Premiere Classe Nice - Promenade des Anglais  

Location

Close to the airport, easy access, good value for money. Small & basic however enough for overnight stay

Would privilege Etap Hotel around the corner, similar rate but nicer atmosphere

It was very close to the airport (walking distance) and to the railway station and it offered most of what we needed as a base for exploration. We do not want to pay for luxuries which never get used by us. The staff were helpful. It was also very convenient for Phoenix Park, a superb visitor attraction. Its also very convenient for taking a stroll along the Promenade des Anglais into Nice Ville.

The breakfast was a bit limited for English people. Even a boiled egg would have been acceptable. We had to eat in Arenas. I do not like coffee. The queue for breakfast on Saturday morning was horrendous. It was noisy at night, especially with slightly out of control and excitable children running up and down the corridors on the Friday until past normal sleeping time . The airport is not a problem. The real noise source is the road traffic at night as well as by day. The windows of the room could not be opened because of the glazing installed to minimise sound intrusion. There are no English Channels on the TV ( or any other language apart from French).

The reception is in the 3rd floor, the elevator was very slow, there was no place to park, all full, there wasn't enough towels, but I would stay there again...

I didn't like the room was super small for 3 persons and the bathroom even smaller

Premiere Classe Nice was value for money, very basic but not unpleasant. The room smelt like cigarettes at first but when window was open the smell soon left. The location is absolutely excellent as right on the beach front and very close to airport.

There is only 2 lifts, one of which was out of order for days. The room air conditioner was not working. The window could not open. The hotel was rotten with the smell of smoke. The toilet seat was broken. No toilet paper. I have taken up my concerns with the assistant manager who informed me that I will be refunded. I hope and trust that this will be done as it was by far the worst hotel I have ever slept in! The staff was very helpful though.
