Breakfast People smoking in the bedroom next to ours
The bed was ridiculously comfortable which was a shock as the room was fairly grim
Very thin walls, very basic - but I suppose adequate for one night when driving through
location free car park adequate breakfirst, (volante), cost above average
shower curtain not fully effective
close to train station
Cramped room, minimal facilities, poor layout, no wifi, minimal staff presence, isolated location surrounded by streets and some distance to shops, restaurants, etc
Close to centre of city. OK for one night.
Budget hotel. Rather untidy and run down looking. Staff generally unhelpful.
The friendly warm welcome by staff, and how clean and comfortable it was. near to the train station and within walking distance of ferry.
scruffy outside hearing next room pee no tea light bulb not working dowdy passageways
The bed was ok it was quite comfortable. The breakfast was good. I definitely think the location was close to the port and beach. the showers were nice and simple and gave hot water quickly.
The rooms were quite small. The room door was close to the bed so it was inconvenient. Also the hallway between the two rooms had no light so we couldn't see the lock to open the door. The bathroom was so tiny and congestive and the shower curtain was high so the water spilled out. There was no air conditioner or ventilation in the bathroom. Needs to be phone service or intercom in the rooms. The towels were not big enough.
The location is excellent. The hotel offers basic accommodation which suits our needs.
Have stayed here over many years. It has always offered basic accommodation at a reasonable price. The price has now risen to a point where more than basic accommodation should be provided.
Huge holes in walls. Damp patches throughout. dirty shower curtain. Room smelt of damp. By far the worst room i have ever stayed in and completely unsuitable for a young family.
As always great value for money and the location is perfect - cross the bridge and you're in the old town and only a 5 minute drive to/from the ferry port. Good car parking too.
The location : easy to find, town centre and beach within walking distance. Parking facilities.
Bathroom : quite obsolete, very small, water leakage and very annoying shower curtain. Small bedroom, actually too small to accommodate 3 people.
Good location from ferry and then onward journey Helpful reception staff Good value for money breakfast Bar at hotel and comfortable sitting area Spacious, free, carparking
No lift Very basic, small room so not recommended for long stays
Price. Close to Channel Tunnel Free parking
Tiny room. Child's bunk bed was over our heads and so close to the ceiling he banged his head. Cigarette burns on bed clothes. Dirty floor. Damp patches in the bathroom. Bathroom light switch difficult to find (on coving on the other side of the bedroom). No hooks for towels. Only given two towels between three of us. The window locks were door chains which could easily be opened from outside. This was a very cheap place in all ways.
Good location and price. comfortable bed and good breakfast for the price. This is basic accomodation and i would not want to spend more than one night here, however it is a very handy stop off, close to the town and free parking
The bathroom seemed to be falling apart,it was impossible to have a shower without flooding it
The room was tiny no tea coffee facility and most of all the floor and walls were dirty the breakfast was awful and there were no plates. I don't expect to have to eat off a napkin
good budget hotel for a night before/after the channel crossing. Excellent breakfast for the price.
Reasonably easy to find.
We are very unlikely to use this hotel again. the beds were uncomfortable, there was no way of cooling the room (we did ask for a fan at reception), the bathroom was in need of re-furbishment and cleaning, we had one drink each at the bar, each was short measured and was over-priced. All in all not a good experience, we will not be loking to re-book.
The location close to both the town and the port plus the car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were very basic and the decor reminiscent of some kind of institution.
The receptionist who works the late shift was very polite and courteous. The beds were of a decent standard. Free parking.
Wow! Our room had new fittings in the bathroom (new sink and toilet) but I wish the shower had sparkled like the rest of it. To say it was disgusting is putting it lightly! Clearly no attempt had been made in months to get rid of the mould & lime scale! I DID see the cleaning staff the next morning but wondered what they were doing there!
Good location, bars and restaurants just a couple of minutes walk away Attentive staff
Our only window looked out into the rubbish bin courtyard
Parking and WiFi were very good.
Only two towels in the room. Staff was not overly helpful.
The bathroom smelt damp
Very good location for town centre and ferry port and friendly, helpful staff.
Looked very dingy and a bit scruffy from the outside- needed updating. There was a broken window at the front. Shower wasn't very good and no hooks to hang towels on in bathroom. Also, not enough towels for 3 people.
Very friendly staff. check in 24h
