We've been to the this hotel about 8 times over the past ten years. Rooms are clean, en suite and comfortable and room service is daily. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Breakfast is more than ample with good selection. Location is central to all tourist attractions. Main St Lazare train station is a mere 7 minute walk, while you have a metro station "Villiers" at the top of the street and "Europe at the bottom of the street. Shuttle bus from hotel to Charles de Gaulle Airport is only 17 euros per head. Hotel will phone and book this for you in advance if you ask. Well worth the money and takes away the hassle of jumping on trains or buses.

The location and convenience to Metro and some sites made it a pleasant experience. The restaurants in the vicinity was decent and not overpriced. There were 2 lights out of 4 in my room that were not working when I checked in and they were not repaired despite repeated reports. They remained inoperable till checked out. No explanation was given by the front desk just that their technician has been to my room to repair. I felt that there was a lack of sincereity and urgency to attend to my complaint. Front desk need to improve on the service to customers.

Although it located near a tube station, it is not a main tube station, travel around might take time. Few shops and restaurant near the hotel, you might required to have dinner elsewhere before returning to hotel. Reception is not helpful. Breakfast is slightly better than continental breakfast, however, staff will not refill the food when it runs out unless request. Towels not replaced on daily basis. No need to watch TV if you do not know French. The only english channel is always have bad signal.

The location of this hotel is very convenient - you're a couple blocks from St. Lazare which is a major metro hub. You're also within very convenient walking distance to the Opéra/Grands Magasins area of Paris known for great shopping (Printemps, Galeries Lafayette). From here you can also go very easily to the left bank in the area of the Mus. d'Orsay. The hotel is small and the staff is quite friendly and helpful. There is a nice breakfast buffet (or have it in your room) which is not free, but is quite alot of food for the money. There are also several restaurants and brasseries in the area if you prefer to go out for your morning coffee/tea. Free wifi in the hotel (and in your room) is very very nice. There's a Franprix and a self-serve laundromat just next to the hotel - also very convenient. Near St. Lazare are many stores, tabacs, etc. for anything else you might need. Taxis are easy to get at St. Lazare as well. My only complaint is that the room really is quite small for two people. For one it would be ok, but two is difficult unless you're used to very small quarters. But small rooms are quite typical of Parisian hotels unless you can afford real luxury. Anyway, spend your time outside of the room, not in it!

Actually I liked everything about this hotel. I was in good mood, celebrating New Year, and the room was small, but really comfortable with all the necessary things. The location was quite good, in a 15 minutes walk to Grand Opera and Gallerie Lafaette. All in all I liked the hotel, and if you are not willing to spend a bigger sum of money, that would be a good choice.

Great and spacious rooms. I always stay in 3 stars hotels in Paris and it's the first time we have a real king size bed and not 2 single beds put together. The other rarity is to have a real shower and a bathtub. Internet was good and easy access. Very good price/quality

Good location. Very easy to move around Paris from there. Taxi from Gard de Nord cost € 7. Very good breakfast, worth every Euro you pay for. Room/bathroom looks like it have been renovated few years ago. Good shower. The rooms are very small (as usual in Paris) but they still manage to fIt a cot in the room. The lift only fits 2 persons inside. A bit pricey in my opinion, but again this is Paris!

Was pleasently surprised at how nice the hotel was in comparison to most hotels in Paris. It was in a nice, upmarket part of city and very close to Metro stations and walking distance to the Opera area of Paris. Staff were pleasent & friendly and could speak English which was a bonus. The hotel itself was extremely warm, surprising for the end of October and the air conditioning wasn't great, rooms were small, but nothing to complain about for the time we spent in the room. I had booked a double room, however, it was two single beds pushed together. There was a bar in hotel but I didnt see it open once in my three days there.

Close to Gare St Lazare Metro I waited to long to look for a hotel. It happened to be a holiday and was not aware of this when I started looking for a hotel....this was the closest I could get to the area I wanted to be in. For a three star I found it to be more of a two star hotel for the money. The bed was no more than a foot off the floor. The room was roomy enough for one person. Found this hotel to be in a very bad neighborhood, but close to the Gare St Lazare Metro. It was not close to any of the attractions or resturants. The grocery store close by was very run down and smelled bad inside. Internet is with another company and was not working one evening and even though the desk clerk tried to correct the problem service was not available until the next day. Your room key is to be left with the desk clerk when you leave the hotel......not always at the desk and have to wait as well as if you leave the hotel very early in the morning have to have someone to open the front door to proceed outside of the hotel.

We were a mother & daughter duo spending the weekend in Paris so this hotel was ideally located for us. 5 minute walk to Europe Metro (2 metro stops from Opera which is one of pick up/drop off points for city sightseeing buses) & Europe bus stop. General area around the hotel is safe & quiet and good choice of restaurants, boulangeries, cafes and bistros within walking distance of the hotel if you wanted to stay local for a bite to eat. Reasonably priced Lebanese restaurant with lovely staff right across from the hotel which opens most nights and late! Room service menu at hotel is quite surprising for a 3 star! We didn't avail ourselves but the choices while expensive were very good. You can also order wine to the room but not on its own or dessert, you must order a main meal. The hotel can order a shuttle service for you to cdg door to door for 18 euro pp - well worth it considering a taxi to airport works out @ 60-80 euros. The bedroom while tiny was clean and cleaned everyday. Staff in general were very nice & helpful but there is one guy (and I'm sure it's the guy I read about in all the reviews before I booked it!) who is quite rude and highly strung. Ask for and check your bill carefully before you pay as we were charged for petit dejeuner which we didn't have but when we discovered it after paying we were told it was 'too late' for anything to be done about it!!! Wrong people to say that to!!! We stood our ground but had to argue to get our 26 euro back after a line up (not joking!) by the wait staff to determine if we had breakfast!!! Also beware that if your breakfast is not included in your hotel package you will pay 13 euro per person even if you only have a cup of coffee!!! Rip off!!! Don't do it!!! Plenty of lovely places around the area to have breakfast that won't break the bank! This same guy also called our room @ 11:40 to ask if we were checking out - the check out time is 12:00 - we were not impressed by that - unecessary and intrusive. We asked for a room with a balcony which we got! But the double bed was no more than a large single. They moved us to another room with 2 single beds but quite seriously you could not swing a cat! If my Mum & I were not already close we certainly would have been after that tiny room stay! The bedrooms on the 3rd floor we were on were on top of each other and we were near a lift (also the tiniest lift I have ever been in in my life!) so I found it quite noisy in the mornings or late at night when ppl were coming out of the lift/in and out of their rooms so ask for a quiet room away from lifts!

Location was the main advantage of this hotel for us, as we looked for the accomodation close to Monceau park. Breakfast was not bad, but nothing outstanding. Lift is too small even for a one young couple with luggage. If you're travelling with children or have more than 2 bags - you'll need to either use the stairway or to take lift several times. WiFi in this hotel is of very poor quality: connection terminates every 5-10 minutes and then appeares again in 2-3 minutes, so don't even try to download big files. But the biggest discomfort for us was with the lighting in the room: there are no upper light, so if you come back late in the evening, it's very dark inside the room. Overall, it's too many disadvantages for the price we've paid for staying there.
