Pretty good location: near a metro station, but not particularly near the highly desirable sections of Paris. Room was good sized, especially for a European city. Maid service was very good. Front desk personal was helpful. While the room was relatively large, both the bathrooms and closets were oddly laid out. There were two bathrooms, a small one and a large one. The small one was very small and had a toilet and a little sink. It was so small that it was difficult to enter and close the door and I am slim. The large one was mostly empty, but included a tub, a bidet and two sinks, but no shower. The lack of shower was inconvenient and given all the wasted space, it seemed like an unnecessary oversight.

I liked the area, Very close to metro, theatre, shops and cafes. Room was quiet, good soundproofing, airconditioning worked well. Beds firm but comfortable. Very small lift, stairs easier unless you have large cases.

I was leary because I had experienced less pleasant stays in Paris hotels before ....I was less than enthusiast when I got to my room on the 6th floor facing the street but the room was very clean, the bathroom had been renovated and I had airco and double pane windows...I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised because I slept wonderfully and never heard street noises.. The staff is wonderfully nice, multilingual and helpful. Marsha is extremeley dedicated at the reception and there is nothing the personnel won't do to help. I certainly plan to return and stay there now that I found such a gem. The breakfast room is below and a little cramped but the buffet breakfast makes up for it.

Staff was fun and friendly. Our room was accessible only by stairs. Not a big issue with moderate luggage and for younger people.

It was a great choice for location and friendliness of the staff, with special mention of the wonderful receptionist on duty when we arrived. Unfortunately cannot remember her name but she told us she is from Niger and spoke excellent English. She was very helpful with advice as it was our first trip to Paris. There was a false fire alarm during our first night, with all the dazed guests gathering in the reception area in the middle of the night. There was also an electric power cut but unsure what was the cause. These incidents occurred during our stay of just 4 nights!

I liked the fact that the metrostation "Convention" was around the corner. The Garden Room is not a room with a door to the garden nor with a view of a garden. The rooms are not spacious. And some non-smoking rooms have the stank of smoke.

Abaca is located bang opposite the convention metro station which was a huge plus. The RER station is also located at a distance of 20 minute walk - for trains to versailles. The staff at the hotel were extremely warm and friendly, ever ready to give tips on places to shop and sightsee. Value for money and French arrogance is something u will not encounter here. Breakfast is for 15 euro per person.

Staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful.only thing I did not like was the size of the room . it was rather tiny ,but I have been told that is the norm for paris the garden of the hotel made up for the tiny room , it was very nice.the price for the breakfast 15 euros is a little steep.i would go back to your hotel since as a total I was satisfied.

I liked the attention of the staff. The room is small but impeccably clean as well as the bathroom. The little garden in back is a +. My favorite part was the location of the hotel: right near the subway & bus stop, shops restaurants, movie theater, etc. I was looking for a hotel in this neighborhood specifically because family lives nearby. The information from staff on cost of internet access (wi-fi) could have been clearer (some said 9E/day, other said included in booking.com reservation- which it was). Price is not cheap but ratings in Paris hotels (# of stars) fluctuates and better safe than sorry!

The location of the hotel is good with the metro being very close. There are many shops nearby too. The rooms are very small. For the price I would have expected at least some tea making facilities. The lift is very very small and barely fit 3 people with two pieces of hand luggage.

The receptionist, Marshia, was great!! She recommended restaurants and activities and was very knowledgeable and very friendly. Our room was clean, it had a blow dryer and if you ask the front desk they will provide you with an iron & board. We were on a budget & this hotel was perfect as a base to explore Paris. With the exception of Marshia, the front desk staff were rude & unwilling to help. Fortunately we didn't have to deal with them much.
