The hotel had character, was close to the beach and virtually in the centre of the town. Our first floor room had very limited sea views so ask for a room on a higher floor which will offer better views. Parking was difficult and you have to pay to park in the car park nearby. We were lucky though, as a space came available outside the hotel and was free.

The beds were very comfortable (I stayed in 2 different rooms), the bathrooms were very clean, The wardrobes did not have any of the ususal mess in them, the view was fabulous, and the staff gave us some oranges from the tree when we said we would not have breakfast. They were very accomodating and friendly. At night all you could hear was the sea and some birds. The rooms were very large and well furnished. The colour of the walls, although it wasn't bad I would not peint it this shade. The room on the 3rd floor had a plug-in air freshener that was quite horrible, but I unplugged it and then it was fine.

Location. Looks better outside than in. Paid extra for a single seaview room for 2 nights. Was ,upgraded, to a cramped room with two singles, NO seaview, no extras. Changed to the Riviera after 1 night.

The staff was exceptional. From the time I booked this hotel until departure the staff was most accommodating, helpful, friendly and courteous. My daughter and I spent one night in the main facility and 2 nights in the bungalow on property. The hotel room was delightful. The bungalow was a bit primative. The first night in the bungalow we had no TV service and it was a bit cold, and were without a phone so we had no way of contacting the hotel staff for assistance other than walking back to the lobby. The bungalow would be great for a family, but I would prefer to stay in the main hotel facility if I were to come here again. The free shuttle provides a great way to get back and forth to Sorrento and the driver was most accommodating and professional. Overall this was a pleasant stay for us, but again, I would recommend staying in the main hotel facility. Can't say enough praise to the staff for their excellent customer service. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The breakfast is delicious. On our last morning we had to rush and asked for a coffee to go. Despite the fact that they don't usually do this, the staff bent over backwards and were quite creative to accommodate our request. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again on a future visit. Bungalow 6 out of 10 for accommodation, but the hotel room was a 9 out of 10 and service is a 10+. The bungalow was cold, small and a bit isolated, but an acceptable alternative if hotel room isn't available.Had a quaint charm even though a bit primative. The hotel room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom ammenities are great.

We were pleasently surprised for a 2 star hotel to be so welcoming, friendly and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast substantial and could sit in the garden if we wished to. Nothing negative to say.

Fantastic location in beautiful Villefranche sur mer. Breakfast in the lovely courtyard with delicious marmalade made from the orange trees served by the lovely Michelle. Bed very uncomfortable and shower needs a shower door.

Our room was newly renovated and was on the top floor with a fantastic view from the tiny balcony. The staff spoke English and was very friendly and helpful.location was easy walking to the waterfront and old town and many restaurants. for a two star hotel we were more than satisfied.the breakfast was great and eaten in the garden or cute dining room. Not really for the price.... Just a little old but it added to the atmosphere!

The location, the staff, made to feel welcome. Good use of English....better then my school-boy French. The lift was broken and my room was right by the stairs so I heard everyone coming and going up and down the stairs. If the lift was working this wouldn't have been a problem, but I did have to tell some other guests to please be quiet at 1.30am.

The Madame runningvtheplqce makes everything worthwhile! Super friendly, great smile and wilingnessto answer all my questions with patience. Trying to find it at night with Garmin is hard, parking is on street. Just grab any spot, another pay before nine. Or, do as she recommends and walk to the Citadel, find the office, and they will sell you a pass good for all parking, all week (still a value for one days use) for $15 Euros.
