Hotel Timhotel Berthier Paris 17 is in northwest Paris, just 50 yards from Porte de Clichy Metro and RER stations.
Score from 918 reviews Good
Staff is nice and helpful. Rooms are not to big, but always clean. For business trip, it is completely correct if you consider location. RER and bus station are in the front of hotel. Breakfast is simple, but correct for the price of 4.9EUR
Location is about 45min from Paris centre using RER.
No soaps in bathroom, hard to communicate with staff because they don't speak English.tiny room
only distance for supermarket and train station in touch(20 min to Paris city center) and some people from reception was friendly and some not.Not recommend
Very noisy hotel.I heard people during the night in corridor and the room...oh yeah uff ahh ect It was embarrassing.Wi fi was very poor. First 3 nights the key from the room doesn't worked and man from reception Mustapha who was very cold in relation with client, unfriendly . said ..system problem - no said sorry nothing like this . He said ...what you want...when we ask him the reason of poor wi fi next day.Room service doesn't clean well the room . Me and my girlfriend spent there 7 nights . Linen was not changed at this time . Even when I hang the sign from the front doors "quiet please" servis was knocked to the doors and went to the room. In the lift was cigarettes on the ground and smelled . I'm not recommend this hotel
Location was excellent, with tram, bus, and metro close by. Supermarket and couple of eating places were near. Parking for the car within the hotel compound was great.
For 3 adults it is a BIG no no. Bunk bed was on top of 2 single beds. I had specifically asked for 3 single beds. For someone with knee problems to climb the bunk, is a disaster. With the 2 singles and the bunk bed on top, there was hardly any space for movement. There was only 1 chair in room, and no place to keep suitcases. BIG NO coming back.
Rooms too small, saw a mouse in reception.no restsurants close by
People at the front desk were very nice, easy access to tram and metro, clean room, elevaror. Good for economy travel
No shower door nor curtain, a total mess, water everywhere. The room smelled good but the hallways stunk
I like the location cause near the rer.
I dont like the other receptionist who cant advise anything or anywhere to go in terms of places. Receptionist meant to be expert on guiding tourist.
Close to local shops, train station
Wi-fi does not working same as air-condition....
Location was near a train station
No where local to eat Terrible Wifi Tiny rooms No safe Dated facilities Doesn't look like the pictures
the window opening on a park nearby. the proximity to SNCF and bus and tramway stations. the price not too high for the sojourn. the calm place and surroundings was beneficial. Cleaning staff was polite. that's it.
there was practically no WiFi. too long, more than two days, to change the blankets. two narrow the bedroom -9m2- for 3 persons. air conditionner defective. the toilet too small the toilet easily dirtied that's it.
Nearness to Train Station. Another positivity is the friendliness of the Train station staff. Yes, I mean it!
Health Warning: Do Not Stay In This hotel, if you are asthmatic; suffer from any respiratory condition or have sensitive skin problem, in my opinion. Living in the trenches is a better prospect than staying in this Hotel. The air is so polluted with cigarette/cigar smoke that there is no way you can escape it. Even the air-conditioner makes it worse as, it sucks up all the bad air from outside and deposit it inside the room; neither can you leave the windows open because it is on an ever busy road. There is constant noise by people on the corridors which is not helped by the thinness of wall; the staff do not care one bit. My bed was full of bed bugs that kept me awake till day break. Don't get me wrong, I had expected a spartan hotel due to the cheap price (€115 2 nights) but what I experienced could not be put in words. In a nutshell, its dickensianness is unimaginable!
The nearby RER-station is in zone 3, so you can use mobile ticket 9 euro for 1-day rer and Metro.(in weekend 3,75 per day for youth under 25). The hotel is easy to find clean and near Leclerc supermarket. Reception is helpfil and speaks English.
Cleaning staff is not helpful, still from stone age.
Location wise is okay as it is few minutes walk to station and shopping center.
Bed is full of Bed bugs, loads of cockroaches, staff is very unfriendly, cleanliness is very poor with no change of towels and linen, very unsatisfied customer, restaurant is very untidy, staff cannot attend to customer needs. Terrible experience!
Clean and comfortable. Good Value. Free car parking. RER station very close,
Quite a long journey into Central Paris,
Considering I booked it at the last minute and had no affordable options in Paris centre this hotel was my best choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Is true that is not located in the main area but you have a RER station literally 5 min walk, it runs till 12:45am and it goes straight (15-20min) to the tour Eiffel. Breakfast is great for 5 euros.
That they did not change the bed sheets and towels. If you stay for a couple of days is fine but more than that I would prefer them to be changed, even if I have to pay an extra charge.
Location, it's near of the train station.
The internet is terrible.
Supermarket nearby, discount at Campnile restaurant, friendly staff.
Smoking in the building results in smoke odour all over. No clear indications on the use of public transport.
Good value for money. A good nights rest. Helpful staff.
-Bedbugs, I have never seen them before until now. I did not get a refund for the four hours I spent in the room. I should have read deeper into the reviews on Booking that also mention this problem. My friends and I had about 30 or so bites each after just a few hours of sleep. They were climbing all over the bed, on the floor, walls, and in the bathroom. -The room, for the short time we spent in it, smelled like cigarettes so strongly that we reeked of it when we left. -The main light and the reading lamp in the room were broken so we had to leave the bathroom door open and use the light in there to see. -When we entered the room, there were empty beer cans left out. -The wifi is so slow we opted to pay for international mobile data when booking a new hotel. -I mentioned this before, but no refund. We stayed from 11pm to 3am when we noticed the bedbugs. The staff seemed very dishonest urging us to extend our stay and telling us that there were no other open rooms in the city. I found several and booked one near the Eiffel Tower.
Train station nearby easy acces to central paris. Supermarket just next to the hotel convenient for my family needs. Flexibility for taking breakfast at reasonally priced.
Despite location at a busy roundabout traffic noise is minimal. Excellent breakfast. Discount vouchers provided for nearby Campanile restaurant. Desk clerk quickly replaced a faulty light bulb and supplied towels one day when none were left in shower cubicle.
Sharp edge on door notice cut my finger. Vending machine in lobby only stocked fizzy drinks - no bottled water.
Good private car parking.
Very small and uncomfortable room.Poor breakfast.Very expensive for what they offer. This hotel was a nightmare and believe me, we did travel a lot all over Europe.
Staff don't speak in English.
Very good breakfast, the coffe machine gave a nice coffe.
The personnel didn't told me there was a night bus service so the could sell me a taxi that costed 50 euros because I had to be early at the airport
I was happy with the location and the staff was very help full.
The hotel did not have Fridge freezers which it made our stay difficult because we brought home made food for the weekend to helps us cut the spending cost.
