Could not get a corkscrew!
I've stayed twice and both times the reception staff have been very helpful and attentive. The first time we had a flat tyre over Easter and even though I spoke no French through pictures I explained to the receptionist who was very helpful and called a local garage to help. The second time we had trouble with our key not working but were in a rush and the receptionist literally ran around finding out what the problem was. Clean compact room - perfect for a stopover
Staff do not speak English but are super helpful
The location was good for access to the town on foot or by car and also for getting to other places. It was clean and there was always food available for breakfast. There were tables in reception and a microwave to enable you to eat your own food.the bed was comfortable and the heating worked. Some staff spoke English. The parking was good and free. Wi-if worked.
No variety for breakfast day to day so got boring after the first couple of days. The pod containing the en suite facilities leaked and the entire floor was awash with water. Thankfully none of our belongings were damaged but help from the staff was pathetic. The key stopped working after one evening as the batteries in the unit in the door had run out. They were replaced after a lot of messing about to work out the problem but the member of staff worked as quickly and cheerfully as he could. The room was very small with little storage. Ok for an overnight stay but too small for comfort over the 4 nights we were there.
Great location, fair price, was clean enough, nice staff.
Very small room and bathroom, but I guess fair for the price; wi-fi was poor
Actual address of hotel does not match with address on correspondence. i.e. It is actually Avenue Marechal Joffre and not Boulevard Marechal Joffre, hence not compatible with satnav, result - not easy to locate at night in the rain!!
Cleanliness of room. Good value breakfast.
Surly receptionist. We didn't get the room type we reserved - a double room with a lower level single bed. When we queried this, she lied and told us that the hotel did not have this type of room, despite us having booked it (on the strength of the picture on the Booking.com website). When we queried this with another (much more helpful) receptionist, she confirmed that the hotel did have the room type we reserved, but none were available. Consequently, the sleeping arrangements were unacceptable, but unavoidable. Will never stay at a Premier Classe again.
comfort, convenience & price
Good value for the money good breakfast included we asked to borrow hair dryer staff very helpful nothing to much trouble good secure parking for motor cycles
Rooms a bit dark basic
easy walking distance to champagne houses and restaurants
rooms are quite small, you get the impression of japanese pod living.A certain amount of road noise.
This hotel was inexpensive and the location wasn't bad (about 15 min walk to center of Epernay). Parking was free and plentiful.
The wifi was free, but terrible. We felt like we were back in the old dial-up days. The bathroom was a single module, with the toilet and shower in the same area... like on a sailboat. I felt like I was showering on top of the toilet.
Cheap, everything ok. The personal speaks well english! Not only that French, which nobody need!
Good location for the town and tours of the vineyards.
The location was good, broke up a long drive nicely.
The room was very small with a tiny cubicle toilet & shower. The bedroom door vibrated every time someone else shut their door! The WIFI connection was poor.
Staff and location great .
Could do with better beds. Eg double not 2 singles
Clean, newly furbished and comfortable rooms with the necessary amenities. Free WiFi and car parking. Friendly and helpful staff.
Rooms are a bit small, especially the bathroom. Good for a night or 2, but may not enjoy the rooms beyond that. Wifi has strong signals, but lack IP addresses. So not everyone can login simultaneously.
Seating area outside. Wifi
Very noisy all night. No coffee machine in room.Smoking in hotel
Easily in walking distance of the centre. Nice and quite at night. A cheap place to stay when travelling around. Staff friendly and helpful.
Breakfast expensive for what you get. Room smelt of smoke.
Everything. Stayed there many times now because it is perfect. We travel by motor cycle on holiday trips into France every year. It is a super first night stop over place if you are heading to the south, or back to the north for that matter. Safe parking, clean, quiet rooms. Epernay is definitely worth a wander around and perhaps a 10/15 min stroll away. Great(if unusual) breakfast. Cheap and no frills but does the job very well.
Nothing to dislike.
The ease at reception when booking into the hotel. Friendly staff, cleanliness and the calm atmosphere of the hotel
Plus = price, free secure parking, short stroll into town. Summary = use this as a place to literally sleep in. If you are wanting to be out all day exploring all the area has to offer and return to the room to sleep after a good meal and glass off fizz then it's ok. More than this and you will be disappointed.
Very small room and en suite pod! a person should be a contortionist to be able to reach toilet paper.
We need a budget hotel with parking so we could sample the Champers without worrying. Other hotels were too expensive or no car parking. Its an easy 20 minute walk to Champagne Avenue Moet & Chandon et al.Good restaurants close by.
Price for the area Staff were friendly
Everything else Horrible location, only close to a McDonalds Tiny room Bathroom is a tiny wetroom closet Did not feel particularly safe Very noisy neighbours - no soundproofing.
Cheap was the only thing going for it. Staff were helpful
Terrible bed did not sleep. Next night in a different location we transferred our booking to the Campanile next door, same company, definitely worth the extra.
The staff. The value for money and the free parking.
The room was very small (16 m²) but as we knew this in advance we can't compain.
