Great location, especially as a solo traveller, was right in centre ville in a safe and well lit area. Staff were very accommodating and everything was made available, including telephone numbers for all kinds of services you may require and room service.

Very good location and close to a number of bars and restaurants (visit La Plancha Bordelaise on 15 rue des Faussets) Parking not available - need to park in Place de la Bourse carpark which is very close (around €19 per day)

Excellent location, right in the heart of the city. Rooms very quiet and comfortable with great air con, huge beds and everything was very clean. Rooms had a safe and a fridge but no tea/coffee making facilities. Would happily stay here again. We took room only as breakfast was 13 euros each. This was definitely the right thing to do as there were lots of patisseries to choose from on the streets.

The location cannot be beaten. It is so central and you walk straight out into the nicest area of the city, full of cafes and restaurants and shopping. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated to a high standard.

Everything about the hotel was great. Unfortunately, we had not realised that Bordeaux would be so noisy on a Saturday night (all through the night), so although the location was perfect, we did not get any sleep. This is not Hotel Sainte Catherine's fault, we understand. We would certianly book to stay here again.

The price offered by the hotel for our staying was not so chip. We payed 102 € per night (plus 1.10€ of tax per night). The Hotel is well oocated since is really in the centre of teh city but the rooms are quite small even if well cleaned (bath furniture not so good). Staff very kind and available for any question. Anyway considering the price we expected something more. The price offered by the hotel for our staying was not so chip. We payed 102 € per night (plus 1.10€ of tax per night). The hotel has been recently refurbished and they have done a good job. Its very clean and tasteful. The staff are extremely pleasant, friendly and helpful. The room we had which was a twin was not massive but very functional and clean. My 70 year old mother was very pleased with it. The location is fantastic. All the city sites are just a few minutes walk away. The hotel is situated at the stop of Rue Sainte Catherine, the longest pedestrianised shopping street in Europe. We found we could pop back to the hotel to use the loo or pick up something in the middle of the day because it was only ever a few minutes away. Its very close to Place du Parlement, Place de la Bourse and the Grande Theatre. A wide range of restaurants were minutes away. The one which the hotel recommended was the best we had in four days. The breakfast room is on the first floor and is light and airy. The buffet breakfast is well worth it and has much to choose from. French croissants, brioche, high quality salami's, cheeses, yogurt, fresh fruit salad and artisans breads. For us Brits there is scrambled egg and pieces of bacon. There is no coffee and tea making facilities in the room. However you can purchase this from the bar downstairs. The reception staff gave us pots of hot water and cups which we took up to our room as we had brought our own tea bags. There is a little fridge in the room and we bought some milk. We would stay there again. Only downside is the air-conditioning in August wasn't very effective despite getting the hotel staff to set it correctly several times. In the end we had the windows open. We were on the first floor over looking the Rue Du Parlement-Sainte Catherine which was quite noisy at times with bars, restaurants and garbage trucks during the week days. Its the price you pay for the location.

The staff was very informative and gave us a dinner recommendation that was wonderful. Breakfast was a little difficult. There were no eggs by the time we got there. Coffee machine was a one at a time expresso machine. Took too long to get a cup of coffee that was a bit weak.
