very small room but great if on a budget.
