Premiere Classe Laon  

Bring soap if you plan to wash. Certainly whoever thought up the name had a sense of humor, premiere classes it's not.

Good location for event in Laon. Its cheap at 55 eur/night for 3 but for unacceptable reasons (see below)

We stayed here last year for the Laon Historique event.The hotel was looking pretty worn and tatty then and we vowed not to return. Left it too late for anywhere else in town this year so had to re book. Rooms even more tired and more worn. Whole of the thin front wall shook when the door was closed. Room stank of old cigarettes - horrible. Shower/WC tiny and tired with blocked drain - our channel ferry cabin had bigger facilities! This building needs to be demolished and started again. We travel to France 3-4 times a year and only occasionally use chain hotels like this. But on the basis of this establishment we will not consider ever using a Premier Classe hotel unless we are really, really, really desperate.

the hotel is very good value, it is clean and comfortable' It is close to the moterway and easy to find. We have used this hotel before to break a long journey and usually arrive late, the key is avaliable, even when reception is closed.

Everything was as expected at laon

As it says on the tin. Basic,no frills, two bed stop over. What can't lie is the fact that the whole place was full by 6 pm! Recommend? Well, yes, but don't expect any luxuries and yes, I would us again for a stop over. No hesitation.

good location near toll motorway driving north-south

slightly concerned of room security and lack of boundary fencing and close proximity to unfortunate housing

Access, parking and "no nonsence" booking and booking-in. The rooms are small but that is okay for just one night's stay. Close to restaurants.

The hotel has an agreement with a local restaurant which offers 15% discount to guests. However, we were ignored once the waiters realised that we were "discount" clients and we left 40 mintues later without even something to drink! Foryunately there are other restaurants nearby. Remember, these are very small rooms but are good for one night.

Someone had been smoking in the room before my use of the room. As you are only able to talk to a machine I was unable to change my room. It was also very noisy with people leaving from 0600 in the morning.

Good parking,easy access to motorways, within easy walking distance to Laon center.Fit for the purpose at lowest cost.
